Minutes passed, and Rezen’s friend group was forced to eat dog food before Treen took out a box from his spatial ring, containing his gift to Tryst.
The packaging of the box was filled with hearts, and as soon as the Headmaster laid her eyes upon it, her eyes imdiately sparkled.
Rezen and the others even saw an illusion, thinking that the shape of the Headmaster’s pupils actually turned into a heart as well.
It was too painful to watch, but they were forced to endure it.
When the Headmaster opened the box, her eyes were t with a crystal figurine of her own image, which sparked her interest.
At the sides of the crystal carving were the bracelets that Treen had made from the leftover materials of the crystal carving.
It took no genius to see that the Headmaster terribly liked the gift she had received. Whether it be her eyes, face, or body language, all were screaming happiness.
She looks so genuinely happy that the people who are forced to eat dog food suddenly feel like these two were not that unbearable.
After all, they genuinely love and care about each other. They are as genuine as genuine can be.
Such a heart-warming sight could lt even the coldest ice. Treen even grabbed the bracelet containing his na and personally placed it on his lover’s wrist.
The slender and fair wrist of the Headmaster was further complented by the pink bracelet, giving her a charming and youthful allure.
If that wasn’t enough, Treen even clasped their fingers together before kissing the back of Tryst’s palm.
"Hehehe, aren’t I the greatest lover?" He said ’adorably’, so adorably that instead of answering with words, the Headmaster responded with action.
She grabbed Treen from the nape, pulling him closer to her before kissing him on the lips.
"Aww, they are so happy" Theon unconsciously muttered with a smile on his face.
Seeing people loving each other was such a heart-warming soon, but his expression soon fell.
"And now, it’s just disgusting" he grumbled in his head.
A peck on the lips would suffice and be tolerable. In fact, it even looks sweet. However, a full-blown aggressive kissing session that is going into a full-blown make-out session is a completely different matter altogether.
"Holy water is not enough. I need to pluck my eyes" Rezen helplessly and disgustedly thought in his head while averting his gaze.
He even discreetly used so mana to block his hearing since the sounds started to be kind of loud.
"Why did I co here. I should have just said I’m busy."
Porenz deeply regretted joining this small gathering. She could have made a thousand excuses and saved herself from seeing such a scene, but she mistakenly chose to join.
Fortunately, it seems like the Headmaster wanted to admire the crystal carving that her lover had made, and she soon pulled away to stare at it.
She can’t even take her eyes off of it for quite so ti. She just gently caresses the cold crystal with a huge smile on her face. Her smile didn’t just reach her eyes; it reached even her soul.
Elder Priss’s body trembled for a mont before she returned to normal. No one even noticed sothing different or abnormal about her.
With the gift giving done, the celebration continued. As usual, it was Treen, Tryst, and Porenz who were the loudest out of the six. They were the ones who gave the night its liveliness.
"I really hope monts like this could last forever" Rezen thought while looking at the people with him.
He misses the people he t back in his birth realm, but he was also happy to et these people in the Savage Beast Realm.
If only peaceful monts could last forever. Unfortunately, there is no such good thing in the world.
Boom!
Out of nowhere, the sound of explosions and fighting rang throughout the whole City of Hope.
Countless spatial portals appeared, and from them, one magic beast after another poured out.
If that wasn’t enough, even the magic beasts attacking the city walls grew in number and power.
The magic beasts are attacking with full might! They do not have the intention of fighting a long war.
They poured all of their strength into this attack, and whether the realm will be ruled by humans or the magic beasts, it will be known soon.
"Young Master Rezen, the magic beasts are attacking again! We have to evacuate and put you into safety!"
From the shadows, the mages protecting Rezen from the dark erged, and from the looks on their faces, the situation was not doing well.
Due to the years of war experience these people have, Rezen and the others imdiately went on full alert.
They even took out their magic artifacts, whether that be magic wands or weapons like swords.
They are able to respond even without notice. They just can’t help but curse the magic beasts for their bad timing.
They weren’t even able to fully enjoy the night when these magic beasts suddenly started attacking them.
"Elder, please help us protect Young Master Rezen" the guard said politely to Elder Priss.
Due to Rezen’s contribution, humanity was able to hold the magic beasts. Every day, thousands of magic beasts are converted into allies of humanity.
From being on the brink of destruction and annihilation, humanity slowly started to push back and keep a stalemate.
It was only a stalemate, but it was already many tis better than their previous state of slowly being defeated, and this was all thanks to Rezen.
As such, they cannot afford to let Rezen be in danger. He is currently the greatest weapon of humanity aside from the Guardian.
"Prepare yourself. They are here" Elder Priss simply said while looking in a certain direction.
The rest of the people with her also unconsciously looked in the direction she was looking at and they saw a scarlet portal materialize.
It was the sa portal where the magic beasts appeared. With the help of the portal, the magic beasts can bypass the city walls protecting the city and humanity and bring destruction inside the City of Hope.
It was great that the magic beasts cannot fully control where the portal will appear and that they also cannot make enough portals to have all of them enter the city of hope.
If all the magic beasts can attack humanity from inside their walls, humanity would have already been annihilated regardless of whether there is Rezen or not.
From the portal, magic beasts ca out and most of which are at the Senior Rank.
Fortunately, with an Elder with them, as soon as the magic beast ca out of the portal, a pink fog enveloped and killed them.
However, just because Elder Priss was here doesn’t an that there is no danger.
Boom!
Another loud explosion occurred, and the Headmaster waved her hand to create a barrier.
The beasts attacked the Magic Tower, and from the fact that the tower was imdiately destroyed, the attackers should be Senior Mages, and there is more than one of them.
Just as they expected, when the broken pieces of the tower all fell down, and the smoke subsided, they saw a group of magic beasts.
These magic beasts are mostly humanoid, and their size is not that big. Their size was just enough for them to avoid detection if they wished to sneakily roam inside the City of Hope without humanity noticing them.
"He’s here. That’s the wretched human that could corrupt us!" A bee-like magic beast pointed at Rezen, and all the magic beast’s attention was focused on him.
While not all magic beasts have the sa level of intelligence as human does, it doesn’t an that none are as intelligent as humans.
As such, it was no surprise that after years of war, they learned about the existence of a human mage who had a special Innate Magic.
With such a weapon in humanity’s hands, the magic beasts wouldn’t be able to keep their calm.
They poured a lot of effort and sacrificed a huge number of them just to gather enough intelligence. They are to kill Rezen today!
"Protect the Young Master!" The guards shouted, and they surrounded Rezen, intending to protect him.
"These damned magic beasts" Rezen cursed while looking at the magic beasts emitting killing intent directed straight at him.
While becoming a great weapon of humanity helped him a lot as he earned respect and resources, it also ca with a risk.
If he can benefit one side, it would naturally harm the other side. As an enemy, he is a special target of elimination, and Rezen readied himself for a battle.
From the aura those magic beasts are emitting, all of them are at the peak of the Senuor Rank. They are not magic beasts that Rezen could currently corrupt with his modified ghost berries.
He can only hope that he will remain safe tonight.
