Jian Dan nodded.
Mu Qing’s skull ring on her finger was abrupt and wicked, with elongated lines by the corners of her eyes, adding a mysterious allure to her already beautiful eyes.
Having received an answer, that charm intensified, "I never expected to have such a cute little neighbor. When you’re free, follow Zhao Linlin over to play, my house is always welcoming."

They didn’t talk for long before Mu Qing had to go write a song, leaving Zhao Linlin to show Jian Dan around, who always thought her cousin was a bit wicked, weird, yet very charming.

Jian Dan ntioned her plans to et friends over the weekend, asking Zhao Linlin if she was available because it was boring being at ho and she might as well et new friends.

The two went to the ho theater room to watch movies; Mu Qing’s collection was quite rich, densely packed with sci-fi movies and nurous docuntaries.
Jian Dan felt increasingly strange but didn’t think much of it until Lin’s mom called, asking Jian Dan to co back for dinner. Jian Dan thought about it and invited Mu Qing and Zhao Linlin, as Lin’s mom had prepared plenty.
At first, Mu Qing hesitated, but eventually didn’t refuse Jian Dan’s kindness, picking out a bottle of wine from ho as a gift.
Jian Dan said it was unnecessary, but she insisted.
Wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over her head, Zhao Linlin, dragging Qin Jiu in the front, followed by Mu Qing step-by-step, looking at the cheerful figures of the two young girls, she smiled slightly.
Lin’s mom, seeing Jian Dan bring two guests, was surprised at first, then warmly welcod them inside. After Mu Qing took her hood off, Lin’s mom’s eyes brightened, "You, you, you, aren’t you..."

Lin’s mom went to add more dishes; her hospitality was boundless. Her culinary skills were excellent, and when the three of them began to eat, satisfaction was written all over the faces of Mu Qing and Zhao Linlin. Jian Dan, smiling, said, "If you co over here in the future, you can always eat at our house since I mostly eat alone anyhow.
Lin’s mom doesn’t dine with unless I insist."
Mu Qing laughed, "Her kind of caretaker has their own rules; it seems Lin’s mom is having a good life in your house."
Jian Dan frowned, "But I think eating together isn’t a big deal.
Tell what you guys like to eat, and I’ll ask Lin’s mom to make so more. Tomorrow, Mu Qing, you can eat at ho."
Mu Qing raised an eyebrow, "Do you and Zhao Linlin have plans tomorrow?"
Zhao Linlin, quick to respond, said imdiately, "Of course, Jian Dan and I are going to et friends. It’s none of your concern; you can just eat the food that Lin’s mom packs for you at ho."
Mu Qing wasn’t upset, "That’s not a problem; that’s fine with . Let Lin’s mom make so sweet and sour ribs and braised fish, which I can bring over."
"Hey." Zhao Linlin, angered, "Even if you are my sister, I can’t stand it; you’re asking for too much, wanting this and that, why don’t you have Lin’s mom co make it for you?"
Mu Qing spread her hands, "If Jian Dan agrees, I’m fine with it, I can even pay Lin’s mom."
Zhao Linlin cursed, "Shaless."
Jian Dan smiled, "No way, you can make it yourself and take it away."
