Rezen’s fighting skills were trash but almost everyone started at that level and the more experience he gained, the better his fighting skills would be
He contemplated for a mont whether he should have Zero kill the remaining two bears but he decided to take care of them personally
He had already consud a recovery pill, he is back at his peak condition and since there is one less bear, his chances of winning rose
Rezen stood up from the ground, his arms stretched in front of him
“[Water Stream!]”
He casts two stream spells at the sa ti and two streams of water energies were generated
They targeted the remaining bears that uses their claws to block
They literally endure the stream spells using their bare bodies
Rezen gritted his teeth, his mystic gem hovering in front of him, doing its best to resonate with the natural laws as much as possible
“Ha!”
In the end, the bears completely blocked the stream spells but at the cost of cracks in their durable claws
Stream spells although simple is not to be underestimated!
Rezen ran as he saw one of the bears charging at him again. He displayed the physical stats boost provided by the [Water God’s Armor] as he jumped high to reach a tree’s branch that is thick enough to hold his weight
The bear simply smashed the tree with its claw and Rezen clumsily jumped into another tree and that is when he sensed danger
The other bear opened its mouth once again as it shot a ray of earthen energies toward him
Rezen jumped down from the tree as he placed his hand in the direction of that bear
“[Water Spears!]”
A magic circle appeared in front of Rezen’s palm and from it, three spears of water flew out
Woosh!
The spears cut through the air as Rezen landed on the ground but his inexperienced side showed itself again
He was not able to perfectly balance himself as he staggered and the bear chasing him used that chance
The bear once again slamd its claws into the ground, creating a magic circle and a line of earthen spikes grew from the ground
Rezen tried to run but the ground continue to rose until he was hit in his stomach
A hole appeared in his armor as the earthen spike penetrated his defense and pierces his flesh
Without a choice, Rezen consud another pill as he retreated but the earthen spikes continue to rose from the ground
The bear was channeling its mana into the magic circle to continue harassing Rezen. Magic beasts really are sothing!
Rezen had a spark of idea as he desperately dodged the attacks of his enemies
One is the earthen spikes below him and the other was the fist-size rocks flying in the air
His sun-type mystic gem that was overshadowed by his water-type mystic gem flew out of his elixir field
“[Sun Blast!]”
Rezen created two orbs of sunlight, one for each bear
As a 1st fusion grade spell, these orbs wouldn’t be able to kill the bears but that wasn’t what they are used for
Rezen targeted the eyes of the bears and even if he cannot hit them directly, he still controlled the orbs to explode
Bright sunlight filled the area, montarily blinding the bears and Rezen used [Water Spears] to kill them
As soon as the bear’s lifeless body fell, Rezen’s knees gave out
“Damn… that’s what a battle is!” Rezen said while panting for breath
His fight with these bears was really exhilarating. It was very thrilling despite the fact he was constantly cursing the bears because of their strength
“Master” Zero stood next to Rezen that wiped the sweat from his forehead
“I’m fine, let’s go. That battle took a long ti. We have to kill at least a hundred magic beasts before the sun sets” Rezen said
For now, that experience would be enough for the day. Rezen can just co here again tomorrow to harvest more corpses
If Rezen also upgraded the comprehension of his sun and earth elent then fighting those bears would have been way easier

The two continue and this ti, they didn’t head deeper. In fact, they even retreated to the periphery where the magic beasts are weaker
The goal is to take ho as many corpses as possible
An ungraded magic beast is equal to 1 blessing point or 1 lottery ticket
A 1st fusion magic beast is equal to 3 blessing points or 3 lottery tickets
A 2nd fusion magic beast is 7 points/tickets
And 3rd fusion magic beasts is for 13 points/tickets
The most profitable for now that they can defeat are 3rd fusion grade magic beasts. However, with the fact that Rezen has a Tattoo Warrior subordinate, hunting lower-level magic beasts would be more efficient
If Zero fought a magic beast at his level, it would take him more ti and energy. As for low-level ones, he can easily slaughter them with a punch
In fact, Tattoo Warriors’ rate of mana usage is lower than mages and they can fight for a long ti. A perfect counter for cannon fodders
If not for the fact that it was hard for them to use long-range attacks and also the terrible side effects that could possibly kill them, Tattoo Warriors would definitely be a famous path even today
It was to the point that Rezen already forgot how many tis his jaw dropped while watching Zero
An example is what is happening right now. They seem to have ‘bad luck’ as they suddenly encountered a group of grey wolves numbering almost a hundred
However, these grey wolves seem to be the waste of the pacts. They are either old or injured but as they say, there is power in numbers
Even Rezen cannot defeat this many enemies at once since mages at his level have limited AoE spells. Considering that AoE spells required a lot of mana just like Claude’s [Shadow Beast Field], low-level mages really are restricted in their choice of spells
Fortunately for Rezen, he has his subordinate and he watches Zero slaughter these magic beasts
Zero’s whole body was covered with intertwining lines of tattoos, holding the mysteries of the light elent in them
His body was quick and nimble. Even the attacking power was not low at all
Zero’s body seems to have flashed as he jumped and reach the wolves
His fists were covered with a pure white light
He threw a punch at a grey wolf that is blind in one eye. The force of the punch easily cracked the wolf’s skull. The sound that was generated gave Rezen goosebumps
More wolves pounced on Zero but he just jumped again. A single leap of him raised his body ters in the air and when he landed, he used a wolf’s head as his landing site, smashing it in the process
After that, Zero grabbed a wolf that was missing one limb. He tightly held the wolf’s leg to the point that the poor wolf’s bones cracked into pieces
The wolf was turned into a weapon as Zero uses its body to hit the other wolves
A scene of carnage has appeared. This Zero was really fierce. It either smash a wolf’s head with his fist, kick them to death, or tears their bodies apart
It didn’t take much ti before Zero’s body was completely drenched with fresh blood while the wolves soon lay dead on the ground
“I’m lucky he is my subordinate…” Rezen thought as he wiped the sweat on his forehead
Although there were only almost a hundred wolves, the scene looks more brutal than the cleanup with Claude!
At least, the corpses of the wolves back then look way better than the abused wolves here
“Master” Zero bowed his head and the side of Rezen’s face twitched
He thought that there is at least a 50/50 chance of winning against Zero in a fight but it seems like the chances were lower than initially expected
If Zero threw a punch at him then would he even find the ti to consu a recovery pill?
“G-good job” Rezen praised and the artificial human smiled
The two soon ‘cleaned’ the battlefield by storing their corpses and Rezen decided that this is enough for the day
The two returned to their ho as the sun is already about to set soon
Along the way, Rezen saw the person he admired the most
“Brother Claude!” Rezen greeted, his eyes glowing
“You’re here, I was about to head back” Claude said gently and Rezen tried to invite the man inside but Claude refused
“I don’t have much ti, I’m just here to give you this” Claude said as he gave a void storage ring to Rezen
‘What’s with today? This is my second ti receiving a void storage ring’ Rezen asked to himself
“Inside are the seeds I promise to you and also so books about magic, including spells. You are very talented and I hope that when I see you again, you have beco even stronger. Our country is always in need of strong mages”
