Chapter 329: Chapter 233 Are You Still Drinking This Vinegar?

Zhenzhen held Su Bao’s hand, standing next to Su Yuecheng, watching the active Dudu with a beaming smile.

Dudu reached out his chubby little hands towards Su Bao’s face, and Su Bao frowned, dodging away.

Su Zhen then caught Dudu’s tiny hands with a grin and bent down to make funny faces to make her laugh.

Dudu laughed rrily along, looking very cheerful.

Su Nian pulled Ziyan to sit on the sofa and asked on purpose: “Uncle Cheng, what brings you here on your day off?”

“The Hospital’s not busy, but you’re about to give birth and you’re running around?”

“Oh, I was going stir-crazy being cooped up at ho; today was a rare chance to get out for so fresh air.” She paused then asked again: “Did you co over early in the morning?”

Su Yuecheng answered frankly: “No, I stayed over last night.”

Su Nian imdiately turned her head, grinning wickedly at Ziyan, who just avoided eye contact, her ears burning.

Nothing had happened, so why did she feel so guilty?

Feeling sowhat embarrassed and out of place, Ziyan stood up and said: “I’ll go out to buy so groceries.”

Su Yuecheng held her back, “You keep Nian company, I’ll go.” He handed Dudu over to Ziyan’s arms, then strode towards the door.

Seeing him leave, Ziyan felt a release of tension and breathed a sigh of relief.

Zhenzhen brought a pile of toys and placed them on a small carpet nearby; she insisted on playing with Dudu, setting Dudu on the floor mat.

The little one, not very steady sitting up, grabbed a block and started putting it to her mouth, and her body leaned back as she sat.

Su Zhen tugged at Su Bao who was nearby: “Why don’t you go behind and support Dudu sister? What if she falls backwards?”

Su Bao kept a straight face but still got up and sat behind Dudu to prevent her from falling.

While the three children played, Su Nian pulled Ziyan aside and asked her: “Did you agree to Uncle Cheng’s request?”

Ziyan quickly shook her head: “He just ca last night to bring dicine, and stayed because I saw it was raining.”

Su Nian smiled: “Only to deliver dicine, huh…” She refrained from poking further at Ziyan’s exceedingly thin face.

“But Yanyan, love blinds the eye, maybe you just haven’t realized certain things yet.”

Ziyan did not respond. Could it be that she hadn’t realized her own feelings? But she truly had never considered being with Su Yuecheng before, and even now it was just a fondness, a fondness for a good friend…

Or perhaps there were other, more complicated feelings she hadn’t sorted out, hadn’t fully understood…

“Yanyan, the concerns you voiced before were all unfounded; you don’t need to worry about whether you’re worthy of him.”

Let’s not talk about this any further… Her brow furrowed, revealing her genuine internal turmoil.

“Alright, I won’t continue, so things take ti to beco clear.”

At noon, it was Su Yuecheng who cooked the al, and after lunch, he received a call from the Hospital and had to leave for an ergency.

Su Nian played till the afternoon then went ho before Shen Hanxiu’s shift ended.

Just past five o’clock, Shen Hanxiu ca in, and upon seeing the three of different sizes watching TV on the couch, his fatigue seed to vanish.

“An’an, why didn’t you co to help Daddy with his shoes today?”

Su Zhen lay on Su Nian’s legs, looking lethargically at the door, and mumbled weakly: “An’an is too tired today.”

Shen Hanxiu changed his shoes and went over, lifting Su Zhen into his arms: “What made you so tired?”

“I was playing with Dudu sister…” She stopped midway, feeling her mother’s glaring eye on her, realizing she had misspoken, and imdiately covered her mouth, silencing herself.

However, the astute Shen Hanxiu caught on and turned his head to look at Su Nian: “Did you sneak out again?”

Su Nian, focused on the TV, nonchalantly replied: “Just went over to Yanyan’s for a bit.”

“I’ve told you to call to accompany you when you go out, why don’t you ever listen?” He chided her with his words but gently pulled her into his embrace, “Once our little girl is born, I’ll take you wherever you want to go.”

Su Nian turned to look at him, smiling, and then pointed with her index finger to his left chest, cooingly saying, “I want to go here.”

Shen Hanxiu looked down at her, his palm gently touching her face, while his other hand took hers, replying: “You’re already here.”

Su Nian chuckled and pushed him away: “So cheesy!”

Shen Hanxiu looked down, his chin grazing her cheek, “You don’t like it?”

“The children are here!”

Su Zhen covered her eyes upon hearing this: “I didn’t see anything!”

Shen Hanxiu looked around, asking: “Has our son gone out again?”

Su Nian nodded: “He takes after your weird temperant, doesn’t like socializing; he scarcely pays any attention now.”

“What weird temperant?”

Su Nian pouted: “Didn’t you used to ignore ?”

Back in Mai Nan Town, he was much like Su Bao now, aloof and expressionless, his poker-face barely acknowledging her.
