Chapter 360: Chapter 253: Love Flows Gently

Su Yan was in the high school area, while Su Zhen was in the elentary school area.

At noon when Su Yan went to find Su Zhen for lunch, he saw her crying while walking out.

Su Yan hurried over and grabbed her to ask, “What happened?”

Upon seeing him, Su Zhen threw herself into his arms, her voice choked with sobs: “Wu~ I don’t want to study here anymore, the people here are so an!”

Su Yan lifted her up, wiped her tears, and asked gently, “What happened? Tell .”

Crying, she touched her own hair and said, “They cut my hair…”

Su Yan looked and indeed, a large chunk of hair was missing from the back, cut rather unevenly.

Frowning, he led her towards the classroom: “Who cut it?”

Su Zhen said angrily, “The girl sitting behind , she’s so annoying!” She looked pitifully at Su Yan: “She also broke the hair clip you gave …”

Su Yan touched her head, comforting: “It’s okay, I’ll buy you another one later.”

Leading her to the classroom door, there were already many people in the corridor, excited to see him: “It’s Su Yan!”

“Wow! It really is him!” Several little girls were delighted but did not dare to co closer.

Su Yan, not glancing around, walked with Su Zhen to her seat and saw the girl sitting behind her as well as a clump of black hair on the ground.

It was Su Zhen’s hair.

The girl had blonde curly hair but an Eastern face, clearly dyed, and wore a butterfly bow headband; she looked sowhat cute yet arrogant and scornfully said to Su Zhen, “What’s the matter? You can only call others for help because you’re incapable?”

Su Zhen glared at her fiercely.

The girl fiddled with a pair of scissors in her hand, showing no sign of apologizing: “Just cut a few strands of hair, do you need to be so petty? You think you’re sothing just because Su Yan backs you?”

Su Yan stayed silent but glanced at the scissors in her hand, then avoidingly snipped off the speaking girl’s hair with a swift cut, stating, “There’s an ancient saying in China, an eye for an eye.”

Speaking of “an eye for an eye” to a first-grade elentary school student, especially one who grew up abroad, seed a bit profound.

The girl, not caring about the aning of his words, stared furiously at Su Yan, her favorite boy treating her like this: “You… you dare to cut my hair!”

She held her uneven bangs, glaring angrily at Su Zhen: “Do you know who my daddy is?! I’ll get him to kick you out of the school!”

Clearly spoiled by adults.

And Su Zhen was not soone easy to provoke, being pampered too.

That mont, the teacher walked in, and the girl imdiately ran to her, crying: “Teacher Anna! That new girl cut my hair!”

Teacher Anna, seeing the girl’s uneven bangs, frowned imdiately, then sternly asked Su Zhen, “What happened here?”

Filled with grievances, Su Zhen was about to explain, but Su Yan spoke up: “I did it.” He then showed Su Zhen’s cropped hair ends, revealing the truth: “She started it.”

The girl denied, “She cut my hair first, and I cut back!”

Knowing the girl had so background, the teacher sided with her slightly: “You both co to the office.”

On the way, the teacher continued lecturing Su Zhen, saying she stirred up trouble upon arrival, causing Su Zhen to cry in distress.

Unfamiliar with such situations, she didn’t know how to deal with it.

The teacher also knew the issue might not have started with Su Zhen, but since the girl’s family was influential, scolding her could lead to their imdiate intervention.

“You shouldn’t bully your classmates again, understand?” the teacher told Su Zhen.

Crying, Su Zhen sobbed, “She bullied ! She cut my hair, and I don’t even know her!”

The teacher grew impatient: “Why can’t you admit when you do sothing wrong?”

In the office, another man with a Western face ca in, asking in English, “What’s going on?”

The teacher smiled, “New kid, caused so trouble, cutting soone’s hair like this.”

Touching the girl’s bangs, the Western man, however, looked at Su Zhen, leaned over to inspect, and asked, “What’s her na?”

“Shen Yi’an.”

The man imdiately crouched down, hugged Su Zhen, wiped her tears, and asked in Chinese, “Child, tell uncle what happened.”

Finally, soone listened to her, Su Zhen touched her tears, pointing at the girl, “She cut my hair first, and the teacher wouldn’t believe !”

The teacher frowned uncomfortably, about to explain, but the man turned to the girl, “Call your parents! It’s not the first ti you bullied soone at school! Next ti it’ll be expulsion!”

The teacher was shocked, thinking the principal was unaware of the girl’s background, inwardly gasping.

The girl was taken away by the head of discipline to write a statent of reflection.

The principal comforted Su Zhen, reassuring her it was all right.

Su Yan then took her hand, “Let’s go, we’ll go eat.”

Wiping her tears, she held Su Yan’s hand and they left.

The teacher then said, “Principal, that girl… is the vice principal’s relative.”

The principal glared at her, “Do you know who donated ten billion to the school last week?”

The teacher was stunned, aware of the donation but unaware of the donor.

The principal reminded her, “Shen Hanxiu! Shen Yian’s father! If you mistreat his daughter, none of us will have an easy ti!”

“And the girl herself has spoken, why don’t you believe her? Whoever is at fault is at fault! Even if it were my child, I would still punish them!”

The teacher was inwardly sighing and quickly nodded, “Yes, yes, yes… It won’t happen again.”

Due to a conflict between two children, the teacher rearranged the seating.

When Su Zhen moved over, the surrounding girls asked, “Your na is Shen Yian?”

Su Zhen nodded, feeling sowhat scared of these girls.

But these girls seed quite friendly, smiling as they asked her, “Are you and Su Yan close? Su Yan really stood up for us during lunch! That girl was so annoying!”

Seeing that these girls were on the sa side as her, Su Zhen started venting, “Yes! Look, she even cut off my hair!”

Another girl, curiously asked, “Are you and Su Yan relatives?”

“No!” said Su Zhen, unable to say he was her little uncle, “He… he’s my brother.”

Hearing they weren’t relatives but he was her brother, everyone assud they were childhood sweethearts, envying them imnsely.

They even thought Su Yan, being so cold, wouldn’t be popular with girls, but it turns out he had such a cute childhood sweetheart and he was fiercely protective of her.

With the seat change, the classmates around her beca more friendly, and Su Zhen’s mood slowly improved.

After school, Su Yan took Su Zhen to the company’s styling room and told his stylist in English, “Trim her hair, please.”

The stylist, an English man in his late twenties, crouched down to look at Su Zhen, saying, “You’re so cute, and your hair looks so nice, it’s a pity to cut it.”

Su Zhen didn’t understand what he was saying, but seeing him coming over to touch her hair, she leaned closer into Su Yan’s arms.

Su Yan then turned her around to show the back of her hair was missing.

The stylist imdiately looked sympathetic, and then picked Su Zhen up, placing her on the chair.

Su Zhen looked uneasily at Su Yan, who approached her side, “Getting your hair trimd, everything will be alright.”

All day she had been saying her hair was gone, that it looked ugly, but he didn’t think so at all.

Due to the missing hair, which was about neck-length, the stylist could only cut her hair short.

It was a bob cut, and it seed even cuter than before.

Su Yan touched her short hair and said to the stylist, “We’re heading back.”

Stepping into the elevator, Su Zhen asked, “What were you guys saying? I didn’t understand.”

While pressing the elevator button, Su Yan said, “I’ll teach you when we get back.”

Tomorrow was Saturday, they had a shooting schedule. With Su Yan’s help, Su Zhen finished her howork quickly.

And she even ntioned that the howork here was not as hard as back ho.

There was a shooting over the weekend, both playing the child versions of the male and female lead in an idol drama.

The trailer, once out, garnered praises on how well the two child actors perford – one cool and reserved, the other cute and sweet, winning the internet’s affection.

Su Nian watched her daughter’s performance over and over, feeling both proud and missing her.

“Old Shen, co and see how well your daughter perford.”

Shen Hanxiu glared at her, “Co and see your daughter, she’s wet her pants again.”

While complaining, he adeptly changed the diaper, a skill he had beco quite proficient in.

Su Nian walked over cheerfully and helped him dispose of the dirty diaper, “Old Shen, do you think it’s better if the child doesn’t stay with us?”

Overwheld by the stench of his daughter’s feces, Shen Hanxiu answered reluctantly with a stifled “Mm.”

After Su Zhen left, life was pretty decent.

It had been about a month, but there always seed to be sothing missing in the house, probably the absence of Zhenzhen’s noisy commotion.

And that girl showed no conscience; every ti they called, she seed to be having a lot of fun.

He had hoped she might miss ho and wish to return sooner, but that seed unlikely now.

Su Bao remained as reclusive as before, and it was unclear what he busied himself with all day; thankfully, Xiaoxiao had started babbling, making the house less boring.

When she had nothing to do, she would take her daughter to the company to accompany her father, and when he was free, he would leave the daughter with her and go shopping with so female friends.

The once golden bachelors had now beco super dads.

The sight of Shen Hanxiu mixing formula at the company had beco quite common; and the cool and aloof President Shen holding his baby daughter in the company was almost a daily scene; even when flustered by his darling daughter’s dirty antics, he would grimly change her diaper before attending to his own disheveled state.

Life, then, just flowed quietly onwards…

Three years later…
