"You have the nerve to run away from here," Felicia growled as she tried to grab Erika by the hair but the bodyguard wouldn’t let her.
"Mam, please let take her to her room," he said as he continued to move.
Felicia glared at Erika as she watched her being taken away by the bodyguard.
"Where’s Adrian?" She questioned the other one.
"I think he went to distract the intruders that just arrived," he replied with his head bowed down.
"What intruders?" Felicia asked with furrowed eyebrows.
The bodyguard ended up explaining everything to her and she gasped in shock.
"They are here? That ans they already know about this place," she stated as fear gripped her. If they found out about that place, that only ant that they had inford the police, she thought to herself.
"Perhaps mam, but we are not sure of anything as of now. The boss is there and hopefully, they won’t get any clue that would lead them here," said the bodyguards. Their lives were also at stake since the job they did was like a ticking ti bomb. Any single mistake and it’s death. At this mont, it was better to get imprisoned than to die but none of them are lucky enough to end up in jail.
When Adrian had just started in the club, they only had one boss, Viper. But when Adrian made it bigger from the gambling, Viper decided to lend him so of his loyal n whom he could trust and rely on at any mont. But since they’ve kidnapped Erika, they’ve noticed that Adrian seems to be going psycho.
From what they have heard, they could tell that Adrian wasn’t a loyal husband himself and he mistreated Erika. But what could they do? They were just ordinary n whose job was to follow orders.

Inside Erika’s room, the maid, Iza, was attending to her gunshot wound. The maid applied the spirits and waited for Erika to flinch in pain but nothing happened. Iza applied so more spirits and pressed down on it but still, nothing happened.
She raised her head only to find Erika staring into space, blankly. Her lips had turned dry and her eyes looked plain. She suddenly felt sorry for the poor woman.
"If it hurts too much mam, please let know," said Iza but Erika still didn’t reply to her. The room grew silent with every second, and the atmosphere turned heavy, making Iza uncomfortable.
Suddenly, the wall-like door opened and soone ordered, "Get out!"
Iza turned back only to find her boss, Adrian and without being told twice, she packed up the first aid kit and was about to take it along with her but Adrian said, "Leave it." She vigorously nodded her head and left the room.
Adrian walked closer to Erika’s bed and frowned when he saw her plain eyes, exactly what the maid had seen as well.
"Erika sweetheart," he called as attempted to place his palm on hers but she removed hers just in ti. "You won’t let touch you huh?" Adrian asked with a smirk.
Erika raised her head to look at him as a single tear dropped from her eyes. Her heart felt heavy, heavy due to the thought that she wouldn’t be here by now if she had been alert and her brothers had co to get her, but since they still hadn’t arrived, she could only wonder what Adrian had done to them.
On the inside, she wanted to tear Adrian apart. Shred him into tiny pieces and dumped him sowhere. But on the outside, she looked weak and had no single ounce of strength to do any of that. She had already lost too much blood.
"Don’t glare at like Erika. You brought this upon yourself," said Adrian as he opened the first aid kit. "I keep telling you that none of this would have happened if you had just agreed to remarry back when my father had suggested it. But no, you lied that you were already married to Ethan," he added. He threw away the cotton wool that the maid, Iza had used earlier and tore apart another one, applying so spirits before continuing. "By now, we should have already given birth to our first baby."
"You are delusional," he heard her remark.
Adrian chuckled before he replied, "I won’t say delusional. It’s more like being persistent. If I’m not persistent, then you would have been with Ethan by now and we wouldn’t be spending this much ti together."
When he was about to place the cotton swabs on her leg, she managed to use the good leg and kicked him off the bed. "You have no right to touch ," she spat out with a glare.
Adrian, who was on the floor, smirked before he got back up from the ground. "I must say, you do have the strength to want to play this morning," he comnted but still chose to persist by sitting back on the bed as if Erika had not just tried to kick him out just now. "You didn’t even bother to ask what I’ve done to your brothers. Don’t you want to know if they are alive or dead?"
Erika’s eyes snapped towards him with a glare that was so sharp that it cut through a block into halves. Adrian would be lying if he said he didn’t feel quite intimidated by that glare that sent chills down his spine.
"If you dare harm my brothers, I will kill you," she promised.
When she saw Adrian smile at her, she frowned.
"Will you relax? I didn’t kill any of them only because the police arrived later," said Adrian. "And I couldn’t kill them only because if I did, I would raise more suspicion towards ." He spoke as if killing had already turned into a habit for him and he could easily do it without any remorse, which was true since he was able to murder one of his n in cold blood.
