"Roar!" Gorath unleashed his monstrous roar, shaking the earth as he charged with terrifying speed. His massive claws tore through the ground, aiming to crush the holy knight before him.

Myra stood firm and raised her radiant shield. When the blow landed, it sent shockwaves through the battlefield, yet she held her ground, countering with a holy slash that left a searing mark on Gorath’s thick hide.

anwhile, Zytherion moved silently through the shadows, targeting the holy knight from the most unexpected angle.

Seeing that, Alicia summoned an imnse barrier of water and ice to trap the sneaky demon king.

Zytherion felt the mage in the sky beca an extrely annoying nuisance. Thus, he changed his target and unleashed his dark flas upward. The collision of elents lit up the battlefield, steam hissing as fire and water clashed in the sky.

A bit far to the east, Alucard unleashed a torrent of fire and blood. His crimson flas struck down his opponent like a teor storm.

However, Rhykdohr’s white fire was hotter, burning the demonic energy and neutralizing the damage.

It didn’t matter if his attention and focus were forced onto this blood fiend because the other two demon kings had to face the reinforcents.

Shrine Priestess Miko finally sent her people to help him, but it reminded him that he almost lost. It really hurt his pride. As an authentic God, despite the restriction, he got injured only by three mortal demon kings!

"You’re better than I expected, White Hero Ancestor." Alucard murmured like a whisper in the wind.

"And you’re weaker than I feared. Such a cunning technique as yours is only fit for the inferior creature. No glory can be brought by employing such a thod. I’ll show you, the greatness of my glorious technique." Rhykdohr replied with a hint of mockery. He slashed through the air to force the enemy to retreat montarily.

After another round of clashes, Alucard realized the heroes were holding their ground too well. The six demon generals were injured as the tide turned. The newly arrived reinforcents changed the flow of the battle, suppressing the six demon generals.

He was there to test the depth, and he wished to gain sothing after encountering this good specin. Sadly, the situation beca unfavorable. His power and the White Hero Ancestor before him were evenly matched. They could go for a thousand rounds, and nobody could gain an upper hand. They both were injured, and it would beco a lose-lose brawl.

Moreover, the other demon kings got pushed into a corner by the Grand Magus and the Holy Knight, two Deities from the Elysion Chruch protected by high-level holy power and divinity.

Nobody could tell how strong the Elysion Church’s full force was, but there were only less than ten people sent here as reinforcent, and it was strange.

"..." Alucard paused for a mont, trying to focus on his gut feeling. At that mont, he felt that there were dangerous threats, watching him from sowhere. So, the Elysion Church’s reinforcents were not the only ones. The main force, the dangerous threat was waiting to strike at the right ti!

"What’s wrong, blood fiend? Did you suddenly miss your momma mid-battle?" Rhykdohr unleashed his mortal limiter a bit. His body glowed with divine energy as his attacks beca faster and stronger, striking the annoying blood-like tentacles that trapped him like they were nothing.

"Too bad, White Hero Ancestor. We have achieved our goal. We may et again on the other occasion ha ha ha!" Alucard laughed as he turned into a blood mist.

The demonic seal formation collapsed. Simultaneously, the other two demon kings and six demon generals were pulled into dinsional holes, leaving the battlefield.

The destroyed forest beca quiet as the demons retreated. The heroes stood victorious, though battered and exhausted.

"Tsk." Rhykdohr clicked his tongue. He almost won, but his opponent imdiately fled when the situation was reversed. He could chase that blood fiend, but he had exhausted quite a lot of energy due to the three demon kings’ swarm of attacks.

The mortal suppression and limitation were not in line with his predictions. It truly weakened him even though he was still a God with a divinity inside. Or maybe, that blood fiend was just an oddball, similar to the Demon King of Extre Evil who could survive the 15th Rank heavenly agent.

Back to the current situation. Because of the demon kings, he exposed himself. Since the crisis was over, he had to flee from the scene and return to his previous disguise as a secret protector under the guise of an ordinary knight.

"I’ll leave the rest on you, ladies. Thank you for your assistance. Give my regards to the Shrine Priestess Miko." Rhykdohr flew down, bidding his farewell to the Holy Knight Deity and Grand Magus before leaving the scene like a fleeting wind.

"They escaped so quickly. I should at least cut off his arms and feet." Alicia sighed, feeling it was rather regrettable. The demon king’s limbs could beco a good material for dark magic research.

"I managed to cut off his hand, and I believe his other arm fell sowhere during his clash with him." Myra pointed to the demon king’s severed hand on the ground.

"Uhm?" Alicia scratched her head, feeling a bit confused by Myra’s pronoun usage. Regardless, her comrade managed to obtain good research material, and it gained her appreciation.

She imdiately secured the demon king’s severed hand into a special magical glass tube. "Wonderful! Would you help find the said severed arm before we return?"

"Alright. Her Grace should be on her way to et the heroes." Myra didn’t mind helping out during their return trip. She took off her holy knight helt and went with Alicia to explore the destroyed forest for a bit.

"You should be okay, warriors." Rafaela healed the last injured warriors along with her junior sister Remiel, Fire Priestess Mizushima Katsue, and the hero expedition party’s healers.

"Phew..." Remiel wiped her nonexistent sweat. Her task was completed smoothly, but unfortunately, the other healers besides her and her senior sister looked exhausted.

The other healers had to drain their magical power and vitality, but the Sacred Sakura’s healers put the burden on the patient. It was incredibly effective even though it would reduce the patient’s lifespan.

After the recovered warriors expressed their gratitude to the healers, Katsue approached the Elysion Church’s healers curiously, wondering why the Elysion Church’s healers still looked fresh and fit even though the two of them healed more injured people than the entire hero expedition party healers. "Excuse , do you have a mont for ? I have a question."

"Uh, okay. What do you want to ask? Uhm-hm!" Remiel raised her arms, stretching a bit.

"..." Katsue gulped her saliva. She could understand if she lost to the holy priestess, but this wolf girl didn’t look like a healer at all, more like a combatant, but her healing magic was lost in comparison.

Regardless, she cleared her throat and returned to the thing she wished to ask. "Erm, may I know how you manage the mana consumption for the healing magic?"

"Hmm, I wonder how... I just followed all the master’s instructions and things... How to say it?" Remiel scratched her head as she couldn’t put it into proper words. She also felt she shouldn’t tell the secret technique to outsiders. Thus, she went to her second sister, asking for guidance.

"I’m sorry, but our foundation and roots are completely different from yours. There is nothing to explain because our magic’s origin is different." Rafaela shook her head.

"I see..." Katsue felt a little disappointed, but she couldn’t do anything about it.

"How’s the situation?" Gabriella soon returned with the attacker team.

"We managed to heal the injured, but two knights died from the demon king’s strayed blast." Rafaela lowered her gaze.

"Casualties are inevitable during war. They died as heroes." Gabriella found it rather regrettable, but she wasn’t too bothered by it.

"Casualties in our first-ever encounter?" Nyla bit her lower lips, feeling the demon king’s subjugation mission was much harder than she thought.

"We’re alliiiive!" Harriet shouted out with teary eyes. It was truly scary, and she contained her fear until just now.

The first demons they encountered in this mission were insanely powerful. If this was a ga, they were in the nightmare mode. A final boss stage right at the first level encounter was no joke.

"Stop shouting. My ears hurt." Richard covered his ears.

"Your shield saved us from further harm. It was a pleasure working with you." Ash extended his fist.

"You too." Michael put his fist as he knew it was a form of friendly greeting.

"We sohow managed to repel them. But, why did they ambush us here? It’s not like they really wanted to wipe us out." Jensen rubbed his head as he was unable to understand what those high-level demons were trying to achieve.

"They hard our party and only retreated after reinforcents broke their demon formation. If the opportunity arises, they will wipe us out for sure." Long Ya crossed his arms with a grim expression.

"Can we slay the Demon King of Extre Evil with our current party? That feels impossible. I want to go ho..." Cai Hong mumbled with a despairing murmur. She got discouraged because of the hard victory. With one wrong move or delay in reinforcents, they all would have died as the demon’s food.

The hero expedition party, bruised and weary, gathered at the backline. Despite the victory, they were just one step away from an utter defeat, almost wiped out. Considering their main quest, it brought the morale down. It felt like a mission impossible. They just went to their death door.

Seeing the gloomy situation, Mashiro ca over like a bright beacon of light. He stepped forward with a firm voice yet filled with warmth and resolve.

"My friends, fellow comrades, look at what we’ve accomplished today. Against all odds, we stood against the demon generals, six Demi Gods demons, and forced them to retreat. Yes, it ca at a cost, and our wounds run deep, but let remind you of one undeniable truth... We are still standing!

Every scar we bear, every hardship we endure, is proof of our strength and resolve. History said no human could face the demon king’s power and survive, but here we are, proving them wrong!

The demon kings may tower over us in power and nace, but they are not invincible. We are not just a group of fighters. We are a force united by purpose, by hope, and by an unbreakable will!

So stand tall, warriors. We have faced the demon king’s strongest aides and pushed them back. And when we face the demon king, we won’t just survive... we’ll win! We’ll grow stronger than ever with every trial we pass, and when we arrive at the Nacrax City, we’ll slay the greatest threat to humanity once and for all!"

The White Hero’s spirited and confident call sparked sothing in everyone’s hearts. Soon enough, everyone’s morale ca back to life, convinced they were enough to end the cycle, the war, and also demon suppression. The humanity would triumph!

"He was probably born to be a hero." Kirara mumbled softly. Countless heroes rose and fell in every era, and the man nad Yuusha Mashiro exuded a great hero’s vibe.

However, he belonged to the other God. Kirara sighed at that. If not for that, she might have tried to draw him to her temple.

"Well said, White Hero." Miko walked over followed by her party. Sword Maiden Kirara and her disciples imdiately returned to her side.

They stood before the hero party as if they were two different groups, facing each other.
