The next afternoon, a private jet flew directly to tropia.

Theo Chambers personally drove to the airport to pick them up. Standing beside a luxury van, he respectfully opened the car door for the two of them. He glanced at Celia Sterling, who looked cold and weary, then at his own impassive boss. He seed to want to say sothing but held his tongue.

When the luxury van reached Sterling Villa, Celia Sterling got out, casually swinging the door shut behind her. She walked into the villa without a backward glance and disappeared from sight...

Theo Chambers waited until Silas Norwood pulled his gaze away from the villa before starting the car again, heading for Jade Orchid Manor.

On the way, Theo Chambers opened his mouth to speak several tis, only to silently swallow his words.

Silas Norwood glanced at him coolly. "If you have sothing to say, spit it out."

Theo Chambers spoke hesitantly, "I did say you shouldn’t be so clingy. Miss Sterling looked angry. You shouldn’t have gone this ti."

’A man of Silas Norwood’s caliber has countless won fighting over him. If he just played a little hard to get and kept so distance, Miss Sterling might appreciate him even more!’

’But he keeps showing up on her doorstep. Even if he has the face of a god, seeing it every day is bound to get old.’

Silas Norwood looked at Theo Chambers’s pitying expression, his voice chilling. "You’re speaking out of turn more and more."

Theo Chambers imdiately shut his mouth and raised the privacy partition.

Silas Norwood lowered his eyes, slowly plucking a few long, soft strands of hair from his collar. He toyed with them, wrapping them around his finger.

Last night, he had slept on the sofa.

And he’d had Celia Sterling sleep there with him.

The sofa was less than a ter wide, barely enough for him to lie flat by himself. Celia Sterling was held in his arms, lying on top of him. His firm abs felt incredible to the touch, but sleeping on them for a whole night was enough to make a delicate girl’s bones ache.

Add to that their fooling around before bed, and it was no wonder Celia Sterling was in a bad mood.

’He had no idea what was going through Theo Chambers’s head, but his subordinate was increasingly crossing the line.’

"Make an appointnt for at the Civil Affairs Bureau tomorrow morning," Silas Norwood ordered casually. "And clear my schedule for the week after. I’m taking my wife on vacation."

Theo Chambers thought about the chairman’s schedule, which he’d had to postpone ti and again. He had just cleared three days, and now he had to clear an entire week. The sheer number of phone calls to reschedule everything would be a monuntal task.

He sighed inwardly, but he didn’t dare show how much of a headache this was. He simply lowered his eyes and respectfully agreed.

「Night fell.」

When Kian Sterling ca ho from work, Celia Sterling was in his study, waiting for him, curled up lazily on the sofa.

"You’ve been busy in Rhovan for days, why aren’t you resting at this hour?" Kian Sterling placed a glass of warm milk in front of her and casually sat down beside her. Tapping the rim of the glass with his long fingers, he motioned for her to drink it while it was warm.

Celia Sterling picked up the milk and took a sip. "I can’t sleep. I wanted to talk with you, Brother."

Kian Sterling humd softly. "Sothing on your mind?"

"Not really a big deal." Celia Sterling tilted her head thoughtfully. "Silas Norwood wants to register our marriage tomorrow. Now that it’s here, I’m suddenly starting to panic a little."

"What’s there to panic about? After all the things I’ve shown you over the years, you’re going to get cold feet over a simple marriage registration?" Kian Sterling scoffed, his tone as overbearing as always. "Don’t think you’re the weaker party in this marriage just because you’re the woman. How many suitors do you have? And how many does Silas Norwood have? In everyone else’s eyes, you’re the one getting the better deal."

Celia Sterling: "..."

Kian Sterling continued, "Silas Norwood is in his pri. Take him while you can, and don’t feel any burden. It’d be best if things go smoothly, but if you’re even the slightest bit unhappy, you tell your brother."

"If I’m unhappy, will you go up against Silas Norwood for , Brother?"

"Of course." Kian Sterling’s eyes turned icy as he enunciated each word. "At any cost."

Celia Sterling took a deep breath. "Alright. I’ll be at the Civil Affairs Bureau on ti tomorrow."

She borrowed Kian Sterling’s earlier words: "To get the better end of the deal."

Kian Sterling humd softly and reached out to ruffle her hair. "Your brother’s got your back, no matter what. Cece, all you have to do is keep moving forward."

He paused. "Co here. Let hug you one more ti."

Celia Sterling obediently moved closer, nestling into his embrace.

Kian Sterling gave her a gentle, doting hug, but it was brief. He then elegantly pushed her away. "Alright, go to sleep."

"Brother," Celia Sterling said, too restless to sleep. "After I get married, will you feel lonely?"

"Why would I be lonely? You know all about those old geezers at The Sterlings. They do nothing but cause trouble day in and day out. Just cleaning up their sses is more than enough to keep busy." Kian Sterling let out a cold, noncommittal scoff. As soon as he ntioned the company, his expression turned severe.

But Celia Sterling had a different idea. "Battling wits with that group is a long war. You can’t let it get in the way of your life, Brother. Why don’t you consider finding a wife for yourself soon? There are plenty of kind and gentle won in our circle. Or if you like another type, I’m pretty sure I can find one for you."

Kian Sterling glanced at her, raising an eyebrow impatiently. "Now you’re ddling in my private affairs?"

"Fine, even if you don’t want to get married for now..." Celia Sterling said softly, "you could at least give a little nephew to play with. It’s trendy now for the sons of rich families to go to special agencies and select from a gene pool..."

Seeing Kian Sterling staring at her with an odd expression, Celia Sterling’s voice grew quieter. "Kids are actually pretty fun, you know."

"What’s so fun about them?" Kian Sterling’s tone was flat. "After all these years of raising you, the very idea of ’children’ has lost all its charm for ."

He clearly didn’t want to discuss it further. Raising his wrist, he glanced at his watch. "Are you going to sleep or not? Do you want to have dark circles under your eyes for your certificate photo?"

Celia Sterling promptly got to her feet and stopped pestering Kian Sterling about his personal life. She scampered off to her bedroom. Kian Sterling waited until she had disappeared down the hallway before rising to close the study door.

He casually pulled another cigarette from a drawer and lit it. The beauty mark by the corner of his eye flickered in the cigarette’s crimson glow, making his handso features seem all the more bewitching and cold.

「The Civil Affairs Bureau.」

In the VIP room, the director personally brought a cup of tea to Theo Chambers and began with a huge smile,

"A man of Chairman Norwood’s stature really doesn’t need to make a trip here himself. Mr. Chambers, just give an address, and I can provide an in-ho service with my laptop and the official seal."

"The boss appreciates a sense of ceremony," Theo Chambers reminded him tactfully. "Don’t skip a single step. Follow the procedure to the letter."

"Of course, of course! What ti would be convenient? I will personally handle the paperwork for Chairman Norwood and his wife."

"Nine-thirty," Theo Chambers said, rising. "They’re already on their way. Please arrange for security to maintain order. You’ve surely heard about my boss—he causes a commotion wherever he goes."

"No problem at all," the director readily agreed.

Silas Norwood first went to Sterling Villa to pick up Celia Sterling, and then they drove to the Civil Affairs Bureau together.

The Guster pulled into the parking lot of the Civil Affairs Bureau, but in the back seat, neither of them was in a hurry to get out.

"I didn’t sleep well last night. I even had a heart-to-heart with my brother," Celia Sterling said softly. "This is my first ti getting married. I’m a little nervous."

Silas Norwood said slowly, "I didn’t sleep well either."

"Are you nervous, too?"

"No." Silas Norwood took her hand, toying with her soft fingers as he replied thoughtfully, "In the course of a single night, I’ve already imagined our entire life together."
