Chapter 123: Chapter 97 In this Lifeti, You Can Only Be With _2
It was Su Zhen who called, and from her gentle tone, it was clear.
After she hung up the phone, she said to him, “Third Young Master Shen, please feel free to do as you like, I’ll be leaving first.”
“Together.”
He pulled her along, or more accurately, he forcefully dragged her to where the car was parked.
He tossed the keys directly to her, then took a seat himself in the passenger seat.
Su Nian opened the car door. She was used to driving the small Audi, and she felt sowhat uneasy handling this luxurious Phantom; her speed was even slower than before.
Shen Hanxiu didn’t say anything, he just reclined the seat, seemingly very exhausted.
Su Nian didn’t know that he had flown back overnight without adjusting to the ti difference, all just to spend Qixi Festival with her.
While waiting for the traffic light, she turned to glance at him and saw that he’d fallen asleep.
Sleeping, he looked much gentler than usual, his features refined and his deanor as serene as jade.
Watching his sleeping face, she beca distracted until the honking of the cars behind her jolted her awake, and she pressed on the accelerator and drove off.
Not wanting him to interact with the children, she drove straight to Yijing Garden and left him at the entrance of his house.
Once the car stopped, he slowly opened his eyes, glanced outside the window with a slight frown and a closed gaze, expressing dissatisfaction, he said, “Did I ask you to take ho?”
Su Nian felt she had made a mistake. This man was by no ans gentle as jade; his sullen face was exceptionally disagreeable.
“I think Third Young Master Shen needs to go ho to rest.”
After he got out of the car, Su Nian handed the car keys to him, then turned to leave.
“Where are you going?”
Su Nian turned back and said, “Does Third Young Master Shen intend to send ho and then have send you back again? I think it’s better for Third Young Master Shen to get so rest soon.”
“How is my ntal state? If you think it’s not good, shall we go inside and try?”
Su Nian rolled her eyes at him. [Teasing] with such seriousness, perhaps only he could do that.
“Co in and sit for a while, I’ll call a driver to take you. It’s not easy to get a cab around here.”
“No thanks, I’ll just borrow the car and drive back myself.” Going in for a sit was like walking into a wolf’s den!
Shen Hanxiu thought it over and gave her the car keys, not forgetting to remind her, “Be careful driving.”
But she deliberately misconstrued his aning: “Don’t worry, I won’t scratch your car.”
Yet he generously said, “Scratching one of your cars a day would take you a long ti, just scratch it if you need to, but don’t crash.”
Su Nian said no more and watched the car leave.
Watching her depart, he was indeed a bit tired and after returning to his room to shower, he went straight to bed.
This Qixi wasn’t all that pleasant, but at least she was there…
Haohao has been a bit down these past two days, probably because Xue Qi had taken her anger out on the child again.
Su Nian brought the three children ho, and in the evening, Xue Qi ca to pick up Haohao.
Seeing his mom co to pick him up, Haohao’s face lit up with a smile.
Even though Xue Qi wasn’t kind to him, he still longed for his mother’s affection, even just her company would bring out his purest and cleanest smile.
While picking him up, Xue Qi said to Haohao, “Why are you always so disobedient? I told you not to be with this kind of woman! She will lead you astray! If you co here again next ti, I’ll disown you!”
“Mom, I won’t anymore,” Haohao said, still looking back reluctantly at Su Nian and the others.
After Haohao left, Su Zhen asked, “Mom, why does Haozi want to go with his mom when she’s so an?”
“Mom hit you too, why do you still want to be with Mom?”
“Does that an Haozi won’t co to play with anymore?”
Su Nian picked her up, “You always tease Haohao, of course, he won’t co to play with you.”
Su Nian said that, thinking Su Zhen would admit her mistake and say she wouldn’t tease Haohao anymore, but Su Zhen stubbornly turned her head and retorted, “Humph, then I’ll just play with Su Bao!”
As she spoke, she suddenly asked another question, “Mom, Uncle Shen is back, why doesn’t he co to see ? I haven’t bullied him…”
“Uncle Shen is busy. Hurry up and go take a bubble bath, go to sleep after that, making money for Mom must be tiring, right?”
The mother and daughter bantered back and forth, and Su Bao, who had bathed early, lay quietly in bed.
This morning, while Su Zhen was at a shoot, he had unexpectedly seen news on TV reporting that his biological father was about to marry another woman.
Good thing he hadn’t acknowledged him. Such a man truly did not deserve to be his and Su Zhen’s father, nor did he deserve their gentle and beautiful mom!
Before bedti, Su Nian, as always, told a story to Su Zhen, who cuddled with Su Bao, perhaps tired from playing during the shoot, quickly fell asleep.
Tucking the children in, the night was as dark and peaceful as ever.
Su Nian fell asleep quickly, casting aside distractions; no one knew what sort of storm was waiting for them the next day…
In the morning, as usual, since Su Nian had to go to work, she woke up the two children early, planning to drop them off at JM first.
She naturally didn’t dare to drive Shen Hanxiu’s Phantom to the company, for fear of people gossiping if seen.
Her small Audi was parked in the yard, so she did not go down to the basent level.
When she reached the first floor and opened the elevator, Su Nian realized sothing was amiss.
Many people were outside the hall, a dense crowd making it impossible to see the way.
Seeing many holding microphones with logos and caras, Su Nian realized these people were reporters.
She tentatively took a couple of steps outside with the children, wondering if sothing had happened to the building, otherwise, why would there be so many reporters?
Su Zhen, also a bit scared, hid behind Su Nian: “Mom, why are there so many people?”
Before Su Nian could answer, the crowd outside sward into the lobby, flashlights flickering one after another, countless microphones were thrust forward…
