Cara’s loud wails soon attracted the attention of the villagers. The plump woman, who was trailing behind the crowd that gathered, was naturally the most familiar with her child’s voice.

They could say whatever they wanted about her. They could hate her all they want. But they shouldn’t talk about her parents.
Shen Yu felt Emily’s anger, and his heart ached even more. He hugged Emily tightly, wanting to give her so warmth.
“Before you understand the truth of the matter, I advise you to watch your mouth,” Shen Yu said, his voice deeper than usual.
The village woman did not dare to say anything. After all, this young boy in front of her was not soone she could provoke.
