“Sir?” Age saw that Ye Qilan remained silent and started to worry.
Ye Qilan moved to sit on the edge of the bed, touching the bloodstains that stained the sheets.
The blood hadn’t completely dried yet, and where his fingers grazed was slightly sticky.

Mr. Ye called Age aside and asked, “Has Sisi said anything yet?”

Just as Age was contemplating whether to offer a few words of solace, Ye Qilan finally moved. He turned towards Age, his voice rough with despair, “Any news of her yet?”
Age shook his head. “We’re still searching. We’ll find her, sir. Don’t worry. Miss Su seems to be a woman with great fortune. She will live a long life.”
“Keep an eye on Cao Zhen.” Ye Qilan said as he left the master bedroom and closed the door behind him.
Age, taken aback, realized he indeed overlooked Cao Zhen.
He imdiately ordered his n to keep close watch on the Cao family and followed Ye Qilan downstairs.
Relieved to see Ye Qilan finally acting his normal self, Age felt as if a heavy weight had been lifted from his chest.
Age hinted to Xiaole to, “Go clean up the master bedroom.”
The pervasive scent of blood in the room brought bad luck.
“Order everyone not to touch the master bedroom.” Ye Qilan’s voice was low.
Not daring to object, Age relayed the instructions to everyone and followed Ye Qilan closely: “Sir, are we going out?”
Ye Qilan silently got into the car without responding.
Age seated himself in the driver’s seat and asked again: “Going to The Red House?”
“The Cao family. I’ll take a nap, wake when we get there.” Ye Qilan closed his eyes. The deep red color of the blood still flickered in his vision, refusing to fade.
The blood scent hadn’t dissipated either. It was as if it had perated his organs, seeping into his bones and blood.
