Kevin opened his eyes right after he heard the door close shut after Dahlia dashed out of the hotel. Then he slowly stood up from the bed.
"Let's find out who called Dahlia just now."

Three hours later, Dahlia could be seen running towards a huge hospital. She ran straight to the fourth floor which happened to be where her sick Dad was admitted.
While she had been in the love hotel with Kevin, Dahlia had received a phone call from her mother informing her that her father was in critical condition and she had to be present.
Upon arriving on the fourth floor, Dahlia's eyes landed on her mother speaking to a hospital staff who was dressed in navy blue scrubs.
"Mom!!" Dahlia scread, tears streaming down her face as she rushed towards her mother.
"Dahlia!!" Yvonne also called out with tears in her eyes as she spread her arms wide for her daughter to rush into them.
The doctor gently cleared his throat, bringing their attention to him. "Ma'am, as I was saying, we have administered ergency treatnt, however, I have to remind you that ti isn't on our side."
Yvonne snivelled and begged. "Doctor, Please, can the operation begin now? It will take a while to gather such a huge amount of money, but I promise to pay it before midnight."
"How much is needed for the operation?" Dahlia asked, wiping the tears from her eyes.
"A sum of 150 thousand dollars is needed to carry out the surgery," The doctor replied and Dahlia fell into a daze as she felt everything around her fade into the background.
$150k??!
Dahlia couldn't believe her hearing, a hundred and fifty grand!!! Where the h.e.l.l did they expect her to find that kind of money? Moreover, her family had no health insurance.
Dahlia wondered if Yvonne could even get the money they needed within such a limited ti.
"Anyway, once you have it, you know where my office is." The doctor said, leaving them alone. Dahlia walked into the hospital room and stared at her father who was around his mid-fifties, just like Yvonne.
He had so wrinkles on his face and hands just like Yvonne, however, he looked more frail than she had ever seen him.
Dahlia held his hand, caressing it softly before turning to find Yvonne, making calls and seeking favours from anyone and everyone she knew.
But no one seed to be willing to offer her any help right now.
Dahlia turned back to look at her father. Seeing her father in such a state, made her heart ache.
She didn't even know where to begin in her search for the money for her father's surgical treatnt.
Asking Drake for help was a big NO. There was no way Drake would be willing to give out $150k just because her father needed to undergo surgery.
Drake had been abandoned by his father and mother and had grown to hate the word parents. So, that left Drake out of the list of people she could seek help from.
Dahlia thought deeply about the people around her and wondered if there was soone who would willingly offer the amount she needed for the operation.
But no matter how hard she thought about it, Dahlia didn't have anyone rich enough to just hand over the money.
She hated asking for favours, but right now she had to abandon her ego to make sure her Dad lived.
Of course, she would do everything and anything she could to earn back the money and return it on ti.
But then an image of Kevin appeared in her mind.
"I wonder if he would help with..."
*Boom!!!*
"Move away, please," The door to Dahlia's Dad's hospital room slamd open and suddenly two nurses rushed into the room with a stretcher and started rolling Dahlia's Dad away.
"What's happening? Why are you taking him away?" Dahlia asked worriedly, Yvonne had also stopped making her calls and was trying to find out what the h.e.l.l was going on.
"The fee for the surgery has been deposited and we'll begin the surgery shortly."
One of the nurses replied while taking Dahlia's Dad straight into the operating theatre.
"What? Deposited? By who?" Yvonne turned back to look at Dahlia.
She asked again with tears in her eyes. "Did you make a call to soone? Who paid the fee just now?"
But Dahlia was just as clueless as her mother about what was going on. She lifted her gaze and noticed that the doctor responsible for her dad's operation was passing.
She snivelled, then hurried over to him to ask. "Doctor, please, what's going on? Who deposited the fee needed for my dad's operation?"
The doctor adjusted his glasses and said, "That would be him," He said pointing back at soone, before walking faster to et up with the nurses in the operating theatre.
Yvonne and Dahlia slowly turned around to see Kevin approaching them.
"Y-you paid the fee?" Yvonne stuttered, still shocked by what was going on.
She turned towards Dahlia who was holding her hands and asked. "Do you know him?"
Dahlia nodded ekly and replied. "Yes, he's my…"
But Kevin interjected.
"I'm her boyfriend."
anwhile, the parasite corrected him in his mind. [No, you are her DADDY.]
Both Dahlia and Yvonne looked at Kevin with wide eyes. Yvonne's racing heart finally cald down and a small smile appeared on her lips.
"I see, so you're her boyfriend," Yvonne held Dahlia's top in a very strong grip, pulling her closer before placing her face on Dahlia's bosom while crying profusely.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you..." She said repeatedly, weeping and soaking her daughter's shirt with her tears.
She had been scared that she would never get to see her husband again, but now a glimr of hope had appeared in her previously dark world, Yvonne couldn't suppress the tears welling up within her.
[Hey, do not cry momma. As a 'Daddy' to little Dahlia, it's the least my disciple could do for his naughty little girl.]
