Rezen doesn’t have the slightest bit of doubt that his and his subordinates’ collective strength would not be enough
Even a single spell from a 4th fusion rank mage can slaughter tens of mages at the 3rd rank
As such, Rezen did not hesitate to block the spell using cherry bombs

Several consecutive explosions occurred and tal shrapnels were sent flying everywhere while the Tattoo Warriors blocked the shards from hitting their master
Every cherry bomb has the lethality of an average spell at the 4th rank. However, the range of explosion and the versatility of it was lacking
The cherry bombs only have a five ters range and that is not enough to destroy all the sharp tentacles made from tal
Not to ntion, Rezen doesn’t have complete control over it as the cherry bombs were not his magic spells
“Ha… haaa…” Rezen breathed heavily. He felt powerless against his enemy
He can barely defend with the cherry bombs!
“I won’t let you hurt my master!” One said angrily. His tattoos resonated with the natural laws to the fullest extent as he leaped in the air
Since Tattoo Warriors have physiques way better compared to normal humans, One almost reached Lord Keito and he threw a punch in the air
His eyes glowed with an icy blue light as an icy path was generated. His punch threw out a straight trail of ice that targeted Lord Keito
Not all Tattoo Warriors can send out a long-range attack. Only those with enough talent can do that and seems like One has enough talent to do so!
Without a footing in the air, One starts to fall down but he made sure to send more icy trails
Unfortunately, despite him doing his best, Lord Keito rely controlled the sheet of tal below him to dodge
He was quite skillful as none of the icy trails managed to land on him
“One, get back!” Rezen shouted. The enemy is a 4th fusion rank mage! A single mistake can result in death
If Lord Keito were to target One alone then even with the cherry bombs, One might still die
Moreover, Rezen doesn’t have an infinite amount of cherry bombs. He has more than a hundred of them that he stocked but even this hundred bombs might not be enough to secure their lives
“But Master…”
“Listen to !”
Without a choice, One can only return to his previous position with a low spirit
“Interesting… your Tattoo Warriors are quite good” Lord Keito comnted before clicking his fingers together
Suddenly, a magic circle ford on the ground where Rezen and the others were standing on
The magic circle was tallic in color and the mana it sucked on the surrounding was way higher than any magic circle that Rezen had ever made
“Dodge!” Rezen ordered in surprise as he tried to run outside of the magic circle’s range but he was not fast enough
“[rcury Swamp!]”
The solid ground suddenly turned into liquid rcury that was tightly clinging to their legs
The Tattoo Warriors tried to move their legs to help and free their master but despite their great physical stats, they can’t even lift their foots
If that was the case for them, what more for Rezen that clearly has a weaker physique?
The swamp was holding them in their place, unable to free themselves
“Your strange items packed decent power but items are still items, they are inflexible. How can they compare to the spells of mages?” Lord Keito comnted before clicking his fingers yet again and a small magic circle ford
He used that magic circle to control the liquid rcury that bubbled and move with his will
“Ahh, shit this is disgus— dangerous!” Rezen muttered while trying to remove the tentacles of rcury climbing on his body to pull him down
This feels like so sort of tentacle play hentai and Rezen is absolutely not a fan of that!
“Master!” His subordinates called him, they don’t care about their lives but they felt really bitter for not being able to do anything for their master
“I won’t back down like this!” Rezen thought furiously while raising his head
With a wave of Rezen’s hand, cherry bombs flew out, targeting Lord Keito
Unfortunately, the 4th fusion rank mage simply controlled the sheet of tal he was standing on again to change his location to dodge
Rezen’s eyes glowed montarily, his space-type mystic gem appeared in front of him as he casts a spell
“[Heaven’s Gate!]”
The spatial spell appeared on the trajectory of the flying cherry bombs and they entered it
Behind Lord Keito, another spatial portal appeared and the cherry bombs ca out from it
Rezen was watching in anticipation when he saw Lord Keito sneering at him
“[Lightning Flash]” the mage muttered. An electric blue magic circle appeared on his chest and his whole body was instantly coated with swimming snakes of lightning
He jumped gracefully and in a blink of an eye, he was already tens of ters away from his original position
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The cherry bombs exploded yet their target wasn’t hard in the slightest. They didn’t even reach the hem of his robe
Another magic circle was created by Lord Keito and a new sheet of tal appeared below him and he landed on it
Despite Rezen using a sneak attack using spatial magic and cherry bombs, he failed to hurt his enemy
Rezen’s cherry bombs were great but they are not perfect
Since his enemy already knew about them beforehand, Lord Keito already unconsciously prepared himself to deal with them
Maybe, if Rezen hasn’t used the cherry bombs prematurely, the result would be different
Too bad that if he didn’t use the cherry bombs earlier, he and his subordinates wouldn’t be able to block the previous attacks
“Damn it!” Rezen cursed loudly, the liquid rcury sucking him in deeper
It would only take a few seconds for him to drown in the rcury when in the darkness of the night, a bright pure white light suddenly appeared
As of right now, even Rezen’s mouth and nose were subrged in the rcury. Only his eyes, forehead, and hair weren’t swallowed by the swamp yet
As such, he managed to see a white light flying in the sky behind Keito that he wanted to die right this mont
If Rezen noticed that white light, what more for Lord Keito that was definitely way stronger than him?
Lord Keito controlled his tal sheet in a hurry. Fortunately, it seems like that white light isn’t focused on him
Instead of pursuing Keito, the white light starts to descend at a rapid pace
“Oy, oy, oy, I’m already dying, why target ?!” Rezen complained in his mind after seeing that light flying toward him
However, when that ‘light’ was close enough to him, he saw who and what it was
That light is also a Tattoo Warrior, an Artificial Human, and is the first-ever subordinate that Rezen has gained!
It was none other than Zero himself!
Zero landed directly on the rcury swamp, his feet stomping hard and a wave of light energy was emitted by him
Those light energies canceled out Lord Keito’s spell and the rcury swamp vanishes, saving Rezen and the five artificial humans with him
“Z-Zero? You actually broke through?” Rezen said in surprise
He just gave Zero permission to train in the Ratois Mountain earlier this day but he already shattered the barrier between the 3rd and 4th rank, this was too fast!
This Zero is really a cheat! After engraving Mystic Tattoos, he reached the 3rd rank instantly. And only after a short period of ti, he is already at the 4th rank
This speed of advancent is really insane!
“A Tattoo Warrior at the 4th Rank, tsk” Lord Keito clicked his tongue in annoyance

“Woah… does Tattoo Warrior at the 4th rank already has the ability to fly?” Rezen muttered
Mages at the 4th and 5th rank can use magic to achieve flight, mostly done by riding on a sheet of their elent
To Rain, she can ride a sheet of ice and to Lord Keito, he can ride a sheet of tal. But a real flight is only possible for mages at the 6th rank and above
Rezen didn’t expect that Zero can already fly despite just reaching the 4th rank. It seems like although the path of Tattoo Warriors is dangerous and has side effects, the resulting power is also great
