Chapter 362: Chapter 7: A Chance Encounter with an Admirer_2

Lin Xiaoguai felt a bit awkward. After all, she really couldn’t rember her junior high classmates; to her, it was like sothing from a previous lifeti.

Seeing she didn’t respond, Chang Chunji looked sowhat disappointed but quickly perked up and said, “Are you here to tour Su City? Is this your husband?”

His gaze fixed on Wang Han, carrying a clear sense of loss.

Now even a fool could tell that this man was an admirer of Lin Xiaoguai.

“No,” Lin Xiaoguai shook her head, and before he could smile, she added, “My husband didn’t co this ti. This is my good friend and her husband.”

“Hello,” Chang Chunji greeted, then his eyes once again settled on Lin Xiaoguai. “Where do you live now? What kind of work do you do?”

Even though learning that the girl he once had a crush on was now married was a bit of a blow to him, this unexpected reunion was enough to bring him joy, even if she couldn’t recognize him.

After all, even back then, he wasn’t exactly the most conspicuous among those who admired Lin Xiaoguai.

Lin Xiaoguai found his enthusiasm sowhat overwhelming, but since he acted as though they were quite familiar, and with her typically passive personality, she could only answer, “In the Capital. I’m not working; I just opened a store.”

“Opening a store is good, owning a store ans freedom,” Chang Chunji nodded repeatedly, then asked, “I heard you saying you wanted to buy specialties from Su City, do you need my help? I’ve been here for two years, after all.”

Lin Xiaoguai hesitated and looked to Wang Han and Zhu Huixi for their opinion.

“It would certainly be nice to have soone show us around since we’re unfamiliar with the place and don’t know which shops are good,” Wang Han agreed after thinking it over.

Chang Chunji didn’t appear to have any ulterior motives; at most, he simply wanted to spend more ti with Lin Xiaoguai, and didn’t seem to harbor inappropriate thoughts.

With Chang Chunji leading them, the group indeed had a much smoother ti. He had been modest in saying he’d only been in Su City for two years, but he was extrely familiar with the city’s streets and alleys.

“Actually, I work as a tour guide at a travel agency. I’m usually out and about. Many tourists want to buy local specialties, so we have to be familiar with them,” Chang Chunji sheepishly explained upon seeing their surprised looks.

Travel agencies were still an erging industry, and not many people knew about it, but Zhu Huixi was quite excited to hear this.

“Does that an we can look for you when we want to co to Su City again?”

“I can leave a phone number with you. If you need anything in the future, you can call this number and just ntion my na,” Chang Chunji said while pulling a sticky note from his pocket and writing down a phone number. It appeared that he was used to doing this.

After writing it down, he bypassed Zhu Huixi and eagerly handed the sticky note directly to Lin Xiaoguai.

Lin Xiaoguai was speechless. How could he be so clueless? But she didn’t find him disagreeable. She accepted it and thanked him softly.

Seeing this, Zhu Huixi didn’t get upset but instead covered her mouth and chuckled. She didn’t ask for the sticky note from Lin Xiaoguai, knowing that having it was just like being with her.

When it was ti to part ways, Chang Chunji seed reluctant to leave and said to Lin Xiaoguai, “If you co to Su City to play next ti, rember to give a call. I’ll guide you for free.”

The goddess was still so beautiful and charismatic after marriage. Even if he couldn’t win her heart, it was still nice to look at her.

Zhu Huixi murmured in a low voice that he was really biased. Just now, he only said she could ntion his na, but then he directly volunteered himself to Lin Xiaoguai, and for free.

Wang Han laughed and patted her head, telling her to stop. Couldn’t she see that Lin Xiaoguai was already feeling a bit awkward?

“Xiao Guai, were you close with Chang Chunji back in school?” Back at the hotel, Zhu Huixi couldn’t help but ask out of gossip-fueled curiosity.

“I don’t know; I don’t rember,” Lin Xiaoguai admitted awkwardly.

She felt a bit guilty; he had been so enthusiastic, and yet she had no recollection of him.

“Uh… really? You haven’t rembered him yet?” Zhu Huixi was surprised and comnted, “But he was so heartfelt just now…”

“One thing has nothing to do with the other,” Wang Han interjected. “Perhaps it’s precisely because he had an unrequited love before but didn’t interact much, so now he’s even more longing for Xiao Guai.”

It seems that n understand n best. However, Wang Han thought that seeing Chang Chunji’s deanor today made it clear he wasn’t good at hiding his feelings. Xiao Guai, however, couldn’t rember him at all. Should he say that Chang Chunji lacked presence, or was Lin Xiaoguai slow to pick up on affections?

Lin Xiaoguai really couldn’t rember; back when she was studying, she was solely focused on her books. Although she got along well with her classmates, her only close friend was Jiang Xiaoi. Not to ntion, after what felt like a lifeti had passed, even if she had a good mory, it wouldn’t be enough.

Before going to bed, she called ho to talk to Shen Chi and Little Niangao in turns for half an hour each. After hanging up, and thinking of Chang Chunji whom she t today, she hesitated and then called Jiang Xiaoi.

“Xiao Guai? Aren’t you in Su City? Why did you think to call ?” Jiang Xiaoi answered, her voice weary, suggesting she had already gone to bed early.

Lin Xiaoguai felt a bit embarrassed but asked anyway, “Xiao i, do you rember Chang Chunji?”

“Of course, I rember; how could I not?” Jiang Xiaoi’s voice perked up at the ntion of Chang Chunji’s na. “What? Did you run into him in Su City?”

“Yes,” Lin Xiaoguai pursed her lips and said, “But I can’t rember who he is.” Her tone was rather sheepish.

Jiang Xiaoi was also taken aback but reminded her, “He’s the guy who hid a baozi in his backpack on a hot day, brought it to school hoping to give it to you, but hesitated all day until the baozi spoiled and he cried a river, rember now?”
