Ethan was flabbergasted but he was proud as well. He was sure that these people were making things up when they accused Erika of hitting Jasmine. Although he would be even more proud of Erika if she actually hit Jasmine with the walking stick.
Erika swiftly brought out her phone and pressed play on the screen. The conversation that took place voiced out. Jasmine’s face fell in terror and anger. When did she start that recording? She asked to herself. The recording played until the end. Erika looked at Jasmine with a smile.
"I was the one who did that but if you want so more, I can definitely deliver it", Erika offered to Jasmine whose hand were still on her struck cheek. "This was exactly what I ant when I said you are pathetic. Your pathetic little acts won’t work".
"How dare you slap my daughter?" Mr Davis questioned Erika with a fierce look. He didn’t want to bring the recording into the topic.
"And why can’t she? Your filthy daughter deserved if for accusing her and besides, I don’t see anything wrong with it. She was only proving herself right", Ethan quickly defended.
"How can you believe what she is saying, Ethan? This woman has trapped you just like she has trapped so many n out there. You just can’t see it", Jasmine said softly like she had been wronged badly.
"So should I believe your lies then? Listen here, if you ever talk like that about Erika again then I will make sure you don’t see the next daylight", Ethan threatened. Jasmine and Mr Davis imdiately kept mute because they knew that Ethan could fulfill that threat.
Erika stared at Jasmine who looked so pitiful. Her hair was unkept, tear stricken face with an imprinted red palm on her cheek. Erika wanted to be pitiful for her but after rembering Jasmine’s threat earlier, she ca to realize that this woman was desperate and she can definitely harm her but with Ethan beside her, she was sure that they won’t be able to go scot free.
"Ethan, let’s go. If we stayed here any longer, we might catch Jasmine’s sickness that is if she is really sick", Erika announced and she hooked her arm with Ethan’s.
Jasmine glared at their entwined hands as she has always done but Erika only tightened her hand with Ethan’s when she saw Jasmine’s face.
The couple turned their heels and headed to the exit of the mansion. They entered their car and drove off.
"That bitch!!! Am telling you dad, I am going to kill her!!" She declared to her father who was also red with anger.

"So where are we going next?" Erika asked Ethan who had a annoyed expression plastered on his face.
"My mum was the one who called," he faced her. "She wants to invite us to dinner at the mansion".
Erika’s mouth ford the shape of O and she nodded. "Okay, I would love to spend so ti with your family", she placed her hands on top of his. After so seconds passed, Erika asked. "Ethan, you said you have been friends with my brothers from childhood, well then how co i don’t rember your face?"
"I don’t know either, probably because you were planning on how to leave your family and go make that bastard fall in love with you", he replied with sarcasm.
"Hey, don’t mock . I was stupid back then but let’s forget about all that. I don’t want to rember it", she declared and focused her attention on the tall buildings and beautiful trees.
"Am sorry. I didn’t an to remind you of that," Ethan apologized when he noticed that she had turned quiet.
Erika shook her head, "It’s okay".
"I travelled back then to study and you were quite young so it’s natural that you don’t rember ", he explained and she nodded again.
Ethan stared at her face to be sure that she was alright, she gave him a smile to assure him and he relaxed. They didn’t bring up the topic about Jasmine or the Harts, they just chatted from ti to ti until they arrived at the Anderson family mansion.
Erika stared at the place in awe. The first ti she ca here, she had been drunk, thinking that it was two mansions because of the booze she had.
"Let’s go", Said Ethan. They walked in and the servants they t on the way greeted them respectfully. They were quite surprised that their scary boss was bringing a woman ho for the first ti.
"Master Ethan", Butler Benjamin greeted Ethan who nodded at him. "Madam Erika", he greeted Erika who also nodded at him.
"Where is my mother?" Ethan asked the butler.
"She is in the kitchen ", the butler answered. Ethan grabbed Erika’s hand and they both went to the kitchen. The more they walked around the mansion, the more Erika continued to stare in awe. This place is too big, she thought to herself.
The interior decoration was just too perfect, having different color aesthetics that blended well on the sky blue walls. She continue staring until they reached the kitchen.
Just as the butler said, Mrs Anderson was indeed in the kitchen but surprisingly Mr Anderson was there too, cutting the vegetables. Both Ethan and Erika were surprised to see the scene.
"Dad, mom". Ethan walked to his mother and pecked her on both cheeks. He went to his father and gave him a questioning look.
"Aunt, Uncle". Erika greeted also. She pecked both the old couple on their cheeks. Mrs Anderson gave her a sweet smile.
"Dad, what are you doing in the kitchen?" Ethan asked his father who focused on the onions he was cutting sluggishly.
"Are you blind? Can’t you see that am busy?" Mr Anderson questioned back with an annoyed tone while squinting his eyes repeatedly because the onion was starting to burn.
Mrs Anderson shook her head at her dramatic husband. She had declared she would invite the both of them for dinner but her husband here offered his help.
"Uncle, let take it from here", Erika offered while washing her hands. Mr Anderson’s eyes lit up because he has seen his savior. He imdiately handed the knife over to Erika and she started chopping.
"Thank you so much dear", he appreciated and took off his apron.
"You have no sha, you are making our visitor work", Mrs Anderson scoffed while glaring at her husband.
"Hey, I didn’t tell her to help now did I? She simply offered and I agreed," he gave the excuse and grabbed Ethan’s hand to escape before his wife could nag him again.
