Kevin rolled over to the edge of the bed and sat up. He stared at the desk which had on it two silver platters that had contained so snacks and tea but were now empty.
"And why would you say that?" Kevin asked with his back facing Amy.
"Dad said you'll be tutoring for a week, depending on how the aptitude test turns out on Friday. Is this true?" Amy crawled towards him and wrapped her arms around him from behind while resting her head on his broad back.
"Yes," He replied truthfully and added. "But if I can't do my job well, I see no reason why I should keep staying here."
"You're weird," Her hands tightened around him.
"Why's that?" Kevin asked with a chuckle.
"Most people would want to tutor for at least a month, but you on the other hand told my Dad to hire you for a week." Amy knew that a lot of her previous tutors had stayed for at least a month due to the amount of money Brian Stark promised them if they were able to improve her skill in mathematics.
But Amy beca even more interested in Kevin when Brian inford her that Kevin would only be teaching her for a week.
The news had co as a shock to her, but when she asked him why, Brian said that it was Kevin's choice.
Amy had assud that it was probably because the paynt Brian promised him might have been smaller than what he promised her previous tutors, but Brian assured Amy that Kevin had requested for his pay to be very low.
Kevin didn't actually talk directly to Brian Stark, but Sasha had served as the middleman between the two of them.
In short, Sasha's pay was three tis higher than what Kevin would receive even if he decided to stay for a month.
Sasha inford Brian that Kevin was only interested in tutoring Amy for a week and he was certain that Brian would see changes in her before the end of the week.
"It seems to like you're a bit too confident about this whole thing." Amy muttered. "So, you won't tutor for at least a month even if my Dad increases your salary? Don't you want the money?"
Kevin scoffed at her statent with a smile and replied. "Nah, I told Sasha the sa thing as well. I'm only doing this due to the passion I have for teaching," He lied once again.
Amy couldn't help but smile at the weird man she was having an interest in.
And possibly, falling in love with, with every second she got to know more about him.
'Wait a minute, if he is only intending on tutoring for a week, doesn't this an he has other places to go?' Amy thought, but decided it would be better to ask Kevin directly.
"Do you have other students you tutor aside from ?"
"Nope, you're the first student I'll be tutoring privately," Kevin removed himself from Amy's embrace.
He stood up from the bed before turning towards Amy. "Besides, I don't think I'll be doing this anyti soon."
"Why is that?"
"Because it seems I'm beginning to have feelings for my student."
"Really?" Amy exclaid with excitent. She tried to wrap her arms around Kevin's neck once again but…
"In your dreams," Kevin flicked her forehead gently with his finger, causing her to sit back on the bed.
"Ouch," She rubbed her forehead with a pout and asked. "But if I pass the test this Friday, will you keep tutoring ?"
"Maybe," Kevin replied with a shrug.
"If you're not going to tutor , will you be my boyfriend instead?"
"What does tutoring have to do with being your boyfriend?"
"Everything. Besides, I've said it before, I like you."
"Newsflash, I have a girlfriend."
"Then I'll make you mine."
Kevin scoffed at the audacious words being uttered from Amy's lips. She had been raised to get whatever she wanted since she was little.
However, even if she wanted Kevin to be her boyfriend, Kevin knew there was no way Brian Stark would agree to such a request.
He sighed, then rubbed the back of his head before walking towards the bed and sitting directly in front of Amy with his legs crossed.
"It'll take a lot more than just words to make your boyfriend," He declared, folding his arms in front of his chest.
Amy smiled because she felt Kevin was finally considering having her as his girlfriend.
If he wasn't, why else would he indirectly tell her that she would have to do a lot more to be his girlfriend?
She scooted closer to Kevin with a smile on her face as she asked. "Then tell what I need to do."
Kevin smiles in return. "It's simple. Do you trust ?"
"What...?" But just before she could finish her sentence, the scenery around her changed and she suddenly found herself sitting on her bed which was now hovering above an ocean rather than in her pink-colored room.
"How did we…?"
"Brace yourself," Kevin interjected.
"What…?" Just before she make sense of what was happening, the bed fra lowered a bit, stopping just above the water's surface before it began to sail on the ocean like a boat.
Amy turned around in bewildernt at how the bed sailed steadily on top of the ocean.
At first, she had thought she was dreaming, but the constant wind that blew against her face seed to say otherwise.
Everything she was seeing was like magic and it was the first ti she had experienced sothing like this. Her lips widened into a grin and she turned towards Kevin.
"How are you doing all this?"
Kevin smiled in return, noticing the awed look on her face. "You haven't seen anything yet. Take a closer look at the ocean," He motioned for her to move forward.
Amy crawled steadily to the edge of the bed before looking closer, but to her surprise, a woman erged from the ocean, waving at Amy with a smile before diving back into the ocean, revealing her huge tail.
"A rmaid?!!"
