Despite the fog in this small dinsion, it was as if the Fla Wing Centipede has eyes everywhere. After the 4th rank centipedes fused and beca a single 5th rank magic beast, it continued on its way to reach Rezen that was busy taking two gold coins on a floating island
The breaking of his spell naturally alerted Rezen and after he stored the gold coins, he look in the direction where the centipede was coming from
Szzz!!
So of the fog dissipated as tens of balls of fire flew in the air, all of which were released by the Fla Wing Centipede
Since this entity is now a 5th rank magic beast, despite the fact that Rezen could still defeat and kill it, things wouldn’t be as easy
Aside from that, even if he did kill the centipede, since killing and sealing wouldn’t work then there is only one thing he could do
“[Earthen Projectiles!]”
Magic circles ford on the floating islands surrounding Rezen and they moved according to his will
He used these floating land masses to block the fireballs, sending bits of scorched earth in every direction
“[Drifting Wind!]”
After taking care of the fireballs, Rezen casts yet another spell. His wind-type mystic gem flashed as he ford his magic circle
This ti, the [Drifting Wind] spell was not used to make Rezen’s speed faster. Instead of using the wind to attract his body toward the target, what he did was push the centipede away from him
The centipede was suddenly t with strong wind resistance, making it hard for it to approach Rezen
Rezen maintained this spell while his spirits collected the gold coins for him. Whenever the centipede would reach dangerously close to him, he would use the [Drifting Wind] on himself to increase the distance between him and the centipede
Since killing and sealing didn’t work then Rezen could only try to stall the centipede while his spirits collect the gold coins for him
Minutes passed with Rezen dealing with the centipede. Sotis he would be attacked but he always managed to block or dodge
At this point, the spirits already went to all the floating islands and took the gold coins from them
However, despite that, the dinsion still hasn’t connected with another dinsion causing Rezen to frown
There is no way to tell just how many gold coins are there in a dinsion nor where to find them
Now that all the islands were searched, Rezen originally thought that the dinsion would connect with another dinsion but clearly, it has not
While Rezen was in the middle of thinking, the centipede suddenly flapped its wings more aggressively than before
Crescent flas rapidly flew in the air like guided missiles as they only have one target in mind
Rezen used the land masses around him once more to check on sothing
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The floating islands were blasted into scorched pieces but of the tens of islands that Rezen used as a shield, none of them dropped a gold coin
He was trying to figure out if the islands were actually hiding more gold coins but it seems like the chances were low
There were literally around a thousand or so of such islands. The Space Monarch couldn’t possibly want the contestants to destroy every single one of them, right?
Of course, it’s not like that was impossible considering that Space Monarch talked about luck but he should still give those with bad luck a chance, right?
As such, before thinking of destroying all the floating islands, Rezen decided to put his focus on the centipede
Maybe… this centipede has a hidden gold coin?
Rezen’s eyes flashed as he jumped out of the floating island he was standing on. His feet release the power of the sun as it helps him fly in the air
The centipede in return opened its pincer to et Rezen as if it wants to eat him alive but who is Rezen? He is not soone that can die here!
A human and a flying centipede t each other with the latter using its pincers to pinch the forr to death
At first, the centipede seems to have succeeded as its pincers successfully cut Rezen’s head in half
However, in the next second, ‘Rezen’ suddenly turned into multiple black crows
The real Rezen appeared on a certain island below the centipede
“[Crow Illusion Substitution!]”
With a wave of Rezen’s hand, a nature elent magic circle ford and from it, vines with sharp thorns ca out
“[Vampiric Vines!]”
The vines moved quickly as they wrapped themselves on the Fla Wing Centipede. Rezen poured his power on the magic circle and have the vines issue a strong binding force
The centipede has a hard carapace defense and the Vampiric Vines don’t find it easy to pierce through that layer of defense
But with a help of a few more spells, the wriggling centipede’s defense was soon pierced through and had all the ‘blood’ on its body sucked
“Hmm?”
Rezen felt that sothing was weird and he approached the ‘dry’ centipede to fiddle with its corpse
He indeed saw a gold coin or more like gold coins as there were ten of them in total
After taking the gold coin, the “Fla Wing Centipede” bursts into a fog
Turns out that the centipede was actually not real. Their attacks were real but the centipedes themselves were not
Rezen was lucky that he didn’t continue killing or sealing the centipedes. If not, their numbers would just continue to multiply which would make things harder for him
Aside from the ‘centipede’ vanishing, the dinsion also suddenly shook and from a distance, Rezen could see another dinsion rging with the dinsion he is standing on
This other dinsion was a space with endless water. There wasn’t even the least bit of land to see
——
“Hahaha! I’m so lucky!”
In a dinsion of endless water, a person with a human’s upper body and a fish tail created entirely out of water could be seen happily swimming
Greg is one of the contestants in Space Monarch’s Tournant. He grew up in a port city and he is also a mage specializing in water magic
If there are large bodies of water nearby, he could display more than a hundred percent of his power
Water is his turf!
Even though he’s just a 4th fusion rank mage but if he fought a 5th fusion rank mage inside the water, he has so chance of winning or at least escaping
He was one of the contestants that could be considered lucky. The dinsion he entered was the best dinsion where he could exert all of his strength
Being joyful in this scenario was to be expected. Although this dinsion also brought a bit of a problem
Unlike Rezen’s dinsion where you knew exactly where to find the gold coins except for the ones on the centipede, finding the gold coins in this large body of water is harder
The gold coins could either be on the ‘ocean floor’ or sowhere else in this large body of water
Still, with Greg specializing in water magic, it would only be a matter of ti before he gathered all the gold coins since even if he encountered aquatic magic beasts, he could outrun them
That is until when he felt the dinsion where he was shaking. A sign that it connected with another dinsion
“Did soone collect all the gold coins on their dinsion already?” Greg thought while frowning
He still hasn’t collected all the gold coins in his dinsion but it was already connected with another dinsion
This is not a good thing for him but with all the water surrounding him, he was confident that even if it’s a 5th fusion rank mage, he could cope
Greg continues exploring the dinsion while raising his guard in case the enemy contestant found him
However, it hasn’t been that long since the two dinsions were connected when Greg already sensed danger
Magic fluctuations were picked up by his sense and when he looked behind him, he saw a young man swimming rapidly toward him
This situation shocked him as the water elental particles were more docile towards the enemy contestant than him
“Wait are those… Mystic Tattoos!” Greg’s eyes constricted
It’s not like there were no Tattoo Warriors that were also mages that joined the Tournant this year or before
It’s just that they are rarer and Greg didn’t expect to encounter a Tattoo Warrior with the elent of water
He was originally happy about his luck but turns out that his luck didn’t last that long
A water-type Tattoo Warrior at the 5th rank in this dinsion filled with water… that is not sothing that Greg could fight!
There is no other choice but to flee. That’s the only thing he could do!
Greg urged his rmaid tail and he swam really fast as if he was a torpedo. Unfortunately, his speed was lacking compared to the speed of his opponent
