I leaned back in the bed, deep in thought. It turned out that my worst suspicions were true. A girl suddenly appearing in need of saving? She resembled soone I cared about? When she heard my na, she instantly ca on board? All of that had been suspicious. It seed like the assassin’s guild did have it out for , and she had just been a trap used to make it easier to get to . Worst of all, they were moving quickly, and there would be so kind of assassination attempt tonight. I wasn’t that worried though. No sooner had I Celeste arrived to deliver information than I had heard communications from my other girls.
“Master, I sense assassins on board. Should I take care of them?” Shao asked.
“So suspicious people just ca on the ship, Master,” Miki reported.
“I sense sothing is going on.” Lydia also reported.
When I pulled up my map, I even had the entire ship mapped out and could see the red dot and where they were hiding. Interestingly enough, Rea didn’t appear as red. She was hostile, so I should see her as an enemy. I had learned in the past that who was seen as red and who was seen as grey or green depended on my perception. If I saw soone as my enemy, even if they weren’t actively attacking , they would be red. Likewise, if an ally attacked , they wouldn’t necessarily turn red. However, in Rea’s case, her intention was clear.
“Although she’s a bit misguided,” I spoke out loud.
“She seems to have a dislike for slavery,” Celeste spoke up. “Earlier, she grew upset when we called you master.”

“I see…”
I didn’t know what to think of Rea. I had a growing feeling like she had so poor opinions about . When she had tried to co onto earlier, was that so kind of honeypot? Whoever she was, she was young and inexperienced. I had a feeling she was being misled by this guild master. My running assumption was that they were talking about the guild master of the assassination guild, who appeared to know Rea.
“What should we do, Master?” Celeste asked.
I gave it so thought. These assassins were already on board. If I imdiately attacked, they probably had so kind of ans of escaping quickly. At best, we’d capture them and they’d kill themselves just like the last batch. If Rea were to take so kind of poison and die, I felt like that would be a sha. Even though I now knew that she was deliberately selected to try to keep my guard down, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I didn’t want her to face a bad end. It was a strange kind of feeling. I wouldn’t exactly call it intuition. Maybe, it had to do with being so close to the Abyss.
“Alright, stay close and watch them. Let’s let them make their move. We can set up a trap around them. I want to capture one of the assassins this ti alive.” I thought about it for a second and then added. “If Rea doesn’t reveal herself, then ignore her for now.”
Let’s see how the assassin guild’s second assassination attempt went. Since I was the only one they were after, I was confident we could catch them in their trap.
