At the Davis mansion, Jasmine got ready to leave but was suddenly stopped by her father, asking,
"Where are you going?"
Jasmine halted her steps while her heart jumped in fear before she turned around to face her father who was waiting patiently for her to answer him.
"I’m going out with my friends", she replied but unfortunately for her, Mr Davis didn’t seem to buy her excuse.
After so minutes passed with her father staring at her intently, he finally said,
"When you co back, let’s plan on how to make you the daughter-in-law of the Andersons".
"Yes Dad", after saying that, Jasmine turned towards the door and left the mansion. She entered her car and drove away.
Jasmine arrived at the restaurant where she and Andrew t days ago and searched for him before spotting him at the counter, ordering a drink.
"What’s up?" she playfully nudged his shoulder to grab his attention.
"For a mont, I thought you wouldn’t co. What took you so long?" He asked her.
Jasmine sighed before she replied,
"It’s my father again".
The woman behind the counter handed Andrew the drink he ordered which he collected and the both of them went to grab a chair.
"Your father again? What? He isn’t letting you go out?" He asked with a confused expression.
"Of course, I can go out, I am a grown woman", she replied. "It’s just that he wanted to do sothing for him so that’s why", she added.
Even though the both of them had just gotten to know each other, she had grown oddly comfortable around Andrew. Whenever she was alone with thoughts, she would always reach out to him which had drawn them quite closer to each other.
"I see", Andrew nodded at her words before he offered, "Wanna go out?"
"Are we not already out?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I an, let’s go out clubbing, party, and have fun".
Jasmine contemplated for a while and agreed, then the both of them stepped out of the restaurant to head to the club.
Both of them rode Andrew’s car instead while Jasmine inford the driver from the mansion to co pick up her car.
At Vibrant Nights Club, the both of them stepped inside and the crowd welcod them. People were dancing to the music, couples making out, and single people just ca to booze and watch the naked girls on display.
"Let’s grab a seat", said Andrew as he led her to an empty booth. "So tell , why is your father always scolding you?" He suddenly asked which earned him a surprise look from Jasmine because he had not expected that kind of question.
"Wait first", she said and called a waiter over. "Serve us your best hot drinks please", she requested and the waiter nodded and left to go get her order. Facing Andrew, she said, "Let’s have this talk when the drink gets here".
Andrew nodded and they both waited for their drink. The waiter arrived in less than 5 minutes with a bucket full of ice with two alcoholic drinks in it.
"It seems that you are planning on getting drunk tonight huh?" Andrew wondered before taking a bottle for himself.
Jasmine took a sip from hers and cringed when she felt the burn in her throat before replying,
"You were the one who suggested having fun so why not go all the way".
"All the way?" Andrew asked with a raised eyebrow, making Jasmine chuckle with embarrassnt.
"Not that kind, anyway, what was your question again?" she asked to change the topic.
"I asked, why is your father always strict with you?" He repeated.
Jasmine took another sip from her bottle,
"Well, that’s because he wants what is best for and our family", her words slurred, which indicated that she was getting drunk.
"And what is this "best" thing that he wants from you?" Andrew asked her as he air-quoted the "best".
Jasmine smirked before answering, "He wants to get married to the man I love".
Andrew’s ears sharpened when he heard she was in love. He suddenly felt a pang of jealousy for the man whom she loved.
"But..." she continued, "he wants to get married into his family because he is rich and he wants to use their riches to strengthen our business", she added.
"What is his na?" He asked her.
"Ethan, My Ethan Anderson", she replied with a smile as if rembering his face.
Andrew knew Ethan Anderson since they lived in the sa city where billboards that were filled with his pictures would be displayed all over the place.
"Why do you love Ethan Anderson?" He suddenly asked, making Jasmine look up from her bottle to stare at him before she parted her lips to speak,
"Ethan and I have been friends since we were children, he was always there for , he would protect from my father’s rage towards when I was little even though he couldn’t do much", sighing, she continued as raged consud her, "but all that changed when Erika ca into his life. Can you believe the man I love sent to jail for a year?" She blurted out.
Andrew was not at all surprised by her revelation, he had done his research on her but had decided to question her so that he could hear her side of the story.
Jasmine emptied her bottle before ordering the waiter to bring more.
"Why did he send you to jail?" he asked her.
"I hired so thugs to rape her and share the lewd video online", she replied and expected a surprised look on Andrew’s face sadly, but his expression was blank. "Let guess, you’ve heard about it already?" She asked him and he nodded.
"But do you think that your actions were right? To ask thugs to rape your fellow woman and ruin her reputation?" He asked her the question she had been avoiding to ask herself.
