Ye Shiqing had another eting later; his daily schedule was filled to the brim. He felt that he simply did not have any spare ti to devote to a woman who didn’t want to see him.

The phone rang; Ye Shiqing glanced at it and saw it was Shen Ze calling. He knew Shen Ze was pressuring him.
“You seem very busy,” Qiao Qiao spoke, “Ye Shiqing, I’ve thought through about the last ti. Go on with your matters. Please don’t co again in the future; it wouldn’t look good for others to see.” With those words, she closed the door.
Turning around, she saw Su Hongxing standing behind her.
She had thought Su Hongxing would laugh at her, but surprisingly, Su Hongxing said, “I won’t offer any more advice about the matter between you and Ye Shiqing. After all, it’s your personal affair.”
She had never blad Ye Shiqing. After all, the person he was up against was her and Ye Qilan; Ye Shiqing was just another victim of the sche. Although she held no grudge, it seed she couldn’t regard Ye Shiqing as a trustworthy friend anymore.
She thought she could empathize with so of Qiao Qiao’s feelings.
Ye Shiqing stood at the door for a long while before finally walking away with a loss of interest.
Old Liu and Shen Ze saw Ye Shiqing descending and exchanged a glance, finally feeling reassured.
Even though they were Ye Shiqing’s forr comrades-in-arms, they had no place comnting on his love life. However, the woman Ye Shiqing was interested in happened to be Qiao Qiao.
Moreover, given Ye Shiqing’s sensitive identity, if his personal life were indiscreet and soone got hold of any incriminating evidence, his political career would co to an abrupt end.
After getting into the car, Ye Shiqing closed his eyes to rest for a few minutes, then suddenly asked, “Shen Ze, any leads on the matter I asked you to investigate?”
“Nothing yet. Wen Beibei claims her sister was kidnapped; have you never doubted the authenticity of her words?” Shen Ze looked at Ye Shiqing.
“I believe Xiaobei isn’t lying. Her relationship with Baobao is very close; she wouldn’t use Baobao’s personal safety for gain,” Ye Shiqing said with a light frown on his brow.
He just couldn’t understand why soone would target Wen Baobao. He and Wen Baobao hadn’t seen each other for many years, so why would that person be so sure he would betray his promise to Ye Qilan for Wen Baobao?
“A fox will eventually show its tail. I’m still tracking down the lead. Right now, we need to figure out who took Wen Baobao; only then we have a chance to save her.” Shen Ze patted Ye Shiqing’s shoulder, “Being anxious is useless in this situation; haste won’t help when we don’t have any leads at all, and Wen Beibei can’t provide any useful clues.”
