All the fears deep in Director Tong Xin’s soul transford into new hatred, imprisoned by Han Fei in the Greed Abyss, aiding his Greed Personality’s seventh awakening.

The benefits gained from conquering the third ntal Hospital of the Black Building were far more than just these; system notifications echoed constantly in Han Fei’s ears.

"Player No. 0000, please be aware! Healing Personality strengthened! After you purify all the polluted personalities in your brain, the Healing Personality will be permanently strengthened!"

"Player No. 0000, please be aware! The Grudge Sickness Core you imprisoned has devoured enough patients and doctors, growing into a Large-scaled Grudge!"

"Player No. 0000, please be aware! You have discovered a Hatred-level Sacrificial Offering—the last mory of Director Tong Xin, please complete the sacrifice as soon as possible."

Every awakening of the Greed Personality would cause significant pollution to the brain, and if not careful, Han Fei himself might be swallowed, so he must first enhance the Healing Personality to withstand the negative influence brought by the Greed Personality.

Successfully breaking through this ti was also due to the help of No. 2, whose brain-in-jar hidden in the Director’s Ghost Creature rged with Han Fei’s will, aiding him in controlling all personalities.

If it weren’t for No. 2’s Brain Fragnt, the countless personalities accumulated by the Director could have easily driven Han Fei mad, making it impossible to utilize them.

"It seems you have gained quite a lot this ti." No. 2 sat on the edge of the altar, speaking only after Han Fei was accustod to his own power: "Let my Brain Fragnt stay in your Consciousness Sea for now, it will help you maximize the power of personalities. But you must quickly learn to control the personalities of those ntal patients yourself, as soone else’s power can never be as reliable as your own."

No. 2 gave Han Fei ti to adapt, but once Han Fei could control those personalities himself, he would still take out his own Brain Fragnt.

"It’s dark, let’s prepare to go back."

The Director in the Shrine mory World was just the appetizer for revenge, the children’s real target was Gao Xing, and everything they did revolved around this goal.

Covering the jar with black cloth, Han Fei bandaged the wounds of the two ntal patients and led all the children to the third ntal Hospital.

The Investigation Bureau was still expanding the investigation scope, trying to confirm whether the Director’s soul had scattered, and follow-up reinforcents had already arrived, starting to treat the wounded and take over the ntal hospital.

After the Director’s Ghost Creature was broken, all the hidden sins under the ntal hospital were exposed. Besides the nurous personalities taken away by Han Fei, there were countless Curse Items and many patients suffering from ntal pollution.

So of them worked for ghosts; others were just simple madn, the "pets" reared by the Director.

Patients and doctors needed to be taken to the isolation area for examination, and various ntally polluting items and exhibits had to be tested multiple tis before being sealed and removed.

The third ntal Hospital was one of the longest-standing Black Buildings, continually researching human nature and cracking the secrets of personality, posing many threats to the survivors. After conquering it, the benefits gained were also significant.

People only gradually understood ghosts through endless battles; within the third ntal Hospital, there were not only many research results related to personalities but also many secrets related to ghosts.

Taking down the third ntal Hospital was the first step in the Investigation Bureau’s counterattack, bearing special significance for all its mbers.

"Teacher Gao, the children are alright, aren’t they?" The Top Student wrapped in bandages approached Han Fei with a group of people, his own wounds still unhealed.

"They were not hard, and they learned a lot from watching the events unfold."

"Then everything’s fine." The Top Student breathed a sigh of relief, his gaze toward Han Fei full of gratitude: "Investigating the Black Building this ti was perilous. If not for you breaking the Ghost Creature, we might all have been wiped out. The thought of it still terrifies ."

"Just lucky, I suppose." Han Fei responded humbly. His reputation among all combat teams at the Investigation Bureau soared, with everyone rembering how he lifted the flag of the Investigation Bureau when nightti covered everything.

"The weak always say they have bad luck, while the strong say they’re just lucky." The Top Student wanted to chat with Han Fei a bit more, but Head Seven suddenly erged from the wounded and waved at Han Fei.

"Gao Cheng, the Investigation Squad’s commander wants to et you." After Han Fei approached, Head Seven lowered his voice, reminding him: "The squad leader is a main combat faction mber and thinks highly of you, but you should also be careful not to ntion your personalities, as he strongly dislikes Ghosts and Monsters."

Head Seven led Han Fei to a specially-designed command vehicle and sent him inside.

"Bang!"

The door closed, and an elder’s voice sounded in Han Fei’s ear: "Teacher Gao, please have a seat."

Han Fei raised his head slightly surprised, recognizing the elder in front of him as soone familiar, seemingly Li Xue’s forr leader, a highly capable and righteous police officer, who knew so of what Han Fei had done and had provided him extensive support, even arranging police protection for Han Fei 24/7 back then.

"Old Leader?" Han Fei blurted out, causing the elder to pause slightly, his expression, usually solemn and stern, now softened significantly.

"I’ve heard about your situation from Li Xue. Although I can’t rember who Han Fei is, I believe what you say." The elder, dressed in a police uniform, constantly reminded himself of the type of person he should be: "Sit anywhere, don’t be formal. I expect to be reassigned to the logistics departnt soon."

"Reassigned?"

"This attack on the Black Building was a grievous error on my part, a misjudgnt of the Director’s strength, nearly resulting in everyone’s demise, and it’s a consequence I won’t evade."

"Who could have expected that despite both being Hatred, the Director’s Ghost Creature was much more formidable than ordinary Hatred? Without trying, we’d inevitably pay an even heavier price in future attempts to attack the Black Building. You made no mistakes; it was just that the attack was delayed for too long. Perhaps we should have acted years ago to spare more children from tragedy." Han Fei’s eyes were sharp and bright; the squad commander advocated a tough approach to Ghosts and Monsters, whereas Han Fei’s goal couldn’t simply be described as tough; he wanted the unspeakable to soul scatter.

"Let’s not dwell on it." The elder retrieved a card: "You are a highly potential young man. After observing your performance throughout the battle, it’s possible you haven’t realized it yet, but there is a special power within you, like a blazing fire illuminating the night, attracting those who chase after the light, gathering everyone together."

Han Fei took the card, which contained fifty thousand contribution points accumulated by the elder: "And this is?"

"An extra reward, as well as my vote." The elder waved his hand: "Go, settle the debt first."

"Vote?"

Holding the card, the material of which was unknown, Han Fei left. Shortly after, Fu Lie boarded the vehicle, occupying the seat Han Fei previously sat in: "Could not find the Director, that guy managed to escape."

"The most significant gain from this attack on the Black Building wasn’t injuring the Director but discovering Gao Cheng, who might be a more suitable candidate than Li Xue." The squad commander sat across from Fu Lie; the two were long-ti friends with life-and-death bonds.

"I’m not concerned with your affairs, I just want revenge." Fu Lie said, showing no interest with his words, though his eyes watched Han Fei’s departing figure through the vehicle window, a complex emotion visible in his intense gaze, as if the eight-tis Personality Awakened perceiving sothing different in Han Fei.

The vehicle started, and the Investigation Bureau mbers left in batches, clearing out the third ntal Hospital and completely demolishing it before midnight.

The successful destruction of the Black Building, overcoming the toughest hurdle in Zone C, seed to inject an energizing boost into all mbers of the Investigation Bureau, and everyone at headquarters was jubilant, as if celebrating Chinese New Year.

As the foremost hero, Han Fei abstained from participation in the celebratory ceremony, instead driving the Bureau’s vehicle, taking No. 1 and No. 2 to Ankang Pharmaceutical.

Summoning the Dark rchant, Han Fei descended underground, placing the jar containing the Director on the altar.

Children’s blood dripped down the altar’s edges, and the features of the God Statue beca increasingly distinct, as if it was striving to open its eyes to gaze at the Nightmare it despised!

"Snap!"

A crack appeared on the jar, and then the specially designed jar exploded underground, with the Director shrieking as the God Statue seized him.

"How dare you worship other God Statues? The Divine Spirit will not spare you!"

"It has already seen you; it will soon return!"

No matter what the Director said, his fate was sealed.

Under the combined assault of No. 1 and No. 2, the Director’s final obsession was crushed, sacrificed to the God Statue.

"Player No. 0000, please be aware! You have completed the second sacrifice! The Sacrificial Offering is Hatred-level! Enjoy all the experience! Gain one wish opportunity!"

"Wish one: Double experience!"

"Wish two: Obtain a randomly assigned E Talent from a Divine Spirit!"

"Wish three: Waive wish, hope for the Divine Spirit to awaken faster!"

Just like before, Han Fei chose wish three.

After two sacrifices, the God Statue beca increasingly lifelike, with Divine Patterns appearing on its skin, and the connection between it and Han Fei grew stronger.

Staring at the God Statue, Han Fei seed to see another version of himself, trapped inside a cage, awaiting redemption.
