[It's a misunderstanding. Really—it's just a misunderstanding… Who would've thought it would play out like this?! And sure, maybe I'm 99% at fault, but suddenly cosplaying Elysia? That's not—okay, it's all my fault. All mine. Elysia did nothing wrong.]
[Let's put the story aside for a sec—Elysia in that purple outfit is seriously cute. Look at this color sche—much more subdued than her usual peppy pink. It's actually pretty nice.]
[I sincerely apologize to Elysia for my earlier extre remarks.]
[Elysia love~♪]
After Elysia finished reading the description for her new outfit…
The livestream chat did a complete 180 in an instant.
That mont…
Wasn't even surprising, honestly.
After all, Elysia cosplaying the Faded Fairy herself and the Herrscher of Corruption shalessly calling herself the Faded Fairy—those are two very different things.
The forr made people laugh and cry—like, Elysia, how can you cosplay an enemy? But then again… if Elysia likes it, well… whatever.
The latter made people furious—so angry they wanted to duel the Herrscher of Corruption on the spot and grind her to dust.
That's right…
They were being absolutely two-faced.
You don't need to talk about equality with the Herrscher of Corruption.
And after the chat scrolled through its wave of "It was a misunderstanding" comnts—
So viewers began posting more… "imaginative" theories.
[What if it's the sa in the ga as this new outfit? Like it's all just a prank between Elysia and … uh, i?]
[Maybe what we saw earlier wasn't the Herrscher of Corruption at all?]
[Nah, the Faded Fairy has to be the Herrscher of Corruption. She controls those faded creatures summoned by corruption. And co on, would Elysia really joke around while i's that heartbroken?]
[Feels kinda like the situation with Fu Hua's Blackfeather Dragontail skin and the Herrscher of Sentience.]
Still, that wild guess got quickly and logically refuted by other players.
The livestream's atmosphere clearly improved after that brief emotional rollercoaster.
At least it wasn't full of seething rage like before.
Seeing this, Elysia began considering whether to keep streaming for a bit longer or just say a few words and end it.
After all, she'd been live for quite a while and was feeling a little tired.
But before she could decide, her desktop chat app pinged.
Soone had sent her a private ssage.
Hokuto: [Elysia, are you there?]
Elysia: [Elysia will always respond to your expectations~♪]
Hokuto: [Okay, I'm sending you a PV. You can show it to everyone.]
Elysia: [A PV? What kind of PV?]
As Hokuto dragged the video into the chat window, he typed:
Hokuto: [Just show them. There's a lot of exciting stuff inside.]
Elysia: [...]
Just as she began downloading the video, Elysia read Hokuto's last ssage—and her hand trembled slightly.
"Exciting"?
She got PTSD from that word.
Elysia: [Can you not say the word exciting to ? My head hurts every ti I see it now.]
Hokuto: [???]
Hokuto: [Okay, I'll try.]
Hokuto made the promise—sowhat confused—and Elysia finished downloading the video.
They didn't continue the conversation.
...
Elysia then got ready to play the PV for everyone.
"Everyone~~ I have so good news~"
"Elysia-san, what's the good news?" Pardofelis eagerly asked.
"Mmm~ hmm."
Elysia let out a teasing hum, pausing for effect, dangling the answer until Pardofelis was about to ask again—
Then she finally continued at a leisurely pace.
"MiHoYo's official team just sent a private PV. Do you want to see it?"
Her words imdiately piqued the audience's curiosity.
[A PV personally sent to Miss Elf by MiHoYo? What's it about?]
[Is this a sneak peek at the next version? Did Miss Elf actually get insider info?!]
[Could be… for real.]
[Miss Elf, I want to see it!]
"All right, all right."
Elysia smiled and softly replied, then switched the livestream screen.
She clicked open the PV Hokuto had sent.
The opening scene: a dusk-lit street in the Previous Era.
Vill-V walked to the end of the road, where soone awaited her—
Elysia?
Then ca the voice of the True Self Vill-V.
"I want it to open in the grandest way… and close in the best."
(Directly using lines from a past scene.)
It seed to be referencing the earlier part of the story—where Vill-V asked Elysia to program the activation thod for Kevin's Armant Model 666.
Before the audience could think too deeply—
The screen shifted.
A rapid sequence flashed through scenes from the collapsing Elysian Realm.
A montage played out.
Mobius disintegrating.
Kalpas fading into nothing. Aponia falling to corruption.
Pardofelis lying in i's arms, whispering, "i-san… I don't want to die…"
Kevin, facing the Villain Vill-V, finally agreeing to be willingly deleted as a "surprise force."
And then…
Players' expressions twitched. They were barely holding on.
A compilation of trauma?
Could you be human for once?
But before they could even begin angrily typing at the writers—
The PV quietly reached its end.
And a new scene, one that made them forget everything else, slowly beca clear.
Under the moonlight, the Herrscher of Corruption, wearing the purple Elysia skin, sat cross-legged on the stairs—looking down from above at…
A pink-haired Miss Elf slowly approaching from afar.
Yes. The real pink.
Yes! It was Elysia! Was she coming back?!
Then a line of text appeared on the screen:
Main Story Chapter 31 – "For Elysia." Coming soon.
[!!!]
[!!!]
[!!!]
...
[Elysia's coming back? I'm not dreaming, right?]
[Logically speaking, unless everyone in the stream is sharing the sa dream—we probably just saw sothing real.]
[So!!! The writers are actually giving Elysia back to us? This is amazing! Praise the writers!]
[Praise the writers?? You're all looking forward to the next part now, aren't you? Super excited for it, right? But… did you forget? The writers… cliffed us again.]
[...] *n
Countless viewers instantly went silent thanks to that one comnt.
And then quietly muttered to themselves:
(polite words)
