Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Parting Ways at Last

"Changqing Senior, I want it too." Yin Changli looked eagerly at Li Changqing at this mont.

This ti, not to ntion Yin Changli, even Mu Qingge was looking at Li Changqing with eyes full of anticipation.

They had just witnessed Xu Muhai’s painful state with their own eyes.

If it happened to them, they wouldn’t be able to endure it. Even soone as strong as Xu Muhai wanted to bash his head against a wall to end it, let alone they, a child and a woman.

"Hmm." Li Changqing was also shocked by Xu Muhai’s earlier behavior.

So before Yin Changli and Mu Qingge experienced this feeling, he planned to quickly carve one for the master and apprentice.

The two of them anxiously waited beside Li Changqing as he carved.

They were very worried about what would happen if the Ghost Grudge Curse on them acted up while Li Changqing was carving.

At least suppress it for now, then return to the dical King Valley to find a way to eliminate the Ghost Grudge Curse.

Otherwise, rely relying on this wooden sculpture for suppression is not a long-term solution.

Li Changqing carved very seriously, and fortunately, until he finished carving two Earth Store Bodhisattva statues, neither of them suffered from the Ghost Grudge Curse.

Threading the string through, and hanging the items around their necks, they finally felt relieved.

"Daoist Changqing, I really don’t know how to thank you. You have saved us many tis, and this ti you gave us such a precious protective talisman." Mu Qingge’s eyes were tender and soft, almost about to say sothing like offering herself in gratitude.

But finally, Mu Qingge said, "If there’s anything you need from the dical King Valley in the future, Senior Changqing just send a ssage, and the dical King Valley will definitely help."

"It’s nothing." Li Changqing brushed away the wood chips from his clothes, then stood up and said, "If my son Li Hengsheng encounters any trouble in the future, I hope the dical King Valley can lend a hand. If he faces a strong enemy and is seriously injured or such, I also hope the dical King Valley can do its utmost to save him and keep him alive."

In this fantasy world, how can people possibly have smooth sailing all the ti?

Li Changqing understood this principle. Everyone gets hurt now and then, so it was only natural to build good relations with a reputable dical sect like the dical King Valley.

From reading novels before, protagonists always had halo protection, and when in danger, there was always soone stepping in to save them.

But reality and novels are definitely different. His son doesn’t have any protagonist’s halo, and might just die if caught in danger.

After finally experiencing having a normal son, he really didn’t want to lose him.

So, since there’s no halo, his father would create one for him.

Hearing Li Changsheng talk about his son, Mu Qingge suddenly recalled that Li Changqing had a son and wondered if he had a wife.

If he did have a wife, wouldn’t she end up as a concubine in the future?

Wait a minute, what am I thinking?

"Of course." Mu Qingge smiled and said, "Having a father like this, your son is truly blessed, and it seems your wife can also rest easy."

"I don’t have a wife." Li Changqing shook his head.

"Don’t?" Mu Qingge’s eyes brightened.

"Dare I ask...?" Mu Qingge wanted to know whether Li Changqing had parted with his wife or if she had passed away.

These two outcos naturally represented different anings.

But this question left Li Changqing stunned.

Right, where is his wife?

Since arriving in this world, he hadn’t seen her, and there was no ntion of her in any piece of information. Li Changqing instinctively thought he had no wife and was a bachelor.

But if he had no wife, where did Li Hengsheng co from?

Yet if he did have a wife, where was she?

Had they parted, or did she pass away?

If she had passed away it was fine, but if they had rely parted and t again in the future without recognizing each other, wouldn’t that be awkward?

Very likely, his identity would be exposed.

Seeing Li Changqing lost in thought, Mu Qingge quickly said, "Daoist Changqing, I’m sorry, I asked sothing I shouldn’t have."

"It’s fine." Li Changqing shook his head, the key issue is not knowing where his son’s mother is either.

It seems I’ll have to try and get so information out of Li Hengsheng when I get the chance.

Finally experiencing rebirth, Li Changqing really wanted to protect his current life.

Serenity mixed with excitent, and afar, there’s a hardworking child.

This was sothing he could only dream of in his past life.

"Let’s leave here first." Li Changqing looked around curiously and said, "Strange, where’s Ah Fei."

Ah Fei hadn’t been seen since they erged.

Earlier, Li Changqing and the others had been so focused on the Ghost Grudge Curse that they hadn’t noticed.

"Awoo."

With a cry, the Golden Silk Linlang Beast ran out from a scroll on the ground, its glow already faded. It seed that without soone’s help, it would lose all its spiritual qi and vanish within a few months.

"Ah Fei, carry Xu Muhai, we’re getting ready to leave. Once we return, I’ll help you reshape your body." Li Changqing instructed.

Ah Fei stepped forward, putting the unconscious Xu Muhai on its back, and then, carrying a few people, left the cave in another direction.

This path was dry, with no water.

But once they were out, they had no idea where they were within the Nanshan Mountain Range.

However, this was no big deal for them.

"Immortal Qingge." Li Changqing turned to Mu Qingge and said, "I’m taking Peak Master Xu back first."

"Okay." Mu Qingge didn’t really want to part ways with Li Changqing so soon, but knew she had no reason to stay.

"After returning, if I find a way to break the Ghost Grudge Curse, I’ll co to the Mountain Ancient Land to find Peak Master Xu." Though she said this, Mu Qingge was actually more interested in seeing Li Changqing once she ca this way.

"Alright." Li Changqing seed to rember sothing and said to Mu Qingge, "Regarding the wooden sculpture, if possible, please don’t publicize it, Immortal Qingge."

"Don’t worry, Daoist Changqing." Mu Qingge knew too well that such things could bring trouble if widely known.

She naturally wouldn’t speak of it.

Especially the Xuanyuan Sword in Yin Changli’s hands, if exposed, might incite many to covet it, causing trouble for the dical King Valley.

"Let’s go, Immortal Qingge, until we et again." After speaking, Li Changqing mounted Ah Fei and rose into the sky; from a height, he could naturally ascertain the direction of Changting Town.

Mu Qingge watched Li Changqing’s departing figure from afar, not speaking for a long ti.

"Master, stop looking, he’s already gone far." Yin Changli said smilingly.

"You brat." Mu Qingge frowned and scolded.

Within a subterranean cave.

There was a massive altar here, blood flowing upon it had not yet dried.

Before the altar stood a person clad in a black robe. Though the person’s stature was small and their face unseen, they exuded an eerie presence.

In front of them, several figures knelt on one knee.

As if awaiting orders.

"Although the master’s plan failed, the Ghost Grudge Curse has been planted, and our Longevity Sect should start moving." The black-robed figure said calmly, "Find those afflicted with the Ghost Grudge Curse and assert our Longevity Sect’s stance."

"If they resist, let them experience a fate worse than death." The black-robed figure sneered coldly.
