The door opened, and the sound of footsteps gradually approached. Ziyan knew it was him, but she still kept her eyes closed and didn’t move.

Tang Shaosheng walked to the bedside and watched her sleeping.

He looked at his watch, it was already late.

He gently patted her face and said, not so tenderly, "Wake up."

Ziyan frowned, turned her head to avoid the touch, and then slowly sat up from the bed.

After washing up and changing clothes, she went downstairs. The breakfast was sowhat cold, so Ziyan ate just a little.

After she finished, Tang Shaosheng said, "I’ll take you to school."

Ziyan did not respond, instead, she turned and went upstairs.

Tang Shaosheng thought she was going to get sothing and stood waiting for her downstairs.

He couldn’t hear her voice anymore, as if the whole world beca silent along with her.

Standing downstairs for a while, he checked his watch and, becoming a bit impatient, walked upstairs.

Pushing open the bedroom door, he found her standing on the balcony, staring blankly at the flowers and plants in the yard.

Tang Shaosheng walked over and asked, "Not going to school?"

She didn’t move at all, as if she hadn’t heard him – no nod, no shake of the head.

Tang Shaosheng realized that communicating with her had beco difficult.

She ignored him, and he couldn’t force her since she could no longer speak.

Standing by her side for a while, he felt sowhat defeated.

He let her be and turned to leave.

Ziyan only shifted her eyes after sensing his departure and then looked at the lush, dense yard, planning how to live her future life.

In the afternoon, Tang Shaosheng had a sign language teacher co over, gave so instructions, and then left.

He was gone for a week.

Ziyan realized that her muteness might be long-term.

She learned sign language earnestly as she knew her future needed it.

After a week’s learning, she could manage basic communication.

In the afternoon, Ziyan took the compensation money from the company and, along with Jin Qiu, went to look at a shop and incidentally rented an apartnt.

She wanted to start so business and then move out.

When Jin Qiu heard about Ziyan’s situation, she cursed Tang Shaosheng thoroughly although it was no help at all.

"Yanyan, there’s a flower shop up ahead transferring ownership; actually, the business isn’t bad, but the owner wants to move abroad with her boyfriend. Maybe you should ask?"

Ziyan thought it over and nodded.

She was worried about what line of business to choose, thinking a flower shop wasn’t bad as she liked gardening.

The shop was in a pri location and naturally a bit expensive; almost all of Ziyan’s compensation money went into it.

She found a one-bedroom apartnt near the flower shop and borrowed so money from Jin Qiu.

Now, she just waited for Tang Shaosheng to co back.

At night, she packed her belongings; she arrived with one suitcase and was leaving with still just one.

By nine o’clock, thinking he wouldn’t co back, she bathed and went to bed.

Late at night, she faintly heard the sound of a car outside, and in a daze, felt that he had returned.

Ziyan opened her eyes, the silence around was oddly profound, and she couldn’t tell if the noise she heard was a dream or reality.

Hesitating, she still got out of bed and put on her slippers.

She opened the door, peeked out, and saw the study’s light was indeed on.

The door was ajar, and Ziyan stepped forward, gently pushed it open, and saw Tang Shaosheng gesturing in front of the computer; the voice from the computer seed like it was teaching sign language.

Ziyan was stunned; Tang Shaosheng noticed her and abruptly closed the laptop, his gaze falling on her.

Only then did Ziyan walk over, disregarding what she had just seen, and signed, [I’m moving out.]

Tang Shaosheng was taken aback, but then coldly looked away.

He had hired a sign language teacher so that she could tell him she wanted to move out?

He had learned sign language in his spare ti just to understand this sentence?

His heart was unwilling, but his lips carelessly said, "Whatever you want."

Ziyan didn’t expect his straightforwardness, was montarily stunned, said nothing more, and turned to leave the room.

The next morning, he was gone; considering they had no feelings for each other, it was more convenient for him to bring other won ho.

Ziyan left with her belongings, not even leaving a note for him.

After moving to her new ho, many things needed to be arranged; the flower shop was initially managed by Jin Qiu, so she was not too busy yet.

Gradually, she got used to sign language, but still, seeing others on the streets holding guitars singing, she envied them from afar, unable to move her feet for a long ti.
