Chapter 770

The wilderness where Anton was flying over was a humongous, desolate place. One could live a life of solitude and loneliness in this place, but at least it would be devoid of any noise and would probably be a calming, solitary life. He knew that the only people who could tolerate living in such a place were those who had grown tired of the company of their fellow n. Based on what he had read, he knew there were folks like that, so Anton would not be surprised if he found so, but so far, there were none.

After flying all day, Anton decided to stop because the sun was already setting. He was a little surprised that even after a whole day of flying, he was still inside the wilderness, which was a testant to how huge it was.

Anton decided to do what he did before, which was dig underground using his Telekinesis, and once he was deep enough, he made sure that the space was wide enough for a portal. Once he was sure that the entrance to the makeshift cave that he had just made was not noticeable from outside, he used a town portal scroll and imdiately returned to the Rose Manor.

Once he was back, he took a hot bath to relax his muscles, and when he was presentable, cast a Blizzard spell that he converted into Mana Rain towards the whole manor. It was the spell that signaled to the manor that Anton was back. It was also a way to inform that group of wizards that was ford to “Protect” him, aning to make sure that he did not leave Ormunda, that he was obediently staying inside the family manor.

After a few seconds, Raymond knocked on his door to ask if Anton wanted dinner. Since it was late, the dinner in the dining room was already finish so he opted to eat in his bedroom. While he was eating, Raymond inford him of everything that had happened in the manor, which was that everything was business as usual.

Anton then told Raymond that there would be instances when he would be away from the manor for a few days at a ti, trying to entertain himself in the city. The butler nodded his understanding.

Once Raymond left, Anton spent the next several hours leveling up his Diablo II ladder character, which was the Paladin. He wanted to make sure that he would reach the maximum level for all eight classes before the ladder season ended.

Before exiting the Diablo II interface, Anton would view his Diablo Immortal character. He felt guilty for neglecting it, but he couldn’t help it. The Diablo II ladder season was important. Once the season ended, he would focus on his Diablo Immortal character.

The next day, Anton returned to Rendindura using his portal and dispelled it imdiately. He started flying toward the south again.

Thankfully, by noon, he saw a massive kingdom in the distance. When he saw a road, he flew down and started walking.

The walls of the desert kingdom were enormous. Anton hoped that it wasn’t a kingdom conquered by the undead. He carefully observed the people entering the kingdom and the guards manning the huge gate and the walls. They all looked like normal live people, so there was a chance that the coalition had not reached this place yet.

Anton paid a few silver coins to the guards manning the gate. He did not even have to provide any sort of identification.

Once he was inside, Anton saw that even though this desert kingdom was huge, people were not living well. Most of the structures that he saw were a little dilapidated, and the people themselves looked downtrodden. At least in this part of the kingdom.

The people were wearing clothing that one would see in desert places, like robes and turbans. After walking for a few minutes, Anton was sure that he was in the slums.

Because of how he was dressed, Anton was accosted by a group of n who looked like beggars, trying to mug him. He simply pushed them out of the way using his Telekinesis, then they all imdiately ran off. Once the people learned that he was a wizard, the people in the slums avoided him.

He just kept on walking, and soon, he was out of the slums.

“Hey! Young wizardling. Do you need a guide?” A young man called out to him.

The man looked to be around Anton’s age, which was around seventeen to nineteen.

“Yes, I need a guide. My na’s Anton. What’s yours?”

“My na is Jas. I charge a gold coin for a day.”

Anton threw a gold coin at the boy, who imdiately bit it and grinned.

“Can you bring

to an information broker? I’m willing to pay a high price for the best one.”

The boy who called himself Jas nodded and started walking. Anton followed him. They walked for about an hour, and then they finally reached a tavern.

The tavern was full of people, but thankfully, they looked normal and did not look like people who were living in a post-apocalyptic ti. The people drinking look like rchants, bodyguards, and adventurers. He still had not seen any undead, which comforted Anton a little. His guide led him to the tavern’s second floor, and then to the last door in a dim hallway. Jas knocked using so sort of pattern, then opened the door after they heard a very deep voice telling them to co in.

“Jas, why did you bring a powerful Supre Wizard in my presence? And a very young one at that, which is extrely rare,” the man seated behind a table said.

The man was wearing a cloak with a hood. He looked like he was cosplaying as a ranger. Anton almost smiled when he realized that the man looked like Aragorn when Aragorn was cosplaying as a ranger.

There were two other people inside the information broker’s office. Once there was an extrely voluptuous woman, and the other was a very huge man. The three of them looked like rogues.

Still, Anton was extrely surprised that the Aragorn cosplayer imdiately detected that he was a Supre Rank wizard. He thought that the man probably had an artifact that could detect the level of a wizard at a distance.

Anton did smile when he saw his guide’s face. Jas' face had a look of extre surprise followed by terror. He did not know if Jas was terrified of him or the information broker.

“I’m sorry, Oswald, I didn’t know. I know that he’s a mage, but I didn’t know that he is a Supre Rank mage! Is he a lich?” Jas asked.

“Thankfully, he’s not, or else we might not have survived this eting,” Oswald said, then he laughed. The voluptuous woman and the muscular man laughed as well.

Anton saw that the three rogue-looking people were not really afraid, even though he was a Supre Rank wizard. More than likely, the three of them could confront soone of his rank.

Oswald invited Anton to sit on one of the chairs facing the table, while Jas imdiately ran off.

“How can we help you, sir…?” Oswald asked.

“My na is Anton, and you are correct. I’m a Supre Rank wizard. I ca from the Gale Continent through a transport gate. I’m originally from Rendindura. I’m from the kingdom of ndi. My family and I managed to escape before ndi fell from the coalition’s attack then we traveled by ship to the Gale Continent. I’ve been living in Ormunda for two years. When the Transport gate was opened, I sneaked in. I wanted to learn the status of this place,” Anton told Oswald.
