It was not only Rezen that almost flew in rage, Alchemist Fuchk was the sa. They thought that the scroll the Headmaster bought out was sothing special, but she doesn’t even know what it was.
If you don’t know what that scroll is, why bother taking it out? Are you asking for a beating?
Even Treen frowned, deeply dissatisfied with his lover’s action, and in a hurry, the Headmaster imdiately tried to explain.
"This scroll... I really don’t know what it was, but in my mories, if I were to be in danger, as long as the enemy is not at the Great Rank, this scroll will summon soone strong enough to defeat any enemies."
"I am actually also at the peak of the Senior Rank, and few can defeat . But if I were to encounter danger that even I cannot defeat, this scroll can save . Surely, only people from the core walls would have the capability, right?"
"They might have strong connections inside the core walls, and they might be able to help us contact the Council of the Elders or even the Guardian. Isn’t that right?"
The Headmaster hastily explained, and both Rezen and Alchemist Fuchk were in deep thought. The Alchemist thought that the Headmaster might have an unspeakable background.
As for Rezen, he was focused on the "mories" part. What does the Headmaster even an by that? If it’s your mories, shouldn’t you be completely aware of them?
She said that "in my mories," which made it sound like she was unsure or the mories might not be hers, but she has a recollection of it.
This makes Rezen deeply intrigued, but he is not like Treen. He wouldn’t dare question a Senior Mage.
"The use it now" Treen said with a shrug, and Rezen almost kicked him in the balls.
Use it? Just like that? A scroll that can help defeat any enemies below the Great Rank?
Even Rezen would find himself unwilling to use such a treasure for himself, much less for other people.
Why does Treen act as if the scroll was just a random cabbage to be consud? And why is the Headmaster incredibly obedient to the point that she nodded her head like a pecking chicken before burning the scroll with fire?
Monts passed, and everyone waited for what would happen, but even after a minute, nothing appeared, nor was there any special entity that appeared.
Just as Treen’s impatience reached the limit and he was about to speak, the room was suddenly filled with pink fog, causing the people inside to be quite alert.
Rezen’s eyes trembled as, in the next second, a woman wearing a white mask suddenly appeared next to the Headmaster. He didn’t even notice sensed her and only learned of her appearance after seeing her.
Judging by her aura alone, this person is even stronger than Alchemist Fuchk, evident by how tense the latter was.
It was as if this person wished for it, everyone inside this room would die.
Even the usually playful Headmaster was alert, and she imdiately moved in front of Treen as if she was ready to guard him with his life.
"Who are you?" The Headmaster questioned, and the masked woman suddenly removed her mask.
Everyone inside the room, aside from this unknown mysterious woman, gasped in surprise.
"T-this...!" Rezen’s eyes trembled as he looked at the unknown woman, then to the Headmaster, before looking at the woman again and then back to the Headmaster.
He did this multiple tis as if he could not believe what he could see with his eyes. He even wondered whether soone was using illusion magic against him.
"I am you, and you are " the woman answered, her voice devoid of any emotion as if she was stating a simple fact.
"You..." the Headmaster said, but before she could continue speaking, her eyes suddenly glowed with a pink light and her body trembled.
"Arghhh!!"
The Headmaster scread in pain while clutching her head. Rezen Alchemist Fuchk, and even Treen tried to approach and protect her, but so mysterious power suddenly affected their bodies.
Their bodies felt heavy, and they could not even move an inch. The surrounding pink fog locked the three in their places; none of them was allowed to move.
Fortunately, it didn’t take that long before the Headmaster stopped screaming, and when she did so, the usual playfulness she had vanished.
It was instead replaced by a deep coldness as if she was incapable of feeling any emotion at all. Just like a robot that can only move on command.
"I see. I am you and you are . We are one and the sa" the Headmaster stated as a matter of fact.
They are one and the sa? What the hell does that even an?
Rezen kind of regret coming here today. If he knew that this would happen, he would just let Alchemist Fuchk report to the Headmaster on his own.
Why has he suddenly plunged into this kind of danger? It felt like one wrong move would spell his doom
"That is right. We are one and the sa" the woman agreed as she walked in front of the Headmaster.
"However, you have accomplished sothing that I and the others ’us’ failed to do" the mysterious woman stated as she stared at Treen.
Her eyes were also glowing with a pink glow, and despite the fact that her aura was only at the Senior Rank, it felt as if a terrifying being was using her eyes to stare at Treen.
A being so powerful that even the Guardian of Humanity and the Sage of the magic beasts far paled in comparison. A being so terrific that a single wave of hand might be enough to shatter the entire Savage Beast Realm.
"You are in for luck. Make sure that you continue befriending that guy, his connection would give you trendous benefit in the future"
Suddenly, a familiar voice entered Rezen’s ears. It was the voice of Ivy. This ti, she was not as emotionless as usual.
At normal tis, Ivy’s voice sounds like a real system’s voice that does not have any personality. But there are also special monts wherein she appeared like a living being.
Rezen didn’t expect that she would hear Ivy with such a tone, essentially saying that he should grab "Treen’s" thigh.
"What exactly is happening?" Rezen asked, but Ivy didn’t give any response.
"However, this is just a small step. It is still far from enough to accomplish our goal and ’fix’ us. Just by unlocking a small fragnt of our mories, we turned you back to normal. We have to temporarily seal my own mories so that you will not be affected" the woman continued speaking cryptically, and aside from her and the Headmaster, no one understood what she was talking about.
"A small step is still progress. This is the first ti we have had any progress at all, and he will help us" the Headmaster replied, and the woman nodded her head.
"Indeed, that is the case. This is the miracle that we are waiting for. However, this hope of ours is akin to a candle’s fla in the middle of a storm. We must be careful in nurturing it. As such, we will be sealing the mory fragnts you unlocked today"
"And aside from informing ’us’ of our current situation in this particular realm, I will also seal most of my mories so as not to affect you due to our close proximity"
"Work hard and take a step further with that guy so that at the very least, you and I, no, we, can be one again."
As she said that, the woman waved her hand, and the pink glow on her and the Headmaster’s eyes vanished.
The woman was still as cold and unfeeling as usual, but the Headmaster returned to her usual playful self.
"Honey, are you okay? Were you hurt?" The Headmaster asked. Although she knows that the woman, no, ’she’ will not hurt Treen as he is her hope, her personality as the Headmaster still makes her worried.
"I am fine. But who is she and what happened?" Treen asked cautiously. He might act like a spoiled kept boy in front of the Headmaster, but that is because of their relationship.
This woman, although she looks exactly the sa as the Headmaster, clearly was far stronger than hers. He naturally can’t be as cheeky in front of her.
"She is m—, no, to you and everyone she is one of the Elders in the Council of Elders. She is Elder Priss, the Pink Fog Enslaver" the Headmaster replied cheerfully and everyone was shocked.
This cold and unemotional woman was actually one of the Elders in the Council? The Headmaster actually has such a connection?
However, what just happened earlier? What does their conversation even an?
If Alchemist Fuchk was already suspicious, Rezen was even more so. After all, Ivy nevered asked her to befriend soone before. This was the first ti that she did that!
