After Emily Sterling knocked Chloe Simpson unconscious, she took out her phone and called Liam Thompson.
Liam Thompson was already working at the hospital and rushed over as soon as he got the call.

"Emily, what exactly happened between you two? Why on earth would you knock Chloe out like this?"
Liam couldn’t help but ask again.
"Liam, I’m out of options. Do you know how foolish this child is? If I had known, I wouldn’t have asked you to check any data for her. That way, she wouldn’t have known soone tampered during Alexander Johnson’s surgery."
"She wouldn’t have gone to report to the Old Sir of the Johnson Family. Today, when the Johnson Family people ca, she insisted on staying in the ICU to care for Alexander Johnson. She even swore to that Old Sir of the Johnson Family that if Alexander woke up, she’d leave willingly, and if he didn’t co around, she’d die with him."

Liam gave a few more reassuring words before leaving.
After he left, Emily checked the ti, thinking it was quite late and that Chloe should sleep until the next morning, but she couldn’t help but keep watch in the living room.
At eight o’clock the next morning, Chloe finally woke up.
She opened her eyes, found herself at ho, and rembered everything that had happened before she fainted. Hurriedly, she threw off the covers and ran to the door.
When she got to the door to open it, she realized it was locked from the outside.
"Mom, open the door! Why did you lock in the house?"
Chloe quickly shouted towards the door.
Upon hearing Chloe’s voice, Emily woke up: "Chloe, you’re awake. I’m sorry, I absolutely can’t watch you do sothing foolish, I won’t open the door for you, so don’t even think about it."
"I’ve already arranged for leave at the hospital for you. From today, you don’t have to go to work. I’ll be here keeping watch every day, and I’ll let you out when Alexander Johnson awakens."

Chloe continued to knock on the door and plead with Emily.
"Chloe, stop wasting your energy. I said I’ll let you out only when Alexander Johnson wakes up."
Emily had long made up her mind, she wouldn’t let Chloe out no matter what.
"Mom, please don’t be like this, I’m begging you!"
"Mom, please let out, I promise I’ll listen to you and be obedient after this is all over. I’ll do whatever you ask to do."
"Mom, think about it, Alexander Johnson did so much for before, and now he’s lying in the ICU with his life uncertain, how can I abandon him?"
For the entire day, Chloe shouted until her throat was dry.
But no matter what, Emily just wouldn’t let her out.
In the end, she had no choice but to threaten to harm herself.
"Mom, are you really not going to let out? No matter what, you won’t let out?"
"Mom, if you don’t let out, I’ll die here."
Chloe knew Emily couldn’t bear to see sothing happen to her, so she used herself as a bargaining chip.
"Fine, for a man you’re going to risk your life against ? You’re really going to do this to after all the hard work I’ve gone through raising you? Alright, if you dare, then go die."
To her surprise, even after hearing this, Emily remained unmoved.
Chloe’s phone had also been confiscated by Emily, leaving her with no choice but to harm herself.
She looked around the room, finding no sharp objects, so she simply smashed a glass and used the shards to make a cut on her wrist’s main artery.
