“Keep safe, brother Claude!” Rezen said while waving goodbye. His expression was that of worry
Claude nodded his head at him before he casts magic and had the winds carry him away
Rezen watched that handso and kind man with anxiety. He just finished giving Claude so of his recovery pills along with so more mutated plants
The reason why Claude went to see him was for his recovery pills. When Claude was almost killed by the traitor General, Rezen saved him with the help of the recovery pill
Although Claude didn’t inquire nor ask anything to Rezen after that, it doesn’t an that he had already forgotten about the pill
He just doesn’t think that it was his business and for him, Rezen’s fortune is sothing he should not ss with
However, the recovery pills were really miraculous. It was unlike any other elixir that Claude had tried before
The effects were great and it was even instantaneous
In case Claude gets injured while trying to save Shadow Dog and Rezen’s subordinates, only the recovery pills could save his life
As such, he asked Rezen for so. Of course, not for free. Claude borrowed so money from Dominant Sky and promised to give Rezen more in the future
Although Rezen gave out quite a number of recovery pills, he still can’t help but be worried
He doesn’t want Claude to be caught or worse, die
It’s just that Claude’s mind was already set and even when Rezen tried to change his mind, it didn’t work
“Sigh…” Rezen sighed deeply as he walked out of his mini cherry blossoms forest to the area of his farm that he uses to plant his crops
His mini-forest was where he and his subordinates stayed and the other areas were basically for planting
There are various things that one can plant and even until now, Rezen still plants many things for the first ti
So of them were still on his farm, ready to be harvested
One tree, in particular, is Rezen’s target this ti. This tree is a tea tree with golden leaves called the Gold Sage Tree
It’s not a Spirit Plant but even if it’s not, many people still like it because of its supposedly wonderful taste
In this world, they say that if a person doesn’t like tea then they should try the Gold Sage Tea and they would start to find tea tasty and enjoyable
The tree was quite small, only around 3 ters in height, and Rezen observed the leaves, trying to find where the mutated leaves are which wasn’t hard to do
Most of his mutated crops look exactly the sa as normal aside from looking healthier than the ones that could be bought from the market
So of them are different in appearance just like the tal potato. This ti, the difference was that the normal Sage Tea leaves are gold in color while the mutated ones are also the sa but are glowing
Rezen can’t stop worrying about Claude and his subordinates. The only way to prevent his mind from overloading is to direct his mind to other things
Since his hobby is farming and checking out the fruits of his labor, it is what he decided to do
Rezen plucked one of the glowing leaves and he checked its system description
“[Na: Great Gold Sage Tea Leaf
Quality: Mutated
– A mutated tea leaf that could amplify another plant’s effects. The amplification is inversely proportional to how effective the plant is]
“Hmm? Inversely proportional? Does that an that the more effective a plant’s effect is, the lesser the improvent and vice versa?” Rezen mumbled to himself in interest
It’s not every day that he could see Spirit Plants or mutated plants that have this kind of effect
Rezen plucked so more leaves before he returned to his Mushroom Ho
He sat on his small sofa while waving his hand at the table in front of him causing various kinds of Spirit Plants to pile up
Just for the sake of experience and having a large array of Spirit Plants, Rezen also planted ones that he could not use while thinking that they might co in handy in the future
With the Great Gold Sage Tea Leaves, he might finally put so of his spirit plants that are already ‘rotting’ in his storage to good use
“Black Buckweed… Seducing Rose… Crying Orchids… Eye-burning Orange… Mud Cabbage… Nah, I don’t think these spirit plants would be useful even if their effects are enhanced… wait!”
Rezen’s focus was caught by another tea leaf and it was the sa as the Gold Sage Tea the only difference was that this one was a Spirit Plant
In this world, many things can be discovered. Both species can be the sa. For example, cabbages. If it was a normal cabbage, it would only be used for consumption to satiate one’s hunger
However, there are also cabbages that are Spirit Plants and they have different effects
There’s the ‘normal’ and Spirit Plants’ counterpart
From what Rezen can recall, the Spirit Plant Gold Sage Tea Leaf is used by mages to put their ntal state at its peak when they are studying magic theories
In other words, it’s like a brain supplent that would make ‘studying’ easier
Unfortunately, the tea’s effects weren’t that great. It offers so help but the help is not too good
Not to ntion, if a person has no comprehension talent, using the tea is useless. Rezen is like that
He had already tried this tea in hopes that he won’t have to solely rely on the Mysterious Peaches and Banana but the effect was negligible
It still feels like he is a kindergarten student that is trying to learn advanced calculus
But if the Spirit Plant; Gold Sage Tea is paired with the mutated Great Sage Tea… just how much would its effect improve?
Rezen imdiately decided to try it out. He went to his indoor kitchen, grabbed a kettle to boil so water
However, his impatience acted up again and he decided to use magic to speed up the boiling process
As such, it took less than a minute before Rezen obtained hot water
He grabbed whatever cup he could grab before pouring so water in. Since Rezen’s goal is to test the effects and not to enjoy the tea, he carelessly added the tea leaves both from the Spirit Plants and the Mutated version of Gold Sage Tea to the cup of water
Rezen thought that the water would also be gold in color but he… he wasn’t disappointed. The clear water indeed turned gold in color
He removed the used tea leaves first before he drank it in one gulp even at the cost of burning his own tongue and throat
The pain caused by the tea’s temperature was overshadowed by the taste. It was a bit sweet, llow, and also has that minty effect
It was simply tasty not just in the physical sense but also spiritually
Rezen can feel his soul receiving so supplent and he felt like he has beco way smarter than before
The effects were a bit too hard to describe but Rezen can feel that his brain was working way better than before
As such, he hurriedly grabbed so magic theories books he received from both Claude and Florine
Rezen started studying the magic theories. In the past, whenever he tried to study, it would simply be futile
It’s not that he just has to persevere and he would understand things. It’s the type of studying that no matter how much effort you put into it, everything would be useless
However, this ti, things are completely different. The feeling of studying magic theories this ti is different
Rezen can feel that as long as he focuses and he continues to study, he would grasp the knowledge
“The Sun… the giver of life and warmth. Without it, plants wouldn’t grow. Get too near it and you’ll burn, get too far from it and you’ll freeze to death. But if you put yourself in the right amount of distance, it would sustain all life…” Rezen muttered as if he was hypnotized
His mind was completely diving into the mysteries of the sun, the first-ever mystic gem that he ever had
He can feel the mysteries of the sun uncovering in front of him. He is being enlightened the more he read
It was to the point that Rezen unconsciously called out his sun-type mystic gem. He had it float around him while it resonated with the natural laws as if it would help him understand the power of the sun
He was too deep in his enlightennt that Rezen started waving his hand while his eyes were glowing with a yellowish light
He started forming a magic circle that he had never created before
The combination of the two tea leaves was way better than Rezen had imagined. It gave him great enlightennt to the point that he was starting to create his own spell
