"Not enough," Shen Dang said with an ambiguous smile to Qiao Xi, "How could it be enough?"

It would never be enough.

Qiao Xi didn’t want to engage with him.

...

When Tang Honghe returned to the private room, he was holding a very large bouquet of flowers.

A sea of rose-red, as if exuding an aura of being in love.

Qiao Xi raised her eyebrows, sowhat excited.

The others started teasing Tang Honghe upon seeing this.

"Wow, what kind of flowers has President Tang got there?"

"What flower? It must be roses!"

"Those roses are quite pretty; are they for ?"

"Pfft, why would he give them to you? A big man like you liking that girly, prissy rose?"

"Our Xiao Tang isn’t thinking of getting married too after seeing Jiashu tie the knot, is he? Which lady is it?"

"Which lady, huh? You’ll find out soon enough."

Tang Honghe, impatient with their chattering, said, "Who told you I want to get married? I do have soone I want to seriously date though. Don’t flatter yourselves; these flowers aren’t for you. A bunch of guys coveting my flowers, have so sha. If you want flowers, ask your own won to give them to you. I have soone in mind for these."

After he spoke, Tang Honghe’s gaze turned towards Qu Keke.

Qu Keke t Tang Honghe’s gaze, her pupils slightly dilated, and seed to realize what he was going to do. She wanted to hide.

Her brother was sitting right beside her.

Qu Keke quietly shifted her body to hide behind Qu Jiashu, burying her head as well.

Qu Jiashu was utterly confused, "Qu Keke, what are you doing?"

Qu Keke wanted him to shut up. Couldn’t he pretend not to see her at this mont?

Qu Keke grasped her head, "Ah, drank too much. Dizzy. I’ll just lean here and play with my phone for a bit."

Qu Jiashu narrowed his eyes, a sharp glint flashing across them, "You didn’t drink that much. What’s making you dizzy?"

Tang Honghe was already heading their way.

Seeing Tang Honghe’s figure approaching, Qu Jiashu promptly pulled Qu Keke out, "Are you hiding sothing from ?"

He asked with a tinge of anger.

"No," Qu Keke denied quickly upon seeing her brother angry, "What could I possibly do behind your back? Don’t be paranoid."

"Qu Keke!"

"What?"

Hearing her na being called, Qu Keke raised her voice reflexively.

When she looked up, she found herself eye-to-eye with Tang Honghe.

Realizing that it was Tang Honghe calling her, she inquired, "What?"

Qu Keke asked again, her tone sowhat aggressive.

But the more she did so, the more it seed like she was putting on a front.

Wasn’t this the little sister he had watched grow up? Could Jiashu not see through her unusual behavior?

"These... these flowers are for you," Tang Honghe directly presented the flowers to her, "These flowers are ant for you."

Qiao Xi: "???"

That’s it?

Was this a confession?

Was she opening it wrong?

She wore a wry expression, "Shen Dang, is this the result you guys ca up with?"

Shen Dang shook his head, clicking his tongue, "No, he probably chickened out and forgot the lines he’d prepared."

Shen Dang could hardly bear to watch.

Qiao Xi: "..."

What else could she say?

"Why... why are you suddenly giving flowers?"

Qu Keke feigned ignorance.

There were so many people watching, and her brother was still here!

Qu Keke frantically gestured with her eyes at Tang Honghe.

They could talk about whatever it was in private!

Naturally, Tang Honghe didn’t know what she was thinking, but he could guess a little from her eyes.

He didn’t want to talk in private!

This cheeky girl was still trying to play him!

Tang Honghe’s expression darkened a bit, showing his displeasure, "Qu Keke, don’t you know why I’m giving you flowers?"

Qu Keke guiltily averted her eyes, "How should I know."

"What are you two whispering about?"

Jiashu couldn’t bear it anymore and snatched the flowers from Tang Honghe’s hands.

Tang Honghe exclaid, "Hey, why are you stealing my flowers? They’re for your sister."

Qu Jiashu curled his lip, a mocking smile on his face, "You do know that Qu Keke is my sister, right?"

What did giving flowers to his sister an?

Tang Honghe blurted out, "She’s your sister but also my girlfriend."

Ah no, Qu Keke hadn’t agreed to be his girlfriend yet.

So that didn’t really count.

But she better not think of reneging.

"What are you babbling about?" Qu Keke’s face turned red in an instant.

Jiashu’s scrutinizing gaze swept over her, "Qu Keke, are you dating Tang Honghe? Since when?"

"...Not yet," Qu Keke said weakly.

"Right, we haven’t officially started dating," Tang Honghe nodded, "But we did have a thing before, kissed and all. Giving you the flowers tonight was to clarify our relationship; surely you don’t intend to cheat of my emotions?"

"You’re talking nonsense!" Qu Keke exploded like a little kitten, "Tang Honghe, shut up!"

"Qu Keke!" Jiashu’s voice deepened, "What have you been hiding from ?"

Qu Keke didn’t dare to speak.

She chickened out.

She had been a fool, whining...

She’d ended up with her brother’s good friend.

Tang Honghe pulled Qu Keke in front of him, addressing Jiashu, "I like Qu Keke, and she likes . But I haven’t formally confessed to her. This is officially confessing to her."

Qu Keke stared at Tang Honghe with wide eyes.

From her angle, she could see Tang Honghe’s broad shoulders, seeming to shield her from the storm.

Jiashu never expected his good friend to turn around and go after his sister. He had vaguely sensed sothing unusual before, but Tang Honghe and Qu Keke never showed any signs.

Had the two really gotten together behind his back?

Jiashu again pulled Qu Keke from behind Tang Honghe, his expression stern, "Qu Keke, tell it yourself!"

Tang Honghe defended Qu Keke, "Jiashu, why are you scaring her with that look?"

Jiashu glared at him, "My sister is still young."

Qu Keke looked down, her voice timid, "Brother, I’ll be 22 after the New Year, not that young anymore."

Jiashu: "..."

Not that young?

She dare claim she’s not young?

Jiashu took a deep breath, "He’s five years older than you!"

Tang Honghe, confused, "Bro, is five years really that much?"

Similarly bewildered, Qu Keke echoed, "Yeah, is five years really that much?"

Jiashu paused, his irritation turning into amusent by the pair’s reactions.

Lin Muxian giggled softly, "Jiashu, five years isn’t really a big deal. Keke is of age to be in a relationship. She’s almost at the legal marriage age; are you really not planning to let your sister get married?"

Qu Keke mumbled under her breath, "Sister-in-law, you don’t need to take it that far."

She wasn’t even thinking of getting married yet.

Jiashu was silent for quite so ti, his gaze sharp, "Then tell , are you two serious about each other?"

"I am serious," Tang Honghe affird.

Jiashu’s face was expressionless, "And you, Qu Keke?"
