Chapter 364: Chapter 8 Impatient_2

At the wedding banquet’s end, Lin Xiaoguai turned her head and saw Yang Xiaoli leaning her head intimately and whispering sothing to Qi Sheng, and couldn’t help but reveal a faint smile.

How wonderful, all three of us are doing just fine.

Separation is ultimately a sad affair, but seeing Qi Sheng, who had co to the train station to see them off, staying by Yang Xiaoli’s side, Lin Xiaoguai and Zhu Huixi exchanged a smile and finally felt at ease about this good friend.

When she got ho, Lin Xiaoguai didn’t tell anyone that she had just taken the bus back from the train station entrance.

Lin Xiaoguai returned to the compound, she expected to see a ho covered in dust, but found it no different from when she left, still spotless.

First, she made a phone call to Zhi Xin Garden, telling grandma and the others that she was back and then asked Mrs. Zhang to bring the quadruplets ho.

No choice, she wanted to pick up the kids herself, but it was getting late, and if she didn’t start cooking dinner soon, Shen Chi would co ho to an empty stomach.

Opening the refrigerator, she saw that the fresh food compartnt was almost empty, with only two green onions and a box of eggs, but fortunately, there was a piece of beef brisket and half a chicken in the freezer. She figured she could just go pick so vegetables from the garden to put together a full al.

“Mama?” At that mont, the voice of Little Niangao ca from the door.

“Little Niangao?” Lin Xiaoguai looked towards the door with a smile.

Shen Yinian quickly put on slippers, rushed over and hugged her waist, snuggling up to her and saying, “Mama, I missed you so much.”

“Mama missed Little Niangao too.” Lin Xiaoguai bent down and affectionately kissed his forehead.

Perhaps due to not having seen his mother for a while, Shen Yinian was especially clingy to Lin Xiaoguai today, following her everywhere she went. Eventually, Lin Xiaoguai couldn’t stand it anymore; she sent him off to do his howork, and he went off to his little study, albeit reluctantly.

When Shen Chi saw that busy figure in the kitchen, he couldn’t help but wipe his eyes to make sure it wasn’t his imagination.

Lin Xiaoguai was bent over, chopping eggplants, when suddenly, without warning, two arms reached out and pulled her into an embrace.

“Shen Chi!” She looked down at the slice of eggplant askew on the cutting board, both annoyed and amused.

Shen Chi didn’t care; he buried his face in the crook of her neck, deeply inhaling a scent he found unforgettable.

“Alright, let go of , I still have to cook,” she said quickly, trying to soothe him as his arms remained unmoved.

“Wanwan, I missed you.”

“Mhm.”

“I really missed you a lot.”

“Mhm, I know.”

However she said it, it sounded perfunctory.

Shen Chi imdiately got angry, turned her face towards him and fiercely kissed her, with all the passion and ferocity he could muster.

Her breath was stolen, the scent of Shen Chi invading, and in monts, Lin Xiaoguai was like water, collapsing in his arms.

He had intended to keep it light, just to grab her attention, but now, tasting her sweetness, how could he let go? His arms tightened around her, his lips and tongue playfully exploring her mouth unabated.

After a long while, when Shen Chi finally let go of Lin Xiaoguai, her cheeks were flushed, her gaze was hazy, and she hung limply in his arms, her limbs too weak to support her.

Seeing her like that heated Shen Chi from the inside out, his kisses lightly falling on her eyes, then wandering to her earlobe, gently sucking it and feeling her tremble in his embrace, his breath growing heavier, and a certain part of his body fully awakening.

“Shen Chi, stop… Little Niangao is in the study,” Lin Xiaoguai said breathlessly, coming out of her daze as the situation threatened to spiral out of control.

“Damn,” Shen Chi said with frustration, relentlessly kissing her before finally managing to stop himself.

Sure enough, at tis like these, children were more of a nuisance.

Lin Xiaoguai also took so ti to calm her stirred emotions, then glared at Shen Chi and scolded: “You’re such a horn dog!”

Shen Chi touched his nose, “What kind of idiot would act all stoic in front of his own wife?”

Lin Xiaoguai ignored him, saw the chopped eggplant into the pan to start frying, prepared braised eggplant, then chopped potatoes, stewing them together with the beef brisket.

During this ti, Shen Chi didn’t leave. He leaned against the doorfra, his gaze lingering on her with longing.

Lin Xiaoguai was used to this behavior; every ti he returned from a mission, he’d go through a “clingy period”, only this ti, the person who had left was her.

In this behavioral pattern, they were like father like son.

When Lin Xiaoguai finished dinner, Mrs. Zhang just happened to bring the quadruplets back.

“Mrs. Zhang, I’ve finished cooking dinner; please take yours and Jian’an’s portions to your own room to eat.” In the Shen Family, the helpers’ als were served separately for them to eat in their own rooms, given that the rooms arranged for helpers were quite spacious and easily accommodated a small dining area.

Of course, whether Luo Yufang and the other elders minded eating with the helpers was their business. Lin Xiaoguai, however, didn’t like an outsider at the dining table. But if in the future everyone got along like family mbers, Mrs. Zhang and Mrs. Yu being integrated into the household, becoming part of the family, then there would be no need to insist on separate dining.

After dinner, helping the quadruplets bathe and playing with them for a while, Lin Xiaoguai finally went upstairs leisurely, under the urging gaze of Shen Chi.

As soon as the bedroom door closed, Shen Chi couldn’t wait to pin her to the bed, stripping her clothes off quickly before pressing down on her.

“Um… slow down…”

“I can’t slow down…”

“Wanwan, you feel so good inside…”

“Shut up!”

The sound of their low, intimate murmurs rose from ti to ti until it quieted down in the late night.

“Wanwan?” Seeing the woman in his arms, tired out and unable to keep her eyes open, Shen Chi’s gaze overflowed with love as he tenderly kissed her on the lips.
