Chapter 239: The Past is Gonei
Su Hongxing spent a whole day trying to make sense of her previous life, but couldn’t figure out why she had that strange dream about spring.
If only she had dread about it, she could have comforted herself that it was just a dream, not to be taken seriously.

She watched his face transfixed as silent tears slid down her cheeks.
This was the man she once loved. He was within a stone’s throw from her, as if she could reach out and touch him.
But she knew, what’s past is past. With the waning of life, all the love, hate, greed, and obsessiveness ceased to exist.
She was still Su Hongxing, but he was no longer the Ye Si who loved her.

Ye Qilan got up early the next morning. He wanted to wake up Su Hongxing but on seeing her dark circles, he couldn’t bear to do so and instead picked her up.
Su Hongxing slowly opened her groggy sleep-filled eyes and saw Ye Qilan. She murmured softly.
Ye Qilan, as though electrocuted, stood rooted to the spot. He had heard her right, she had just called him “Aqi”. No one had ever called him that before, but he found it congenial, as if there was soone who once called him fondly with that na.
Su Hongxing ca to her senses at the mont the words slipped from her lips, and seeing herself still in Ye Qilan’s arms, she struggled to get down: “Don’t you think I’m heavy?”
In her previous life, she was always thin and had never been this fat. So, there were many differences between these two lives.
Ye Qilan looked at Su Hongxing blankly, and asked awkwardly: “What did you just call ? Say it again.”
“Did I? I can’t rember.” Su Hongxing replied indifferently.
No matter how the past turned out, neither of them were who they used to be, and she wouldn’t fool herself anymore.
In her previous life, Beichuan died because of her. Perhaps marrying Beichuan in this life would make up for the love debt of her previous life.
Or perhaps, she should stay away from Ye Qilan, and stay away from all these rights and wrongs…
“Are you sure?” Ye Qilan stared at Su Hongxing: “Call Aqi again.”
But Su Hongxing said, half-smiling half-teasing, “Don’t you find it strange that such a na is used to call you? If you want to hear it, find soone else, I don’t have ti to ss around with you.”
As she attempted to climb back into bed, she was pulled down again by Ye Qilan.
