Once again, fortune aura showed its usefulness to Rezen. He knew that it was the reason why Rezen got this potion. It influences the black snake to hit the table with its tail causing the reveal of the door
If not for the fortune fruit then Rezen would be no different than the black snake. He might use this room for months or even years without ever discovering the secret room
When Rezen finished reading, the letter on the scrolls turned into flas that burned it into ashes
He stored the box and potion on his farm intending to use it when he returned to the dormitory
After looting the room, Rezen went out and the door broke down once again turning into the old wooden table of before. It seems like the other secret room would not vanish even after he obtained the treasure
When Rezen returned to the first room he saw the snake waiting patiently for him. He doesn't know why but he felt like the snake was smiling at him as it was trying to gain so good points
"Now then what should I do with this snake?" Rezen asked himself
He intended to take this secret room for himself. Naturally, the snake could not continue staying here. However, since it did help Rezen discover a great treasure he decided to be benevolent and let it go
"Go and never co back here again. If I see you here again I'll kill you" Rezen said coldly and the snake almost cried
"H-human! D-don't kick out! Do you know how dangerous the desert is? And even if I try to migrate to a safer place I can't! There are many humans outside the desert and all of them want to kill ! I can only find safety while hiding here! I don't want to die! I don't want to die!"
The snake dramatically banged its head into the ground. It looks like a kid throwing a tantrum causing Rezen to roll his eyes
"What do you want to do then? I can't let you stay here since I don't trust you. If you don't go now I won't show rcy again and just kill you directly" Rezen heartlessly said
He could be kindhearted and show kindness but that is only if it would not negatively affect his own interest if not then he would turn as cruel as the most devilish demon
"T-trust? T-then l-let's vow in the na of darkness! With the vow, I can't harm you and you also can't harm . W-won't you trust if you know that I can't hurt you?" The snake suggested and Rezen knitted his brows
"A vow? What's that?" He asked
eaglesnovɐ1,сoМ Rezen knows that there are spells that could enslave magic beasts. Unfortunately, he hasn't learned those spells and he cannot use them to this snake
"It's an ability of mine and I could only use it once! With the bond, we will form a special connection and neither of us couldn't harm the other!" The snake explained and Rezen knitted his brows
"I don't like the sound of that. What if I want to kill you or maybe use you as bait to save my life?" Rezen muttered while rubbing his chin
If possible he wants to gain a slave rather than an equal partnership with this snake
"H-human you are evil! I'm planning to devote myself to you but you actually have such evil thoughts!" The snake was in disbelief at Rezen's words but in the end, the latter still agreed on the premise that the snake must obey him as long as the order was not sothing that would kill it
In fear that Rezen would change his mind, the snake imdiately used its ability as a black magic circle ford below it
The black magic circle covered the area where the snake is and also the ground that Rezen was standing on
Soon, the entire room suddenly started to be covered with dark fog that brought a chill down to one's spine
The darkness could affect one's senses and Rezen felt like he was plunged into a dark cold sea. His body cannot help but shudder as a result of this bone-chilling darkness
He even thought that the snake actually fooled him and he was about to try to control his mana to attack when he heard the snake speak
"In the na of the Great Darkness, I vow to serve this human as my Master. I cannot harm my Master in any way and I must always obey his orders as long as his orders would not cause my death. I cannot betray my Master or else the Darkness will co and take my soul"
The snake made its vow and all Rezen has to do was agree with the vow's contents and after that the darkness in the room condensed
Rezen looked down at his stomach where so sort of black line could be seen. This line not only reaches his physical body but also his soul
It was a connection between him and the black snake. Rezen can instinctively feel that if the snake were to betray him this connection would cause it to die
After the vow was completed the magic circle dissipated and only then did the snake relax. At the very least its life is now safe
"Master, it's done. You can go and return to your ho, I, your faithful servant will guard this secret room in your place"
In other words, the snake wants Rezen to vanish and continue staying in this room peacefully. But now that Rezen gained a 3rd cycle magic beast as a servant why would he let this snake continue staying here?
"There's no need to do that. Since not just anyone can discover and enter this room there's no need to guard it. You will co with " Rezen said with an evil grin and the snake hurriedly shook its head
"I-I would just be a burden to Master. I-it is better if I stay here!"
"No, no, no, you need to co with . Hurry, I heard that mages could register their beast subordinates to the staff of the resource points. We need to register you and then you could start working for "
It was not uncommon for foragers to enter a resource point alone just to co out with magic beasts that they enslaved
Since there are magic beasts that are intelligent and powerful enough to bring great chaos to the City of Hope, the subordinated magic beasts should be registered and inspected to avoid any mishaps
If the magic beast was not registered then that magic beast could not enter the city or exit the resource points. The human might even be suspected to be under the magic beast's control
With Rezen making the decision, the two searched for more resources in the desert and when the ti was up only then did they exited

"M-master, humans greatly dislike us magic beasts. I think it's better if you return to the desert" the snake that is nad Belazark riding on Rezen's shoulder said to him
It still wanted to continue living peacefully inside the secret room and it didn't give up trying to convince its new master
"Shut up now or I'll turn you into a roasted snake" Rezen said irritably. This snake just doesn't want to stop pestering him
"Evil!" The snake complained and in annoyance, Rezen fired a magic missile at its forehead
Rezen didn't even bother resting after returning to the dormitory building. Instead, he went to the room he usually use to practice alchemy and he sat down
"Belazark, get out of my shoulder and guard and I really an to guard . If you let anyone hurt without doing anything that would be considered as betrayal and you know what will happen if you betray , right?"
Rezen grabbed the snake and threw it out of his shoulder and like a kid, the snake threw a tantrum once more
The snake continuously hit its head on the floor while complaining. "Ahh!! I knew that this would happen! Why do I have to do sothing dangerous? I just want to live peacefully!"
Rezen decided to ignore the snake's tantrum as his spirit entered his farm. The first thing he did was inspect the shelves at the side of his farm that stored various seeds
Most are seeds of Spirit Plants but there were also a few fruits or vegetables in tis that Rezen wanted to eat sothing good. Not to ntion, the things he grows on his farm have far less impurities compared to normal food he could get anywhere else
His cycle is still too low and he can ignore the impurities that his body accumulates after breaking through to the Junior Rank but if he wants to reach the middle cycles he once again has to cleanse his impurities
