Before the Austrian Grand Prix could reach the window where teams begin calling their drivers in for the first pit stop phase, another twist hit the race that was already filled with enough electricity.

A second crash occurred, consisting of just a sole driver. So this ti, it wasn’t as dramatic as the earlier Matteo-Derstappen affair, but it was significant enough to bring out the Virtual Safety Car for a brief mont before Race Control opted for a second full Safety Car deploynt.

The developnt forced the teams to forge new recalculations because the field was once again bunched up as a result of the parade. So, since ti gaps were flattened, whatever strategy so teams had begun to lean into prior to the pit stop suddenly needed redirection.

For example, Haddock Racing, Iberia GP, Jackson and Velox used this opportunity as a perfect chance to box very much early since their planned stops were just around the corner. Drivers like Ailbeart Moireach, Hank Rice, Di Renzo and Alejandro Vasquez all entered the empty pitlane during the parade whilst Nyström’s remains at Turn 10 were cleared.

Yes, Elias Nyström.

XXX— Elias Nyström

Unfortunately for the Swedish icon, his relentless chase through Sector 3 proved costly. As he attempted to push the limits through the slight downhill into Turn 10, Nyström carried more speed than his Audi could sustainably handle.

Many drivers had been zooming past that sector with confidence and no slight retardation. The major problem were the tires. Even though they were not completely worn out, they had certainly lost that fresh gripping bite when compared to the start of the race.

The rear of the Audi succumbed with a sudden arc of smoke no one foresaw, and Nyström slid off his racing line and into the barriers.

"... absolutely ill-fate for Elias Nyström and Nordvind Racing! He tried to catch it, but that car was gone before he even had a chance to pray. A heartbreaking end to his Austrian Grand Prix..."

Nordvind Racing were crestfallen at their result of the Austrian GP. Elias Nyström was their only hope for points, and so, the end of his race ant the end of their race too—because Lockwood couldn’t really do anything impactful into the top 10.

It was the team’s fault, though, that they had found themselves in such a barren state. Throughout the post-season and pre-season, the transfer window in general, they hadn’t made any significant moves, neither for seasoned heads nor for erging prodigies. It was as though they’d chosen stagnation as a philosophy. And what was the only major pursuit they even considered? A ridiculously underwhelming 3-year, $2.5M offer to Luca Rennick. That deal was dood the mont it left their printer tray.

If decisive changes aren’t made soon, Elias Nyström might start doing more than just questioning strategy. He could begin to question his entire future with Nordvind Racing—if he hadn’t already begun. He might no longer see a future with them, because he was already too seasoned in this sport to be stuck dragging deadweight.

From the way he refused consolation from the crew mbers as he stomped into the garage, it was clear he wasn’t happy.

As that llow drama carried on, a much greater one suddenly galvanized out of nowhere on the track. And for the very first ti this season, Squadra Corse fans had sothing loud to say and yell.

It all started during the Safety Car parade, where drivers were using the opportunity as a cheap pit stop window. Since there was enough ti to spare because Race Control had placed a 4-lap parade phase, Squadra Corse decided to have Antonio Luigi, still holding P1, make his pit stop because his tire health was running low.

Luigi veered into the pitlane and down to the waiting crew, his rcedes like a living magnificent creature. But just as the chanics went to work and the W12 was being serviced, a ssage blasted across the feed—"SAFETY CAR IN THIS LAP." And only three laps had gone by.

"What? Already?"

Luigi’s eyes were wide. An electric shock was currently coursing through Squadra Corse, and they were all stunned by it.

"No, no, no! Box is still active—he’s still in the box!"

The pit crew head shouted over his voice. Tires were still being screwed on, and the W12 required more ticulous 3–5 seconds of service ti than their other cars. What did Race Control an by "SAFETY CAR IN THIS LAP"?

**Abort green delta. Antonio, rejoin imdiately! Rejoin now!**

The service wasn’t yet complete; it would have to be abandoned halfway. Luigi couldn’t believe it as his car was dropped, and his natural racing instincts launched him forward without even actually thinking about it.

"You said four laps!"

**They cut it early!**

In the garage, Squadra Corse chanics scattered themselves like spilled marbles, so throwing up their arms in frustration, others slapping headsets off. One of the head strategists slamd his tablet on the table, while the race engineer cursed under his breath and began pacing. Imdiately, a petition was sent to Race Control.

Race Control had the autonomous authority to dictate the flow of the race once an incident occurred, especially under a full Safety Car. While initial estimations often led to internal projections like the assud four-lap parade following Nyström’s crash, nothing was ever set in stone.

Once the marshals completed the track clearance faster than anticipated and ti was visibly draining from the race clock, Race Control exercised their jurisdiction to call the Safety Car in earlier than expected.

Unfortunately, this decision caught a particular team off guard—the F1 Champions, Squadra Corse—whose front-runner, Antonio Luigi, was midway through his stop. The race had resud, and the very Safety Car that led him monts ago was now right behind him in the pitlane, returning to its post.

Positions were being filled up!

"...Oh, no no no—you’ve got to be kidding! Race Control has pulled the Safety Car in early—and Antonio Luigi is STILL in the box...!"

"...Our reigning champions, Squadra Corse, completely blindsided! Luigi’s pit crew didn’t even get the tires off before the green light ca back on...!"

"WOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH!"

The chorus of boos and shouts overlapped the roar of engines because what had just happened made either adversaries of Squadra Corse holler, laugh and celebrate, or their supporters chant angrily and wave in utter disagreent, calling Race Control’s action biased—for putting Rennick in P1!!

And Luca, an immaculate dove, always innocent but sohow always in the right position to receive valid denunciation, was right there in P1 after the Safety Car prematurely ceased its tenure.

[1st Position]

Ailbeart Moireach was down in P11. He was there because the pack was very congested, but no doubt, with the R.S.25 beneath him, he would climb up just as quickly as the fall, especially since drivers LIKE LUCA were yet to pit.

Many seed to forget Luca hadn’t made his stop, and was still bound to drop. Perhaps, the way he was so spontaneous and full of surprises, they never wanted to rule out the possibility of him breaking history by never making a pit stop in a single race!

The condemnation of Race Control’s decision grew louder and more dense when Antonio Luigi eventually rejoined the race at P12 while Ailbeart Moireach was already moving up to P8.

"...And there is Antonio Luigi back on track, but it’s P12! From pole to P12—can you believe it?! That early pit call under a Safety Car that vanished too soon has absolutely wrecked his race strategy...!"

"....Boos rain down across Spielberg, and not without reason—Squadra Corse fans are outraged! They’re calling it sabotage, bias, whatever you want to na it, they are NOT happy!"
