Chapter 75: Chapter 75: An Exciting Night

This was sothing Li Changqing overheard when two senior sisters were chatting at Wanzai Peak.

"Hmm? Pain?"

Lord Zhou gave Li Hengsheng a surprised look: "It can be painful, but not necessarily. It depends on the situation; sotis it is, sotis it isn’t."

"And we don’t need to go out; we can just stay in our Dao Mountain Ancient Land," said Lord Zhou. "What are those things outside compared to our Dao Mountain Ancient Land?"

"We have this too?"

Li Hengsheng was greatly surprised.

He had been in Dao Mountain Ancient Land for years and didn’t know.

Unexpectedly, the entertainnt activities in Dao Mountain Ancient Land are quite... exciting.

Gradually, Lord Zhou led Li Hengsheng to a mountain peak. This peak was sowhat quiet, and in the distance, a large manor could be vaguely seen.

"Is that it?" At this mont, Li Hengsheng felt his heart pounding with nerves.

"Yes." Lord Zhou jumped off from Purple Lightning and then said, "Let’s walk over."

"Oh." Li Hengsheng obediently dismounted. Although he didn’t quite understand, he trusted Lord Zhou, especially since his third senior brother seed experienced.

Following behind Lord Zhou toward the manor, the more Li Hengsheng walked, the more he felt sothing was off.

Why is it not lively at all here?

In his impression, such places were supposed to be bustling with bright lights, with dazzling young ladies everywhere. Why is it so quiet here?

While pondering, the two had already arrived outside the manor. Lord Zhou checked the surroundings and then climbed over the wall to enter.

Li Hengsheng imitated him.

They flipped into the manor.

Suddenly, there was a waft of herbal fragrance.

Li Hengsheng looked closer and discovered that it was a vast herb garden, even larger than the one on Cyan Rain Mountain, with a variety of herbs planted within.

"Senior brother, where is this place?"

Li Hengsheng was a bit dumbfounded.

"Hundred Spirits Peak." Lord Zhou didn’t look back but squatted in the bushes as if observing sothing.

"Hundred Spirits Peak?" Li Hengsheng blinked; the na was sowhat familiar.

Isn’t this supposedly the peak where the second senior sister lives?

"Senior brother, you said you were bringing

here to find chickens?" Li Hengsheng looked puzzled.

"Yeah, isn’t this bringing you to find Spirit Chickens? Today is a full moon, the peak ti for moon essence, and tonight the Spirit Chickens especially enjoy quietly absorbing the moon essence, so it’s easier to catch them today," Lord Zhou explained to Li Hengsheng. "Plus, the second senior sister hasn’t returned yet, so our chances are high."

Li Hengsheng felt speechless.

After ntally preparing himself the whole journey, this was the result?

"Third senior brother, what did you an when you said it was very painful the first ti?"

"Oh, the first ti I tried to steal a Spirit Chicken, I was caught by the second senior sister and got beaten, of course it was painful," Lord Zhou said calmly. "But as long as we’re not caught and the second senior sister has no evidence, we won’t get beaten. Don’t worry."

"Let’s hurry and catch a couple before the second senior sister gets back."

In the distance, under the moonlight, many Spirit Chickens were erging from the coop.

Their feathers were blue, and their combs were multicolored, looking very beautiful.

Each one was quite robust, about the size of a large dog.

They were leisurely stepping out, then lying down quietly, half-closing their eyes, seeming to enjoy the caress of the moonlight.

"Heh heh, they’re out," Lord Zhou whispered. "We need to be careful; even though the second senior sister isn’t ho, there are still many servants in her manor. If they spot us, it’ll be troubleso."

"Oh," Li Hengsheng responded, noticeably uninterested.

"Action!" Seemingly seeing the right mont, Lord Zhou suddenly whispered, then dashed out like an arrow.

Li Hengsheng quickly followed.

After all, he was already on this risky path.

Catching one to taste might really be delicious after all.

After all, a chicken is a chicken, no matter which mouth eats it.

As they swiftly approached the Spirit Chickens, Lord Zhou reached out and grabbed one by the neck, holding it firm as it attempted to flap its wings and struggle.

But who was Lord Zhou?

At the level of Postnatal Peak, could he let a single Spirit Chicken escape?

Li Hengsheng imitated him and grabbed one too.

Even though the Spirit Chicken was strong, Li Hengsheng’s Divine Body of Sun and Moon wasn’t just for show, and a single Spirit Chicken couldn’t escape.

"Haha, we got one. Let’s hurry back and roast it," Lord Zhou said hurriedly.

The two climbed over the wall to leave, mounted Purple Lightning, and fled.

"Old Fourth, exciting or not?"

Lord Zhou asked excitedly, looking back.

Li Hengsheng: "Oh."

When they returned to San Jun Peaks, Lord Zhou set to work.

Slaughtering chickens.

Plucking feathers.

Then cleaning and starting to roast over the fire.

Soon, the aroma wafted out.

Li Hengsheng caught a whiff and his eyes lit up.

He had eaten roasted chicken before, but this slled really good.

Next to the bonfire, Lord Zhou was sprinkling spices on it. The chicken at turned golden yellow, dripping with oil as it slow-roasted.

More importantly, the aroma of the chicken at was mixed with an herbal scent.

It was very enticing.

"Haha, a big harvest, a big harvest, it’s been a long ti since we’ve had this," Lord Zhou was incredibly excited.

It took over an hour before Lord Zhou felt the chicken was almost done. He reached out, tore off a drumstick, and handed it to Li Hengsheng.

"Old Fourth, have a taste," Lord Zhou said. "Once you try it, you’ll love it."

Li Hengsheng took it, the aroma was overwhelming.

The herbal scent wasn’t overwhelming at all and instead enhanced the aty aroma, subtly blending the flavors.

The at was tender, with the golden chicken skin glistening with oil, making it extrely appetizing.

Li Hengsheng took a bite, and the juicy at oozed from the drumstick, with the fatty aroma imdiately filling his mouth, and the faint herbal fragrance neutralized the greasiness.

Li Hengsheng’s eyes brightened involuntarily!

This chicken was too delicious.

The flavor lingered in his mouth, the tender chicken at without a hint of dryness, and only basic seasonings like salt were used, mostly preserving the original flavor of the at.

Li Hengsheng couldn’t help but eat a few more bites.

"Heh heh, tasty, right?" Lord Zhou winked. "Wasn’t it worth it?"

"Mmm mmm." Li Hengsheng nodded affirmatively.

The two devoured the chickens quickly.

Li Hengsheng felt it was the most satisfying chicken al he’d ever had.

Lord Zhou’s belly was also full, lying on the ground with a blissful expression, saying, "Even if the second senior sister beats

to death, I’d accept it."

"By the way, Old Fourth, what was it you wanted to ask

today?"

Lord Zhou suddenly rembered that Li Hengsheng had ntioned having sothing to inquire about.

If Lord Zhou hadn’t ntioned it, Li Hengsheng would have almost forgotten.

"Master suggested I go out and try the Nine-Layered Battle Pavilion and the Ten Thousand Beasts Collection," Li Hengsheng explained. "But I’ve never been, and I wanted to ask you what I should prepare."

"You? Challenge the Nine-Layered Battle Pavilion?" Lord Zhou said in surprise. "Is Master crazy? You’re a Transcendent Realm Seventh Layer and he wants you to try the Nine-Layered Battle Pavilion?"

"Isn’t Master afraid you’ll get disheartened?" Lord Zhou rubbed his head, "Many people’s cultivation spirit was crushed at the Nine-Layered Battle Pavilion, Master is really daring."
