When Gu Qingqing and the others went to Canghui City for a mission, Si Lin also brought Lin Xian’er back to Lingxi Sacred Land, directly taking her to the courtyard where Ye Shenglan lived.
Ye Shenglan had already received a ssage from Wen Guiyun, knowing what Lin Xian’er had done. When she saw Si Lin and Lin Xian’er, she was calr than Si Lin had expected.
"Regarding Lin Xian’er’s matter, senior brother has already sent a ssage. I am aware. Since she dared to harm her fellow disciples, she should bear the consequences. I have no objections to senior brother’s judgnt. You should take her to carry out the punishnt directly." Ye Shenglan glanced at Lin Xian’er and then withdrew her gaze, speaking rcilessly.
"Master, you can’t treat like this. I already know my mistake. Please save !" When Lin Xian’er first saw Ye Shenglan, she was very apprehensive. She thought Ye Shenglan would at least fight for her, but unexpectedly, Ye Shenglan simply gave up on her. This was unacceptable for soone who believed herself to have a high position in Ye Shenglan’s heart. She crawled towards Ye Shenglan while crying.
With a wave of Ye Shenglan’s hand, an invisible barrier appeared between her and Lin Xian’er, preventing Lin Xian’er from approaching her.
"I have reminded you many tis: if you pretend to be good to your fellow disciples, you must keep pretending, but unfortunately, you never listened. You’ve always been discontent with as your master and wanted to beco senior brother’s disciple. I have always been aware of this. However, as I have accepted you, I intended to teach you well. That you’ve beco like this is also my responsibility. Once senior brother returns, I will ask for punishnt. For now, you must bear the consequences for the mistakes you’ve made." Ye Shenglan looked at Lin Xian’er calmly, speaking in a placid tone.
She thought she had treated Lin Xian’er well. When the issue of Lin Xian’er wanting Wen Guiyun as her master caused an uproar, even with her parents having so status in Lingxi Sacred Land, no other Hall Masters or elders were willing to accept her as a disciple. Ye Shenglan only took her on account of her parents, never expecting Lin Xian’er to look down on her!
Although Ye Shenglan did not have Wen Guiyun’s cultivation and high status, she was a notable figure in both White Tiger Sacred Land and the Sub-immortal Realm. Nurous people yearned to beco her disciple. If it weren’t due to pitying Lin Xian’er, she wouldn’t have taken her in!
Initially, Lin Xian’er perford well and showed great respect for her, seriously devoting herself to cultivation and treating her fellow disciples with exceptional humility and kindness, helping them frequently. Both Ye Shenglan and other disciples and elders in the Sacred Land had a good impression of Lin Xian’er.
However, Ye Shenglan inadvertently discovered that Lin Xian’er was not as gracious and kind as she appeared. Behind the scenes, she secretly targeted fellow disciples. Those disciples she disliked, she would find ways to make their lives difficult within the Sect.
At that ti, she also advised Lin Xian’er, yet it was dismaying how Lin Xian’er rely agreed on the surface. Over ti, her actions intensified, with her sches becoming even more sophisticated. This made Ye Shenglan’s affection for Lin Xian’er fade significantly.
After learning that Gu Qingqing beca Wen Guiyun’s disciple, Lin Xian’er repeatedly provoked Gu Qingqing, even instigating individuals from other Sects to attack Gu Qingqing. This left Ye Shenglan utterly disappointed with Lin Xian’er. However, she never imagined that Lin Xian’er would harm her peers in a competition, using her fellow disciples as shields. Such actions are absolutely unforgivable within the Sect!
If Lin Xian’er were to be lightly punished, others might emulate her, and what would beco of Lingxi Sacred Land? Who would dare to join Lingxi Sacred Land in the future?
Thus, she had no objections to Wen Guiyun’s punishnt decision. Even seeing Lin Xian’er weeping now brought no emotional stirrings, for she knew that Lin Xian’er truly did not recognize her own faults. If she softened now to plead for Lin Xian’er, and Lin Xian’er was pardoned as a result, she might even end up hating Ye Shenglan. She’s witnessed this type of situation countless tis over the years.
Hence, she would not plead for Lin Xian’er. After Lin Xian’er’s cultivation was abolished, and she was exiled from Lingxi Sacred Land, she would still have her parents to rely on. anwhile, had Gu Qingqing and the others not arrived in ti, the person who took the blade for her might have lost their life!
Lin Xian’er was evidently well aware of Ye Shenglan’s temperant, knowing that once she made a decision, none could alter it. Now that she heard no pleas would be made, she went mad.
"No, I want to see my parents. I don’t want to have my cultivation abolished. I don’t want to be expelled from the Sect. No!" she scread, flailing her arms wildly in the air, looking frantic, a stark contrast to her usual serene composure.
Unfortunately, both Ye Shenglan and Si Lin present were not people who easily softened.
"Your parents have already been inford of your actions. They are deeply ashad to have a daughter like you, but they won’t abandon you. After you serve your punishnt, your parents will take you ho, and they will take care of you from now on." Ye Shenglan calmly watched Lin Xian’er’s madness, speaking slowly.
Upon hearing this, Lin Xian’er froze for a mont, initially in disbelief. When she realized Ye Shenglan wasn’t joking, she went mad, her expression turning venomously hateful, her gaze towards Ye Shenglan and Si Lin full of resentnt.
"It’s all your fault, all your fault. What’s so great about that Gu Qingqing? I’m so much better than her. Why can she be the Saint Master’s disciple, but I can’t? And all of you," she pointed at Si Lin, "all of you spoil Gu Qingqing so much. Why? Don’t tell you’ve all fallen for her? Ha-ha, five senior brothers in love with one junior sister? Ha-ha, it’s hilarious!"
"Silence!"
Both Si Lin and Ye Shenglan shouted angrily at the sa ti. Si Lin even reached out, clutching Lin Xianer’s throat from a distance, his face showing rare anger.
"You can’t compare to Geng Geng at all. Don’t use your vile mind to think about Geng Geng. If you say even half a word more about her, I’ll make your death very unpleasant!" Si Lin’s anger lasted only a mont, quickly returning to calm, though his eyes were cold as a millennia-old glacier. His tone was calm, but the threat within made one shiver.
Lin Xian’er, with her throat gripped, turned red, her lungs feeling pained, and Si Lin’s current gaze frightened her, rendering her foolish instead of crazed.
Si Lin threw her to the ground, watching her clutching her throat and coughing fiercely. "Don’t pretend to be crazy. I’m taking you for punishnt now. You’d better not speak ill of Geng Geng again, or else..."
He didn’t finish his sentence, but the aning was crystal clear: after Lin Xian’er completed her punishnt and was expelled, even if Si Lin killed her, it wouldn’t be considered as harming a fellow disciple!
Lin Xian’er evidently understood this as well, her body trembled slightly, and she bowed her head, not daring to look at Si Lin.
