Chapter 66: Chapter 66 Birthday Banquet (1)
The sleek black Maybach stopped in a secluded corner of the villa’s open space, exactly where Su Nian hoped it would.
She did not want others to see her exit Shen Hanxiu’s car and gossip about it.
Su Zhen had styled herself just like Su Nian, looking like a mini version of her, absolutely adorable. She held Shen Hanxiu’s hand with one hand and Su Bao’s hand with the other.
In crowded places, she felt timid and would cling to Su Bao when scared.
Su Nian walked alone behind them, deliberately keeping a distance between herself and Shen Hanxiu as they entered the garden where the banquet was held.
“President Shen, I didn’t expect to see you here.”

As soon as they arrived, a group of people imdiately surrounded Shen Hanxiu, completely ignoring Su Nian who was behind him.
Seeing this commotion, Su Yalan hurried over, affectionately hooking her arm around Shen Hanxiu’s arm: “Ah Shu, why did you co so late? Daddy has been asking about you.”
Then she bent down to kindly inquire the children, appearing very familiar, “**How co your mom didn’t co?**”
Su Zhen looked at her strangely, thinking this auntie really odd since they didn’t know her at all.
Glancing at her hand holding Shen Hanxiu’s, Su Zhen pushed Su Yalan like a little tiger in front of everyone and yelled, “He is my Uncle Shen! You can’t hold him!”
Her strength wasn’t great, but Su Yalan, wearing very high heels, stumbled several steps back. Shen Hanxiu just watched coldly, not extending a hand to help her but instead turned to glance at Su Nian.
What is this woman dragging her feet about?
Soone helped Su Yalan to prevent her from falling, giving her a chance to maintain face amid an ugly look. Amidst the crowd, she smiled warmly, looking at Su Nian coming over and greeted affectionately, “Niece, your daughter is quite mischievous, she almost pushed over.”
She had said in the news that Shen Hanxiu took care of Su Nian’s family simply because he saw Su Nian as his niece and helped them out of this kinship, so she had to act close with Su Nian in public to make everyone believe that Shen Hanxiu was helping because he loved her family.
Su Nian of course knew her tactics, but paid no heed.
Su Bao, fearing his mom might be bullied, quickly pulled Su Nian beside him, eyes on Su Yalan.
The crowd’s attention only then shifted from Shen Hanxiu to the two children, with soone complinting, “President Shen’s nieces and nephews are really adorable.”
Another chid in: “Yes, President Shen is so good to his niece, if he and Miss Yalan have a child, wouldn’t that child be extrely favored?”
Su Nian, not wanting the children to attract too much attention, subtly pulled Su Zhen to her side.
Unexpectedly, her other hand was still holding onto Shen Hanxiu, thus she ended up pulling Shen Hanxiu along as well.
Shen Hanxiu turned his head and glanced indifferently at Su Nian, then, under the watchful eyes of everyone, moved Su Zhen to the other side and naturally wrapped his free right arm around Su Nian’s waist: “Are your shoes uncomfortable? Want to sit over there for a while?”
Su Nian did not expect him to be so bold and quickly sidestepped to avoid his hand.
Those who were just joking now looked at each other, hesitant to speak out.
Headlines had stated he was engaged to Su Yalan? Why did today’s scene seem completely different from the news?
“Xiao Nian, Ah Shu, you’re here, what are you standing around for? Co sit over there.”
Su Zhen excitedly said to Su Guotian, “Great-grandpa, Zhenzhen bought you a cake.”
Su Guotian, startled, then smilingly led Su Zhen forward, “Really? Great-grandpa will have to eat more of what Zhenzhen bought.”
Seeing Shen Hanxiu alone, Su Yalan imdiately approached, “Ah Shu, let’s go over together.”
Su Nian glanced at them and quickly followed with Su Bao.
She had thought Shen Hanxiu would be more cautious with his words and actions here, it seems she underestimated his reckless behavior.
As Su Nian and Su Bao were walking forward, they happened to run into Deng Tonglian who glared at Su Nian before running back to catch up with Shen Hanxiu: “Son, hurry and co with mom, I have sothing to talk to you about.”
Shen Hanxiu felt sothing off tonight and didn’t want to let Su Nian out of his sight, hence he declined: “Mom, I’m not dealing with anything tonight.”
“Nonsense! Uncle Guo is back, hurry and co with to greet him.”
This Uncle Guo, who had personally taught Shen Hanxiu about business when he first returned to the Shen family, was strict, but indeed taught him a lot.
Su Yalan, arm in arm with Shen Hanxiu said, “Ah Shu, let’s go together.”
