The phone at the edge of the desk started vibrating. He reached out, took the phone, saw the na on the screen, felt a bit surprised, and sat up straight to answer the call.
“Chen Xu, what made you think to call ?”

“What’s this about disturbing? Are you not considering a friend?” Liu Kun laughed heartily. “I couldn’t find ti to co to the opening of your new shop last ti. If you open another new store, I’ll be there for sure.”
“You were already so busy, and yet you made a point to send a flower basket. I’m very grateful.”
“You’re just being too polite.” Liu Kun laughed and then got down to business. “There must be sothing on your mind for you to call , right?”
“There is sothing I want to ask.”
“Go ahead.”
“There’s a company called Jinyun Catering Group Co., Ltd. that wants to partner with to promote my noodle shop. I’m not sure if they are reliable.”
Liu Kun said, “Send the company’s na, and I’ll have soone look into it. I’ll get back to you in a couple of days.”
“Thank you, Mr. Liu.”
“Really, if you want to thank , stop calling Mr. Liu all the ti. Just call Brother Liu.”
“Then, thank you, Brother Liu. I won’t bother you anymore.”
“Alright, that’s all for now.”
After hanging up the phone, Liu Kun’s index finger gently tapped on the armrest. Chen Xu’s call ant that the goodwill he had shown before was not in vain.

Liu Kun called his secretary in and instructed her, “Check the docunts on this company, not just the ones on paper, but also their reputation and word of mouth within the industry, understand?”
“Jinyun Catering Group Co., Ltd?”
Xiao Lin saw the na of the company and looked puzzled. “Isn’t this a catering company? It has no business dealings with our company. Why are we checking on this?”
“Just go and check when you’re told to check.”
“Oh.” Xiao Lin saw that he was getting impatient and didn’t dare say more, turning to leave.
“Also, get the results to by tomorrow.”
“Got it.”
“And when is Mr. Luo returning to the country?” Liu Kun suddenly rembered sothing.
Xiao Lin thought for a mont, looked pained, turned to glance at the notebook she held, then turned back and said, “The day after tomorrow.”

After Secretary Guo left, he pondered over how to report to Mr. Luo about Luo Xiyun dating once Mr. Luo returned.

Chen Xu went outside and recognized the person when he saw her; she had always followed behind Liu Kun, but they had never spoken. His feeling was that she wasn’t easy to talk to.
