534 Filial piety

Jing Chen did not seem to expect that it would be Su Wan. His hand that was working paused for a mont before he looked up in surprise. He quickly got up and walked around Su Wan. He held her hand and asked, “This is the first ti you’ve co to the company to look for

since you returned to the country. Why? Has the sun risen from the west?”

Su Wan found it funny. “If I co to your company every day, I’m afraid you won’t be able to do your job.”

When Jing Chen was working, Su Wan had always adhered to the principle of not disturbing him if she could. Apart from coming over once or twice to take a look, she did not want Jing Chen to delay his work because of her.

“Not to that extent,” Jing Chen retorted. “What if I’m more motivated to work… with you by my side?”

Jing Chen wanted to say that “work to provide for you”, but when he thought of the scale of the Su Corporation, the words that were about to co out of his mouth imdiately changed.

He really didn’t dare to say this anymore. The last ti he said this, Su Wan definitely didn’t want him to feel too disappointed, so she didn’t say anything about the Su Corporation.

“Alright.” Su Wan smiled and beca serious. “Let’s get down to business. I thought of another breakthrough today. I believe I’ll find sothing.”

Su Wan imdiately told Jing Chen about the inspiration she had obtained from Xia Jing. Then, she took out desserts, opened them, and placed them on the table. She handed the spoon to Jing Chen. “I know you don’t like candy, so I specially made sugar-free ones. Do you want to try them?”

She had co to look for Jing Chen today purely to give him a dessert, but when she thought of Jiang Xin, since it concerned Jing Chen, she could not let him follow her original train of thought like a headless fly.

Now, other than Jiang Xin, there was also the person behind Jiang Xin. The enemy was in the open and she was in the dark. It was better to be careful in all investigations. What if Jing Chen and she still followed their original train of thought and fell into that person’s trap?

After Jing Chen heard Su Wan’s words, he fell into deep thought. He took the things from Su Wan. “I’ll get Zhao Lin to do it imdiately.”

Su Wan did not say anything. Jing Chen quickly understood her intentions.

In the end, Jing Chen finished the desserts that Su Wan made. Seeing this, Su Wan was very relieved. “My efforts weren’t wasted.”

“What Wan wan made was very delicious.” Jing Chen put down his spoon and looked at Su Wan gently.

“Of course. After all, the business in my shop has never stopped until now, unless it’s man-made.” Su Wan was very proud. The “man-made” she was talking about was of course referring to either they took the initiative to close the shop or soone ca to cause trouble.

However, most of them were the forr.

Su Wan was about to leave after cleaning up the ss. She still had to go back to see her parents!

Jing Chen looked at her series of actions and was a little surprised. “You’re leaving already? You’ve only been here for less than two hours?” It was as if it would be unnecessary for her to stay a second longer.

She left in such a hurry. What was she in a hurry for?

Su Wan smiled at Jing Chen. “I’m busy. I have no choice.”

Hearing her words, Jing Chen looked at Su Wan inquisitively. “Is sending

sothing considered a kind of ‘business’?”

Jing Chen was just joking at first. He was waiting for Su Wan’s explanation. It couldn’t be that she was so busy that she didn’t even have ti to accompany him, right?

Unexpectedly, Su Wan really frowned and thought for a while before admitting it…

“If you want to think like that, it’s not impossible. After all, I miss my parents. I’m going to look for them now.” Su Wan smiled again, not feeling that there was anything wrong with her words, and she automatically ignored Jing Chen’s expression.

Jing Chen:”…”

It turned out that he and Su Wan understood the “busy” completely differently.

But Su Wan was going to see his in-laws. Would it be inappropriate for him not to go? Jing Chen started to think again.

Su Wan packed her things and threw them into the trash can. She did not hear Jing Chen’s reply. She looked over in confusion and saw Jing Chen’s thoughtful expression. Recalling what she had just said, she imdiately understood what Jing Chen was thinking. “There’s no need to be anxious. I’m just going to visit them. After all, Brother is usually busy with the company. If the two elders stay at ho, I have to be filial, right?”
