Ever since she returned ho to take care of her pregnancy over a month ago, Bo Yan had been working even harder than her, the pregnant one.
He was under imnse psychological pressure, worried about her bumping into things and having serious sleep deprivation, which often led to nightmares.
As a result, his sleep quality declined terribly, and on several occasions, she was awoken by his nightmares.
Sotis in the middle of the night, when she was unbearably hungry, he would make whatever was available in the house, no matter how late it was.
If sothing wasn’t available at ho, he would go out into the cold winter night to buy it for her, only to find her asleep by the ti he returned countless tis.
Plus, every ti before he went out, he would call her, worried she might be bored, and talk to her until she fell asleep.
Even if he wasn’t late, as long as he had ti the next day, he would go out and buy it for her again.
This was the reason why he had lost so much weight so quickly. Sotis when Bo Yan went out to buy things for her, Bo Yan’s mother would take care of her.
Then, with a smile, she would say that she had never seen him take such good care of anyone from childhood until now.
Baby, you are the first one, and you’ll probably be the last one, too.
When Yuran heard such words, she couldn’t help but be deeply shocked.
Pregnant won are prone to mood swings. Most of the ti, she knew she was being unreasonable, and the various annoyances had no basis or justification.
But Bo Yan, unconditionally, accommodated all.
After her outbursts, he would still soothe her, always so patient.
Then she would cry, mostly blaming herself for being immature and irrationally angry, but Bo Yan seed to bla himself even more so.
Feeling as if he hadn’t done well enough to have caused her tears.
So when Bo Yan bent down to massage her, all she could think about was getting Bo Yan to rest a bit.
Pulling Bo Yan to his feet, she leaned into his embrace, arms wrapped around his waist, "Bo Yan, am I being very unreasonable?"
Causing you trouble.
"Not at all," he didn’t move, letting Yuran knead his waist. He had slimd down quite a bit, but it had nothing to do with the person in his arms.
Yuran pouted, "Still saying no, you’re all bones when I touch you. I’m sorry for being such a burden."
Bo Yan’s chin rested on her head, and he laughed briefly, "Baby, are you trying to make feel ashad?"
Yuran was taken aback, "How could I?"
Bo Yan leaned in and kissed her face, "You’re pregnant for ten months, isn’t that harder than what I’m going through? Don’t you give more than I do?
Why would I be struggling more than you?
The hardship you endure, the moods you suffer, and the exhaustion that is more than too much, isn’t each of them more challenging than what I experience?"
Slender and graceful, but due to pregnancy, she sported an enormously huge belly, making her movents clumsy;
At night, discomfort plagued her sleep because of the compression, restless all night long.
The baby’s movent in her belly, tumbling and kicking—wasn’t she having a hard ti?
And then there were the uncertainties of the unknown—was she not under pressure?
Bo Yan felt Yuran had it much harder than him, much harder. So hard that no matter how well he treated her, he always felt it wasn’t quite enough.
He also began to understand the hardships of motherhood.
Yuran couldn’t express the feelings at the bottom of her heart. She had friends who had children before, but what her friends always told her was this:
When n coax you into having children, they promise everything and agree to everything. But once the child is born, it all falls on you alone.
When you are pregnant, craving instant noodles in the middle of the night, there are very few husbands who would get up to serve you, let alone run far to buy you snacks.
After the child is born, you deal with endless nights of poor sleep, changing diapers, feeding the baby. Taking care of the child during the day, taking care of the child at night.
When you see your husband sleeping soundly beside you, it leaves you so frustrated that you start questioning life itself.
What n promise often gets significantly discounted when it cos to delivery.
She was scared too. When she decided to have a child with Bo Yan, she was sincere. But later on, her mood would always beco so low, and she would repeatedly rember what a friend once said.
She began to tornt Bo Yan unconsciously.
Yet, the things Bo Yan did each ti completely overturned her remaining perceptions.
Gradually, the person filled with self-reproach turned out to be herself.
And the one making unreasonable demands was also herself.
Thinking of this, Yuran squeezed into his arms. He embraced the person squirming in his arms and chuckled, his eyebrows and eyes brimming with mirth.
"What’s wrong?"
Yuran, "Bo Yan, if I say that I was deliberately troubling you before, would you get angry?"
Bo Yan was at a loss for words, "Would that make you happy?"
"Not happy, very self-reproachful."
Bo Yan couldn’t help but laugh and cry, "Baby, let tell you, from now on, if you’re going to tornt , just do it boldly. The children are a responsibility we both share;
it’s not like I got you pregnant and that’s the end of it. Before we decided to have a child, we discussed it,
so during the pregnancy, your bad temper, your authority, is bestowed by , it’s also ours jointly,
you can be angry with , you can be haughty, and you can even lord it over , why not?
I’m relieved to be able to share so of your bad moods, at least, it ans you might be a little happier."
As Bo Yan spoke, Yuran’s eyes turned red, and her bright apricot eyes filled with tears. Bo Yan was different.
Not like anyone she knew, as if sensing her tears, Bo Yan pinched her shoulders and propped her up, "Does it feel better to cry it out?"
"Mmm."
"Baby, don’t worry. I know you’re under a lot of pressure, carrying a child and thinking a lot. It’s ok, don’t bla yourself, don’t feel like you’re being unreasonable. It’s your right. You can be capricious with , do whatever you want."
Yuran was amused and wiped away her tears with her hand, "Then after the child is born, you have to keep performing this well. You change the baby’s diapers, you feed the baby, and when the baby doesn’t sleep at night, you stay up and play."
Bo Yan raised an eyebrow, "Sure."
Yuran, "Really?"
Bo Yan pinched her hand and looked into her red eyes, "Don’t believe ? You can supervise ."
"Of course, I’ll supervise you."
"Pfft..." Bo Yan couldn’t hold back and laughed first, "You..."
...
Xuan Ze received Bo Yan’s call just after six in the afternoon. After listening to Bo Yan explain the situation, he felt sowhat at a loss, "How long has it been since I’ve seen or contacted you guys, and your child is about to be born?"
This progress was like riding a rocket, way too efficient.
Bo Yan didn’t respond, just snorted.
Xuan Ze cleared his throat, "I’ve got it, regarding the promotional run, I’ll discuss it again. Qi Younian and Xie Cheng can go too, it’s not impossible. Both have a bit of comrcial value as agents... the looks are definitely there.
When I have ti another day, I’ll visit you guys, congratulations."
After thanking him, Bo Yan hung up the call.
Xuan Ze: "..."
In the RSM Xuan Ze office, after he hung up the call with a dazed expression, awaiting the news, Austin and Duan Chen exchanged glances. Austin asked, "What did Bo Yan say? You look utterly shaken, what does it all an?"
Xuan Ze shook off his daze, tossed his phone aside, "The promotions are a no-go, both leads are busy. Yuran is about to give birth, Bo Yan needs to take care of her."
