With an anxious heart, Stone Head run to his and his wife's hut just to see her already dead and bloody body
The woman that was alive just monts ago is now dead and from the look of things, she might have committed suicide
Is it because of guilt? Or maybe she was taken advantage of by Big Nose and thus decided to kill herself
Thousands of thoughts swirled inside Stone Head's mind for a mont before the only thing left inside him was the thought of murdering the person that causes his wife to die
His mana surged from his elixir field and covered the entirety of his body. A pressure that causes the apprentice mages to take a step back was emitted by his body and the tribesn moved far away from him
What a joke! If a Junior Mage went on a rampage, these apprentices could only offer little to no resistance as there is a big gap between the two ranks!
Stone Head went to his wife's remains and gave her a kiss on the forehead before walking out
No matter what, today, he must kill Big Nose!
Seeing how the situation turned, the Chief decided to intervene. She stepped out and stood between Stone Head and Big Nose that now has sparks flying in their eyes as they gaze at each other
"Calm d—!"
Before the Chief can even finish her words, she turned to look at the distance with her eyes squinting and it didn't take that long before the tribesn heard a familiar sound
Awoooo!!!!
The sound of wolves howling along with their footsteps entered everyone's ears and their faces turned pale
"I-it's the magic beasts!"
"I-is there a beast tide?"
"Mommy! I don't want to die!"
The tribesn clamored, most of them fearful. These tribesn have no problem hunting regularly but they fear a magic beast tide the most
Depending on the size and strength of the beast tide, even a giant tribe that they could only be envious of might be destroyed overnight
A beast tide is the human's worst nightmare in the Savage Beast Realm
"Set aside your differences! Get ready to fight! We have no ti to evacuate!" Chief ordered, her hold on her wand tightening
Out of all these people, perhaps, Rezen is the one that is the most worried. While the tribesn might not have enough power to get through this beast tide, they could at least use magic unlike him!
This situation causes Rezen to unconsciously hold the pouch on his waist. It was the only thing he could resort to if there was a ti that his life was plunged into danger without anyone else helping him
He could only hope that the situation wouldn't force him to use the thing inside his pouch as he has limited resources
Rezen cannot venture out yet to search for his own materials and he could only rely on the tribesn but even their capabilities are limited
This situation left a bad taste in Rezen's mouth. He really hates being powerless. His life and death couldn't even be decided by himself
"Rezen, let's go! We must join the other tribesn. With enough numbers, we would be safe!" Jenna said as if she was trying to convince herself but based on her facial reactions it doesn't seem to be working
As a powerless person, Rezen doesn't need to be told twice and he went with Jenna to join the others
It seems like magic beasts attacks are really common as the tribesn automatically made a formation that protects the children that cannot use magic yet
As for the old and the disabled ones... they are sent outside of the formation. When the magic beasts arrive, they are the ones that would definitely die first
Fortunately, as the tribe's healer, Rezen was also placed inside the circular formation where the apprentice mages could protect him
The others knew that Rezen is still 'injured' and can't use magic yet. Not to ntion, he doesn't even have a single Resonance Gem
If he was a Junior Mage, he does not need the gem but clearly, he was not
After just a couple of minutes, the magic beasts already ca into the tribesn's view
"Double-headed Black Wolf!" A woman near Rezen mumbled the na of the magic beasts that arrived, her face grimacing
These magic beasts are not overly powerful species of magic beasts but they live in a pack and they don't attack their targets alone. Aside from that, these wolves also have two lives
If the wolf was killed once, one of its heads would die but the other head would still remain alive and even beco stronger as a result
Unless a mage could completely obliterate these wolves in a single attack, they would have to kill them twice before they truly die. They are such tricky creatures!
"Both of you behave well if you don't want the tribe to vanish!" The Chief said sternly while looking at Stone Head and Big Nose with threatening eyes
No matter what their differences and hatred are, they must first ensure that they would survive today!
The Chief made a move first. A circular transparent barrier covered her from head to toe as she flicked her wand and three small transparent balls ford
These balls looked similar to the Chief's barrier, albeit they are much smaller. With a wave of her wand, the three orbs of barrier flew quickly in the air
Crash!! Spukk!!
The barrier orbs hit three wolves on their heads, crashing them as a result. Three heads were turned into bloody at pulp that splattered around and dirtied the surroundings
Since these wolves are just beastlings, a Junior Mage could effortlessly kill them
However, the wolves' special characteristics showed themselves. The wolves that lose one of their lives grew slightly bigger and their power increases by a significant margin
Gruuggg!!!
The wolves continue and three of them moved faster than the others but before they could reach the tribe, the Chief controlled her barrier orbs again and the sa thing happened
Splash!!
Three more heads exploded like a waterlon after the barrier orbs collided with them
With these wolves dying twice, they are now truly dead
Unfortunately, compared to the number of wolves that is still increasing, three wolves might be nothing much
It was at this mont that both Stone Head and Big Nose dashed toward the hoard of magic beasts
The mana from their elixir field covered them from head to toe, increasing their physical abilities
Bang! Bang!
Unlike the Chief, these two n are more brutal. They covered with fists with the power of the water elent and bashed the skulls of the wolves
A beastling is no match for a Junior Mage and their heads exploded without much resistance
Blood and bits of flesh scattered around, so even landing on the body and face of the two but a gore scene is sothing that they are already used to and they simply continue
The remaining tribesn also weren't idle as the apprentice mages activated their Resonance Gems that floated in front of them
All of their Resonance Gems are of the water elent and they condensed magic circles in front of them that releases a stream of watery energies
"[Water Stream]"
The tribesn released the simplest of spells and tens of stream spells flew in the air, hitting the wolves, and killing so of them
In a one-on-one battle, a mage would find it hard to kill a magic beast at the sa level but in a group battle, it was easier
They could spam their spells and so of it would definitely hit the magic beasts and kill a number of them
Unfortunately, things escalated quickly. A wolf with an aura significantly stronger than the beastlings appeared
This wolf leaped in the air and when it landed, the ground seems to have eaten it as the wolf passes through it
When the wolf appeared again, it was already in front of an apprentice mage
"Arrrghhh!!!"
The poor apprentice mage gained three long wounds on his body. The wolf's claw was extrely sharp, not only did it rip the flesh of the apprentice mage, even his internal organs were not left unscathed
With just a single attack, one of the tribesn died without being able to offer much resistance
"No!" Another person cried out in fear and grief as they watch their family die
The only fortunate thing was that before the wolf could kill another person again, the Chief already made her move
One of the barrier orbs flew and landed on the wolf's body but instead of killing it, the orb instead expanded and trapped the wolf inside
This wolf is also at the Junior Rank and it is more troubleso to kill it
Instead of trying to go for the kill imdiately, Chief trapped the wolf inside her barrier before she threw the barrier away from the tribesn
