Chapter 1379: Chapter 1379: Choice (5)
Su Hongxing froze for a mont before replying, “Just focus on driving, stop talking.”
Ye Qilan was smooth-tongued as ever; no matter what he said, he always sounded justified.
But before they even returned to Qingmu Garden, she received a call from Jiang Su. She pressed the answer button, and Xiao Ji’s voice ca through the line: “Amou, the doctor says my injuries are too severe and I need proper nourishnt. Can you make so soup and bring it to tomorrow? It’s been so long since I’ve had your soup…”
Su Hongxing instinctively glanced at Ye Qilan.
Ye Qilan happened to be looking at her too, his expression a mixture of mockery and disdain. Under his gaze, she didn’t dare to agree.
Then, Ye Qilan grabbed her phone and hung up the call, speaking indifferently, “Xiao Ji is crafty and calculating. If you agree to his request, you’ll be falling into his trap. I haven’t had your soup in ages either. Why should he get the chance to drink it?”
“Eavesdropping on my calls like that seems rather impolite,” said Su Hongxing hesitantly.
“Bla your voice for being so loud. Do you think I actually want to listen?” Ye Qilan pressed down on the accelerator, driving back to Qingmu Garden at top speed.
After getting out of the car, he dragged Su Hongxing into the living room.
Su Hongxing didn’t understand what he was up to. “Just say whatever it is directly. Because of you, I didn’t accomplish a single thing today. It’s only half past four, and I’m already ho.”
Sotis, Ye Qilan made her feel like he was nothing more than a pretty facade.
Ye Qilan pushed Su Hongxing down onto the sofa, leaning over her. “Between and Xiao Ji, who would you choose? I want the truth.”
Su Hongxing didn’t expect Ye Qilan to be so blunt. She stamred, “I—I’m married to you. What choice is there to make?”
“Oh, so what you an is, if you weren’t married, you could take your ti choosing, huh?” Ye Qilan sneered.
Perfect. This shaless, unfaithful woman—seems like her heart is already wandering elsewhere?
Su Hongxing’s face turned crimson. “That’s not what I ant! Why are you deliberately twisting my words?”
Blasted Ye Qilan—can’t he just have a normal conversation?
“Fine, then explain it to ,” Ye Qilan sat down beside her. “We’ve got ti. Take it slow.”
Su Hongxing took a deep breath. “What I an is, I’m already a married woman. I would never do sothing immoral, so you don’t need to worry.”
But how could she simply ignore another Ye Qilan entirely? No matter what, the two of them had shared such a beautiful past.
“What we’re discussing now is how to make a decision. Choosing , or choosing him! Don’t use marriage as an excuse. I just want to hear your truest thoughts.” Ye Qilan’s gaze bore heavily into Su Hongxing. “Have you realized you’re utterly indecisive? You’ve never once told you love .”
“Alright, then let turn the question around. If there were two of standing in front of you, which one would you choose?” Su Hongxing threw the challenge back at Ye Qilan.
Ye Qilan was stunned for a mont before replying, “You’re one of a kind. There couldn’t possibly be two of you.”
Su Hongxing laughed coldly at his response. “That’s why I said ‘if.’ If you were in my position and faced the sa situation, which Su Hongxing would you choose?”
Ye Qilan couldn’t fathom such a scenario—two Su Hongxings? The re thought was unsettling.
“Two of them, both Su Hongxing, both —which would you pick?” Su Hongxing pressed him again.
