Su Hongxing found Cao Shiyu’s anger to be extrely amusing.
She asked, with a slight smile, “Mr. Cao, should I move into the Cao’s house if I agree to be your adopted daughter?”
Cao Zhen was taken aback before he replied with a laugh, “You can live wherever you want.”
As long as Su Hongxing stops rejecting him, he is willing to do anything for her.
“But Shiyu has made it very clear, it’s either or her. As long as she’s around, I will never be able to step foot into the Cao’s house. So, why would I bring such humiliation upon myself?” Su Hongxing queried while flashing her eyes subtly.
This seed puzzling.
Her encounters with Cao Zhen had been scarce.
So, why would he want to adopt her?
Cao Shiyu is Cao Zhen’s precious daughter, why would he hurt her for soone unrelated like her?!
If she had sothing he could exploit, it would make sense.

“You don’t have to mind what Shiyu said. As long as you agree to be my adopted daughter, I’ll provide whatever you want.”
Upon Cao Zhen’s proclamation, everyone present was rendered speechless.
Ye Qilan felt a sinking feeling in his heart, suddenly sensing that this wasn’t a good situation.
With Cao Zhen’s power and influence in Taicheng, controlling Su Hongxing would beco difficult if she had his backing.
“If you don’t want to be with Qilan, I can take you away right now!” Cao Zhen threw another tempting bait.
Su Hongxing’s heart stirred.

Su Hongxing looked at Ye Qilan and then at Cao Shiyu.
In the end, she looked at Cao Zhen, eting his focused gaze with a smile.
Cao Zhen’s gaze seed to not only rest on her but also look past her towards soone else…
Upon witnessing Su Hongxing’s rare smile, he was reminded of another woman. A woman, who, when she smiled, was equally gorgeous. It’s been many years and yet, he thought he would never see such a smile again. And then Su Hongxing appeared.
Suppressing his turbulent emotions, Cao Zhen gently patted Su Hongxing’s shoulder, “Child, think about it carefully. If you beco my daughter, I assure a life of peace and prosperity.”
Su Hongxing slowly nodded, “I will reconsider.”
At that mont, she suddenly found the idea of becoming Cao Zhen’s adopted daughter less repulsive.
The thought of Cao iyu, Zhou Luhe, and Cao Shiyu being forced to accept her as a part of the “Cao family” was incredibly amusing to her.
Before Cao Zhen left, Su Hongxing accompanied him to the door.
With no one around, she voiced her doubt, “Why do you want to adopt ?”
There must be a reason why Cao Zhen wanted to adopt her.
Strangely enough, she deeply despised the won of the Cao family, but she didn’t seem to harbor such strong hatred towards Cao Zhen.
After looking at Su Hongxing for a while, Cao Zhen replied, “You should go back. You need to take care of your health. It doesn’t matter if Qilan doesn’t appreciate you. In the future, I’ll help you find a husband better than him.”
