1ok, I tried HAHA. In Chinese, theres a common way to answer soone when they ask: what should we do? (? zn bn). If you want to answer in a non-serious way, bickering way, and/or a sarcastic way, youd answer with sothing along the lines of dress cold food with sauce ( ling bn)especially if you dont know the answer to the question to begin with. Its probably used because (bn) and (bn) sound exactly the sa, just spelt differently and an different things, so they chose that commonality and soone, I guess, just randomly used that word one day and it was made popular. It makes no sense, but thats the point I guess.
There is one more aning behind it though: to ignore the situation/problem. Which actually makes the word rather suiting because it ans cold. And I guess its also like saying to give the situation/problem the cold shoulder. could also be used to describe desolation, disappointnt, heart sinking etc. Take with that information what you will hahaha. Thats just my understanding based on years of hearing and reading that word and a brief baidu search with Chinese answers while translating XD. Ive only studied in China for a year so Im not all too familiar with the colloquial language in China.
