"When your child is born, they can play with our two kids, just like when we were young. They’ll go to school together, grow up together, childhood sweethearts."

Su Hongxing touched Qiao Qiao’s belly.

"Speaking of childhood, I recently found a photo from when we were in elentary school. Let show you."

Qiao Qiao said as she excitedly took out an old photograph from her wallet.

In the photo, Qiao Qiao and Su Hongxing looked young and innocent, two little girls standing close together, smiling brightly at the cara. The photo was very old, with yellowed corners and so faded spots, showing its age.

"When was this taken? I don’t rember this at all." Su Hongxing took the photo and the more she looked at it, the more she felt ti had passed swiftly. In the blink of an eye, they were both mothers now.

"I think it was around the ti we were about to graduate from elentary school, and it was spring. If you like it, you can keep this photo." Qiao Qiao smiled gently.

Without giving it much thought, Su Hongxing agreed happily, "Alright, I’ll keep it. Whenever you want to see it, I’ll show it to you."

When they were old and gray, reminiscing about the past together would be a wonderful thing, wouldn’t it?

She chatted a little more with Qiao Qiao before taking the photo and heading to her room to rest.

As she reached the door, Qiao Qiao suddenly called out to her, "Su, Ye Qilan will be back soon, so don’t worry. He loves you so much; he wouldn’t bear to be away from you for long."

Su Hongxing nodded, "I know, so I’m not worried at all. I’ll wait for him to co back. Before he returns, I’ll help him safeguard Jufeng Group."

"You’ve always been my role model, and I believe you’ll always be happy. Su, goodnight." Qiao Qiao saw Su Hongxing out of the bedroom, her smile serene.

Su Hongxing replied with a goodnight and returned to her own bedroom.

She felt that Qiao Qiao’s words were particularly gentle tonight, sowhat different from before. Where exactly, she couldn’t pinpoint.

It wasn’t until the next day when she ca ho from work, not seeing Qiao Qiao anywhere, and unable to reach her by phone, that she realized sothing was wrong.

In Qiao Qiao’s bedroom, she found a letter. It was a ssage from Qiao Qiao, written in her elegant handwriting: "Su, I’ve left. This decision was made so suddenly that I didn’t know whether to tell you. I know you dislike farewells, so I left without saying goodbye. I didn’t plan to leave at this ti, but my parents insisted on taking abroad when they found out I was pregnant..."

After reading the letter, Su Hongxing sat in a daze for quite a while.

She took out the photo Qiao Qiao had given her the previous day, recalling Qiao Qiao’s words, and tears welled up in her eyes. She should have asked more; maybe she could have made Qiao Qiao stay.

Qiao Qiao never liked going abroad, yet this ti she left without a word, under the pressure of her parents, as a reluctant choice.

Having never traveled far, how would Qiao Qiao adapt to life abroad?

After being somber for a long while, she finally rembered to call Ye Shiqing.

She thought Ye Shiqing would be furious about Qiao Qiao’s departure, but to her surprise, it was the opposite. He responded with just "Got it" before ending the call.

"Since Aunt Qiao accompanied her, you don’t need to worry. Qiao Qiao is a mother now and has her own path to take. You can’t accompany her forever." Liu Qingyin comforted Su Hongxing, seeing her unhappy.
