Because Mrs. Bo suddenly got involved, Qin Yunong was embarrassed to the extre, and the Qin Corporation was abuzz with various opinions.

Mr. Qin Senior made a call to Qin Yunong, "Now, can you still tell that you can succeed?"

Qin Yunong was asked so uncomfortably by Mr. Qin Senior, she had always been excellent, and had never faced such severe tones in front of her grandfather. Now that her grandfather was angry, her bargaining chips were diminishing.

Qin Yunong directed all her hatred towards Yuran. If it weren’t for Yuran, how could the Bo Family have co forward to say these things?

Yuran must have been fanning the flas in front of Mrs. Bo.

After all, many people in the courtyard knew that Yuran had been Mrs. Bo’s favorite since she was a child, and Mrs. Bo had doted on her since she was young.

"Grandfather..."

Mr. Qin Sr. cald himself and tentatively said, "Yunong, in this world, it’s not just the Bo Family that has n. The capital is so big, there are quite a few n who can match you. You should think about it."

Qin Yunong stared at the phone that had been hung up, feeling very unwilling. Soone else?

No, in this lifeti, she would marry no one but Bo Yan.

As a child, she had hoped to be with Bo Yan. After so many years, she had a chance and so old feelings, how could she easily give up?

...

Qin Yunong visited Mrs. Bo at the old mansion, which Mrs. Bo had not expected. At that ti, she was making pastries with Zhizhi, learning from Zhang Mama.

Uncle Bo walked in with a glum face, went straight to the kitchen, and told Mrs. Bo about Qin Yunong’s visit. Mrs. Bo’s hands were still covered with flour and cream, holding fruit, "Old Bo, who did you say?"

Uncle Bo curled his lips, "The girl from the Qin family, Qin Yunong."

Mrs. Bo’s gaze shifted to the living room’s play mat area, where a family of three was engaged in so activity, smiles on everyone’s faces. She had no intention of interrupting, nor did she want to disrupt such joy.

Out of upbringing and politeness, Mrs. Bo didn’t have a reason to turn soone away, especially since the ssage had co through Uncle Bo and involved an elder.

She washed and dried her hands and headed straight for the living room, "Grandma."

She had just approached when the baby-talk from Zhizhi instantly chard her. Mrs. Bo pinched Zhizhi’s little cheek and looked at Bo Yan, "Take your son and wife upstairs for a bit. We’ve got an uninvited guest, and out of sight is out of mind."

Bo Yan raised an eyebrow, "Who is it?"

Even as he asked, he reached out to pick up Zhizhi and held Yuran’s hand, ready to go upstairs. Mrs. Bo huffed, "The girl from the Qin family, of course. I thought that after what I said this afternoon, she would back off, but instead, she’s confrontational."

Yuran couldn’t help but laugh out loud, stepping forward to loop her arm through Mrs. Bo’s, resting her head on her shoulder, "Mom, don’t be mad. Just say a few perfunctory words if you don’t want to talk."

In fact, she didn’t mind if Qin Yunong knew that she was already married to Bo Yan and that they had a child, but sotis fewer problems are better.

Moreover, Mrs. Bo had her own thoughts, and Yuran couldn’t bear to interrupt her goodwill.

Mrs. Bo was amused by her, pinching her hand, "I’ll have to ask you to take shelter upstairs for a while."

Chief Commander Bo ca down from the study, saw the family of three preparing to go upstairs, and looked bewildered, "I was just about to co down and play chess with Zhizhi."

Zhizhi in Bo Yan’s arms, smiled cheerily at the grand elder of the Bo Family, suggesting, "Grandpa, let’s go down to the study, Zhizhi will keep you company."

The grand elder looked puzzled at Bo Mom, who urged him, "Go on, go play a couple of gas with Zhizhi in the study. I have things to take care of here. Don’t co down for an hour."

"Yes."

Qin Yunong followed Uncle Bo into the old mansion, feeling sohow out of place, not herself with the old mansion, but its style. Although it was Chinese-style, she would occasionally see balls, marbles, and other children’s toys.

She had wanted to ask several tis, but facing the back of Uncle Bo’s head, she felt awkward. Uncle Bo showed no interest in making conversation, and Qin Yunong did not understand what the old man intended.

He was just the Bo Family’s driver and part-ti butler, yet he seed entirely unconcerned about her status, which apparently was quite decent in the Bo family.

Entering the living room, Bo Mom was already seated on the sofa, while Mrs. Zhang did not step out of the kitchen and was still busy inside, concocting the fruit pie for Zhizhi.

Bo Mom sat in the living room, eager to join Mrs. Zhang in her study.

Her beloved grandson’s fruit pie; naturally, she also wanted to learn how to make it.

Qin Yunong looked at Bo Mom and quietly called out, "Auntie Bo."

Bo Mom nodded her head, inviting Qin Yunong to sit and smiled awkwardly yet politely, "Sorry, my last na isn’t Bo."

Qin Yunong’s long-held smile froze on her face, making her extrely uncomfortable. She didn’t know how to react, sitting stiffly in her chair.

Cracks appeared in the smile on her face.

Uncle Bo, who was about to leave, paused in his steps and laughed, his back shaking slightly.

Bo Mom’s smile was flawless. "Young lady, I know you are from the Qin family, and I know why you are here, but I made things quite clear this afternoon. I don’t believe a smart girl like you couldn’t understand what I said."

Qin Yunong bit her lip, looking sowhat aggrieved. Bo Mom found her face unpleasant, even if pitiful, it wasn’t as appealing as her daughter-in-law’s, "Eh, are you going to cry? My girl, did I say sothing wrong? Or did so word, so sentence, offend you?"

Qin Yunong suppressed her aggrieved expression, each path blocked by Bo Mom, leaving her feeling desolate inside, "Mrs. Bo, I’m sorry."

This ti, Bo Mom did not correct her title, just raised an eyebrow, focusing on her aggrieved face, "Your apology flatters . I’ll be straightforward then; the girl in the photos exposed earlier, next to my son, was that you?"

In Qin Yunong’s understanding, the matriarchs of prominent families usually spoke more cautiously, but Bo Mom’s directness made her extrely uncomfortable.

She couldn’t even answer the question.

Bo Mom did not press further, concluding on her own, "So, it wasn’t you. Since it wasn’t you, why cause public misunderstanding? My son is a public figure, and his image is crucial. Miss Qin, your actions have compelled to overthink;

you harbor ulterior motives, have designs on my son, even trying to sway public opinion to tangle my son with you, establishing a relationship— is that so?"

Under Bo Mom’s intense gaze, Qin Yunong found herself unable to refute.

Bo Mom didn’t even give her a chance to speak, "My sons in the Bo family may be many, but they all prefer straightforward girls without so much intrigue. Let alone accepting your intentions, just as I told the reporters,

you might be an exemplary young woman with many fine qualities, but you are not suitable for our Bo family, and while I am here, I will not allow my son to marry a calculating girl like you."
