Unfortunately, Hai En quickly caught up, smilingly blocking their path. Staring at Jian Dan’s face, he said, "We just t yesterday, and now you’re pretending not to know ? Jian Dan, that’s quite disrespectful. It’s rare to run into soone familiar in a strange land; don’t be so cold. I offended you before, and I’m trying to apologize, alright?"
He had a look of breezy nonchalance, now restrained.
Jian Dan found him very insincere, wondering what he was up to.
Mi Lu deduced from Jian Dan’s reaction that this guy was trouble and not to be trusted at all. Lai Wei, being thoughtful, was inscrutable, but even she held no good impression of him.
For Jian Dan, Hai En’s bold approach signified trouble because as a transfer student, his fresh face, especially an attractive one, was bound to attract extra attention. Jian Dan didn’t want to argue with him there, her brows knitting, "I’m not familiar with you."
Hai En seed not the least bit upset, smiling, "Jian Dan, that’s no fun. Back in Haicheng, we t several tis, and we’ve even dined together several tis, haven’t we?"
Even if they weren’t at the sa table, that didn’t matter.
