Everyone was currently in a library-like hall, known as the Vault of Knowledge. Here, they found a vast library of ancient tos and scrolls. To trigger the secret gate, they had to solve complex magical formulas and unlock a hidden chanism.
Unfortunately, what awaited at the gate of the 57th floor was a high-level virtual wall, preventing anyone from advancing further.
It wasn’t because they failed to et the requirents and qualifications to advance, the great dungeon simply tried its best to prevent them from going to the next floor!
[Keep out] [Keep out] [Keep out]
A rolling text in both ancient language and the current Vrelenian flashed across the barrier.
"..." Elysia was silent for a mont.
The barrier was pretty weak. One of the divinities in her group could easily break it. However, they should not do that.
"So, this is the reason why the elite team couldn’t advance... But, why doesn’t he want to et us?" Ice God Spirit asked in wonder.
"Pretty much. Whatever his intentions, he is deliberately hiding from us. Timus, how dare you still hide from us? This daddy is here to visit you!" Sky God Spirit crossed his arms. He knocked on the barrier and called out to his old friend several tis, but there was no answer whatsoever.
"Ella, what did your grandfather say regarding this floor?" Evelyn tapped her chin.
"My grandfather was also unable to advance beyond this floor. After doing so magic research in this library, he and his team left. As for the principal, he sohow managed to pass and received the God-tier reward." Ella shook her head and raised her hands.
She served as the guide with the insider information, but the 57th floor was the limit. Nobody could tell what awaited beyond the gate.
"I’ll see him for a mont. Please wait here. Nell, co with ." Lifa stepped forward.
"Oh, okay. We’ll be back in a few minutes!" Nell flew and perched on Lifa’s shoulders. They bypassed the barrier as if it wasn’t there.
"How could they do that?" Darkness asked in wonder as she rummaged through the barrier. She couldn’t even touch the gate.
"That’s because their divinity is far above this dungeon owner." Sylvia shrugged her shoulders and looked aside.
So of Elysia’s disciples were going crazy to check so scrolls and ancient books. They seed thirsty for new knowledge, especially regarding ancient magic and history.
The fifth sister of the Apostle, Uriel, beca the most enthusiastic among the others. Uriel even dragged her juniors to help her to collect as many records as possible. It was as if they would loot those books and scrolls.
"Scan, scan them all. We have no ti to read them all, and we shouldn’t bring those things with us." Xentia summoned dozens of advanced scanning devices.
"Yes, Elder Xentia!" Uriel saluted and urged her juniors to help her.
Xentia, chs, and the disciples imdiately wandered around the library, busy scanning the data of all the ancient objects they could find in this library.
"They started again." Gabriella heaved a subtle sigh.
"What should we do, master?" Rafaela asked her master for instructions.
"Let them be. Xentia is with them." Elysia replied with a subtle smile.
"I feel... the Trade God Spirit isn’t here. It’s only his guardian spirit and vassals guarding this place." He-Dao looked around, feeling the fake divinity aura of the dungeon owner so clearly.
"How many floors are in this great dungeon?" Amy tapped her chin.
"It should be 100 at most. However, it could also be less than 60." Fortuna tried to asure it.
"It won’t be more than 60 because he never built a real trial tower dungeon before." Rhea nodded in agreent.
"Why do you seem to know a lot about the dungeon owner? Are you familiar with him?" Yuna tilted her head, feeling curious.
"Not really. We’re not familiar at all, but I’ve done investigations about him in the past. To my knowledge, he wasn’t fond of dungeon-type divine artifacts, including towers. He got this divine artifact because it was a gift." Rhea closed her eyes and shook her head.
If she had to say it, she guessed the Trade God Spirit was already out of this dungeon, along with the academy’s principal and the elite exploration team four years ago. That would make a lot more sense about why he would bestow his private world to the academy. He probably already took over soone’s body, but she still had to prove the truth first.
’If that’s the situation, then he doesn’t need our help. He deserves a punishnt instead.’ Elena snorted softly.
’Mm...’ Elysia nodded in agreent. The ungrateful and undeserved fall into the category of people who she wouldn’t bother to help even if they ca to her.
They ca here to ask for clarity on the Fallen God’s divine soul remnant, but if the situation demanded it, the initial good intention would turn into an enforcent action instead.
"Lifa and Nell will dig out the answers soon. How about we take a short break while we wait with a cup of tea and so snacks?" Elysia summoned her afternoon tea party sets, including the table and chairs.
"I want so wine... liquor is fine." Amy murmured softly.
"No more intoxicating drinks." Yuna gave a strict prohibition.
Xentia and the disciples were busy looting data from the Vault of Knowledge using scans. They occasionally returned to Elysia’s side for a tea break and grab so snacks. As for Elysium mbers, He-Dao’s group, and God Spirits... they just sat in the serenity around the tea table, exchanging insights.
"Lord He-Dao, would it be possible for you to share a little about how you train or nurture your people?" Elysia asked politely and respectfully as a junior to a senior.
"Hmm, you just need to ask casually, no need for such-" He-Dao waved his hand up and down, feeling uncomfortable being treated as superior to his savior.
"The Lord of Heaven never cultivated soone with his genuine authority and power. Our lord only provided us with a peerless cultivation chamber. As for the rest, he prepared no trials or the like. He would order us to gain so experiences in the outside world once in a while." Amy blurted out everything in just one breath. She raised her wine bottle with an intoxicated expression.
"?!" He Dao frowned. Amy crossed her boundary by interrupting his conversation with Elysia, but how did she get drunk just from a cup of tea?
He looked aside and found the culprit. "Wait, where did you get the wine?"
"Ha?" Amy opened her eyes in confusion.
"Where did you get that wine?" Yuna raised her eyebrows and snatched Amy’s wine bottle. But, Amy took out another one.
"Oh, you wanted it too? It’s okay. I have another one. Hic..." Amy hiccuped and laid her head on the table.
"Oh? If the Lord of Heaven never cultivates his people, then how does he have so many loyal servants and followers? He even has many peerless agents and beautiful servants in his palace." Elysia blinked her eyes, feeling sowhat surprised and curious.
"That’s because we are representatives of our own origin. As for the agents, they are also the rulers of the smaller realms. The Heavenly Palace is the best place to cultivate. Even though the Lord of Heaven doesn’t do anything, his presence in the palace has beco a great boost to nurture us. He’s a heavenly law, after all. Naturally, everyone is loyal to him." Amy pointed at Elysia but her face flushed, half-conscious, and drunk.
"Hmm~ so, the relationship between the lord and his people is more complicated. If one day soone offered you the better benefit, would you leave him and change sides?" Elysia put her hand to her cheek and looked at Amy with a aningful gaze.
He-Dao and Yuna were about to speak, but Elysia raised her hand as she wished to hear the honest answer from the drunk Amy first.
"I think..." Amy considered it once more, but she just sighed with a smile. "Not in this lifeti. Nothing can sway to a betrayal even if I have to die, and I guess all the agents think the sa."
"I see. Thank you for your answer. He-Dao is fortunate to have such loyal agents. You need to treasure and cherish them properly in this lifeti." Elysia smiled faintly, feeling relieved with such a response.
"..." He-Dao was silent for a mont. Many things filled his mind, and his agents recently took up a lot of space in his thoughts.
However, Amy’s response was ambiguous. She might stay loyal to him as his agent in this lifeti, but it might be different if the premise was changed.
It was probably because of her debt of gratitude, but it would an that his agents would embark on their own path in their next life for sure. Considering that Elysia suddenly brought up this topic, she might already have the thought of snatching his agents!
’Wait... don’t rush to conclusions. Even though Elysia is fond of beauties and targets my top agents like Yuna and Amy... this sudden topic may have a deeper aning. Is it related to the Nirvana War? She divined many of my people will fall?’ He-Dao rubbed his chin as he knew Elysia was by no ans simple.
She might look like a young girl next door, a mortal commoner with the fragrance of newly blooming flower buds. However, she reigned the supre divinity! All of her actions and words often held a deeper aning!
"You don’t need to worry, my lady. This is not the first ti we have faced them. Whatever happens, we will remain on our lord’s side." Yuna put her hand to her chest.
She translated this topic as sothing related to the Nirvana Abyssal Demon. Elysia reminded everyone about the corrupted heavenly law and his ability to turn their ally into enemy.
"???" Elysia had no idea what, why, or how. He-Dao and his people, including the servants, looked at her with expressions of enlightennt, relief, reassurance, and various other things. She only asked casually as she was curious about how He-Dao’s thod and his agent’s viewpoints...
