Xunxun nodded seriously, and the two were ready for a swimming relay race.
They abandoned Liu He.
Liu He: "..."
Xiaoxiao also left her dad behind and went off to play with her two brothers. Xiao Jingqi laughed at Liu He, "Usually, sons trick their fathers, but you’re here tricking your own son. You really have no regard for family!"
Liu He couldn’t hold back and laughed too, "I thought I had it in , but it seems I overestimated myself."
Xiao Jingqi soon joined the three kids, acting as their referee. He cheated every ti, making Xiaoxiao win first place, while Xunxun and Liu Yizhou deed the adults as shaless.
The two little ones sulked.
Xiaoxiao mocked, "Boys letting girls win is natural. Since I’m still young, you don’t need to let win. Dad, stop ddling; I want to compete with them fairly. Don’t hold back."
With his daughter’s instructions, he dared not interfere and let them compete fairly and justly.
In the end, Xunxun claid the first first place, then Liu Yizhou, and as they went back and forth, the first place kept changing hands, leaving Xiaoxiao a bit defeated.
But the little girl was gracious and took the loss well, patting her chest, "Since I didn’t give a great performance, I’ll have my dad treat everyone to a seafood feast, all you can eat."
Liu He stroked his chin, looking seriously at Xiao Jingqi, "Oh, so this is what it ans to trick your dad, got it."
Xiao Jingqi looked at his daughter, hesitating to speak, his lips twitching a bit before he led everyone to sort out dinner. She boldly declared he’d treat them, so how could he back out?
Of course, he couldn’t.
The three little cuties were everyone’s joy, diligently serving food and drinks during the al, ever so eager.
Xunxun said thank you politely and quietly.
Their cuteness overwheld them, and Xiaoxiao and Liu Yizhou’s performance wasn’t lacking either; each of the three little ones had their own strengths, making the young ladies and gentlen there brim with parental affection.
Liu He grabbed a king crab for himself, smiling at Xiao Jingqi beside him, "How does it feel to bleed money?"
Xiao Jingqi nonchalantly ate a crab leg, then peeled so crab at for his daughter, realizing she didn’t need his help before setting it aside for himself later.
Liu He’s words weren’t exactly pleasant, and he pouted, "What do you want to hear?"
Liu He chuckled, "Call brother, and I’ll help you split the bill."
Xiao Jingqi, half-angry and half-amused, retorted, "You really think I’m that poor, unable to treat for a al?"
Liu He shrugged, "Raising kids is stressful, every saving counts. How co you lack this awareness?"
Xiao Jingqi rolled his eyes, "It’s not your place to lecture . The dowry for Xiaoxiao won’t be lacking in anything sour. Your Yizhou will need to prepare a bride price, have you thought of that?"
Liu He, "Do I look poor to you?"
Xiao Jingqi countered, "Do I look poor to you?"
The two stared at each other, neither able to argue or convince the other.
They each turned away and quietly continued eating.
After a while, they heard the tender voice of a child behind them, "Dad/Uncle, we peeled these shrimp for you, eat up! You worked hard today."
Turning around, they saw three kids holding plates larger than their faces, full of peeled shrimp and crab at, along with so seafood still needing shelling.
The two were touched by the gesture.
Xunxun introduced, having tried his hand with sea urchins, with the help of his older brothers. He blinked his big eyes, "Uncles, though Xunxun didn’t do it alone, I really tried."
Who could refuse such cute little beings?
The two praised them a lot.
Xiaoxiao, without a care, pointed at the big prawns, "Dad, Uncle, I peeled all these. My little hands hurt."
She said this while pitifully showing her small, fair hands, and indeed, she had peeled them herself with no help, leaving Xiao Jingqi amused and exasperated, Liu He likewise.
Xiaoxiao grandly declared, "I know you all want to laugh at . It’s okay, laugh if you want, but no more laughing tomorrow."
Liu Yizhou also presented his plate of crab leg at, smiling with a twinkle in his eyes, "Uncle, Dad, this is what I prepared for you."
The pair lavishly praised and thanked the three little cuties, watching them leave proudly, each with a hint of disdain.
Xiao Jingqi laughed, "Kids really do bring irreplaceable joy."
Liu He agreed, "They truly do."
