The young girl's demure appearance showed none of her past flamboyance and insatiable greed. Bo Yan watched her for a long while, his thin lips moved, but he did not respond to her.

Yuran did not mind, as Bo Yan never liked her anyway. Ever since she confessed her feelings, Bo Yan had never shown her a trace of fondness, even moving out of the Bo Family household alone, the purpose of which was self-evident: to avoid her.

His presence in the hospital was hard-won.

She wasn't the original host, so she wouldn't be heartbroken by Bo Yan's indifference.

Bo Yan looked at her neck, thickly wrapped in bandages, her head as well, with her hair dyed in various colors, ssily scattered like a chicken's nest. His brow furrowed in disgust; one more glance was too irritating for the eyes, not to ntion the ghost-like makeup on her face.

"My mom will be here soon. Before she arrives, you might as well think about how you're going to explain your unreported leave of absence. I had no idea until I checked into it. Threatening teachers, viciously beating classmates... Quite the feat," Bo Yan said with a voice filled with loathing and through gritted teeth.

No matter how she listened, all she could hear from his mouth was disgust and gnashing of teeth.

Yuran felt an enormous pressure weighing down on her; the original host's death had settled everything, but here she was, transported to this world, facing undeserved calamities. It had nothing to do with her, yet in the end, she had to carry the bla.

However, it didn't matter. Since she was living in soone else's body, it seed there was nothing wrong with taking the bla.

Her head nearly buried in the bedding, Bo Yan spoke with a trace of impatience in his voice, "Silent resistance?"

Yuran's tongue curled slightly, and before she could speak, a radiant figure rushed in, dressed appropriately and with delicate makeup. However, she was crying miserably, "Ranran, Baby, are you alright? You've scared your godmother to death."

The lady wept pitifully, her voice trembling. In her past life, Fu Yuran had been an orphan who had never been cared for in this way. In the original host's mory, the concern from this lady was undeniably genuine.

Feeling empathy at the mont, she only wanted to comfort the lady before her, wishing she wouldn't cry.

But as soon as she opened her mouth, the hoarse voice tugged painfully at her nerves, and her facial features crumpled into a small bundle of pain.

The lady lifted her thin quilt, intending to check her injuries, but was stopped by Yuran, who managed a faint smile and shook her head at the lady, "I'm fine!"

The words ca out as a breathy whisper, very light...

The lady, still not reassured, urged Bo Yan to ask the doctor. Bo Yan's frown deepened, clearly irritated.

Mother Bo looked at him angrily, "Am I incapable of ordering you around now?"

"Mom—," Bo Yan massaged his tired brow, helpless and resistant against Mother Bo's anger.

He even suspected that the child's outrageous behavior had sothing to do with the indulgence of his family.

When Xie Cheng entered the room, he sensed the strange atmosphere; it was awkward whether he stayed or left. After Mother Bo complained a bit, he understood the crux of the matter.

His gaze towards the hospital bed beca even more loathing.

But, facing Mother Bo, Xie Cheng didn't dare to be too obvious, "Madam, don't worry. I've inquired already. It's nothing serious. A couple of days of good rest and she can be discharged to go ho."

Seeing Yuran's bloodless face, Mother Bo beca increasingly worried, sitting down beside her and taking her hand, her face filled with tender care, "Ranran Baby, listen to godmother. Once you're better, we'll go ho, okay? You don't have to go back to that school in Feicheng. We'll study here in the capital, okay?"

Seeing Mother Bo's full-hearted concern for her, Yuran truly couldn't bring herself to utter words of refusal, even though she was aware of Bo Yan's aversion to her.
