Chapter 703
Anton watched the farr, his son, and the other four young n who Carios called to assist them in unloading the supplies that the farr had purchased from Ormunda. Based on the snippets that he was overhearing, the four young n were Darios’ cousins, which ant that there were several families staying in the farm.
He also concluded, based on the talkative young people, that the area was safe, which was a given since it was still near the kingdom of Ormunda, and the patrols were regular. There were occasional monsters that stumbled into the farr’s area, but they were low-level ones that could easily be killed even by regular folks.
That ant that even the mundane folks were well-trained and capable of battle. Anton thought that it was a given since this world was not safe.
After Carios and his relatives were done unloading the supplies, they went inside the huge farmhouse, inviting Anton to follow along.
Upon entering Carios’s house, Anton was surprised at how prosperous the farr's family was. All of their things were good enough for even the rich rchants of Ormunda. Compared to Anton’s family’s farmhouse back in Rendindura, one could say that Anders’s house was a hovel.
One thing Anton could say was that Anders was successful in filling their dilapidated house with warmth and love, and Anton would have been content to stay there until he grew up. After his harrowing experiences on Earth, he would have been content to live a slow life in Anders’s house back in Rendindura.
Carios invited Anton to sit with his family in the large living room, who were waiting for their wonfolk to finish cooking dinner. There were a lot of them in the living room, and it was noisy. So were chatting with each other in loud voices, while others played instrunts and sang. All the children were running around and playing. Carios briefly introduced Anton to his family, and once they nodded, they returned to whatever they were doing.
Seven young n and won surrounded Anton, though. Everyone was excited to learn about Anton’s life in Ormunda as a novice mage. He did not share much and just told everyone that his life was boring. What he did was boast that he managed to acquire a copy of a movie from the Rose Manor’s cinema.
Most of the young people actually did not know what he was talking about, but most of the adults whipped their heads around when they overheard what Anton had said.
“You stole from the cinema?” Carios gasped.
“No. My master was friends with the owner and tasked
to bring this copy to his friend in the kingdom of Enundia,” Anton said.
So of the young people asked what they were talking about, and Carios described to them what a movie from the cinema established by the Rose Manor was. When they were in Ormunda, they planned to watch a movie, but held off in doing so when they learned the price of tickets. Everyone gasped when Darios shared how much the tickets were.
“Yeah, only rich folks can afford them,” Darios said forlornly.
“Well, we can watch one of them here after dinner. My master did not say that I’m not allowed to share the movie with fellow travelers. The movie is created for children, though,” Anton said.
Since there was a humongous number of children, he planned for the farrs to watch one of Disney’s animated films. He decided on Beauty and the Beast.
Soon, Carios’s wife arrived to inform everyone that dinner was ready, so everyone rushed to the dining room. Anton was not surprised when he saw how huge farr Carios' dining room was. Apparently, the farmhouse was built with the combined wealth of all the mbers of their clan, and due to how profitable their farm was, their clan was sowhat wealthy.
Dinner that night was simple, but there were plenty of them; Anton was satisfied. He suddenly noticed that everyone had finished before him and was actually waiting for him.
In the living room, he instructed Darios and his cousin on what was needed so they could watch the movie, and soon, the living room was converted into a makeshift cinema. When everyone and everything were ready, Anton started playing Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
As expected, every mber of Darios’s clan was fascinated by the film. From the young children to the oldest grandpa. Anton had to admit that the singing voices of the characters were truly sothing to listen to.
Once the movie ended, everyone shouted their appreciation. After that, everyone started going into their rooms to rest since life on the farm usually starts very early.
The next day after breakfast, Anton prepared to leave. Surprisingly, Darios and his cousin, Ento, offered to bring Anton to the next village, which was three hours away from the farm. At first, Anton tried to decline since he thought Darios and his cousin were needed on the farm. Apparently, bringing Anton to that village was sothing all the young people wanted to do because it was an adventure outside of what they considered their boring farm life. Darios and Ento even started looking at Anton with puppy eyes, silently begging him to accept, so he did.
Darios did not stop his son since they wanted to thank Anton for allowing them to watch a movie last night.
Darios brought a much smaller cart, and it was going to be pulled by a couple of donkeys. Darios and his cousin were also ard with swords and bows since sotis battles did occur on the road. It was not too dangerous, though, since the enemies were mostly low-level monsters like goblins and wolves.
The journey that morning was pleasant. It was not full winter yet, so the weather was still mild. That was also the reason why Darios and his cousin wanted this tiny adventure. It was their last chance of going out before full winter arrived.
After a couple of hours, they encountered wolves on the road. Darios and Ento easily killed them using their bows and arrows. Anton did not even have to help them. They loaded the wolves in the cart to be sold off in the village where they were going, since everyone was already starting to hoard at for winter. After that, they had not encountered danger on the road.
They arrived at the village at noon. Darios said their goodbyes, sold off the captured wolves, and left imdiately for ho. They wanted to reach their farm before the sun set.
Since it was only noon, Anton did not plan to stay in the village and continued his journey north. The villagers just looked at him and ignored him once they noticed that he did not have any intention to stay.
His walking pace was still not very fast. He was planning to enjoy the process of traveling on foot and looking around. Anton felt that he was successful in doing so. He enjoyed the forest scenery since everything was still covered by autumn colors.
When the sun had set, Anton went inside a copse of trees, retrieved his tiny house from his inventory, summoned a couple of Spirit Wolves as guards, and entered his tiny ho. He imdiately activated a Fire Wall stove, so the inside of his house beca extrely comfortable.
Once he was settled comfortably, Anton started leveling up his Wizard character from his Diablo Immortal ga, but only did it for an hour, then he switched to leveling his Diablo II ladder character.
